Hey, @Gowi, @Natsucooldude, I'll allow a few more days if you tell me you need em, but if you can't, I suppose I'll just have to assume direct control of Stein and Jan Van Gent until you two are ready to do things again, in a bit. If you think it'd be better to just MIA for a while until you're ready to get back in, that's fine too.

Also, for everybody else: I've been reading Gowi's post history and it appears something is fucked with his laptop, so y'know. I'l let him do that either way.

I've got 2 question to the universe, and don't know which is right.
  • How does everyone manage to get malware on their computer?(at purchase preinstalled bloatware excluded, if someone includes bloatware in malware)
  • How do I manage to NEVER get malware onto my computers?

Depends. I am less likely to fall for random mass-attacks, but I am also more likely to be targeted specifically, because avoiding such sites USUALLY has a reason. Although the risk of the latter is still extremely low, I guess.

1) I've been using the internet for over seventeen years, so I've run into a lot of viruses, malware, and the like. I haven't had a virus like this in a few years (and it got defeated in less than four days with no long-lasting damage to my security or computer); its really not a big deal. As for how the average person gets malware? Ads, misleading links, illegal downloading, etc.

2) A combination of luck and paranoia.
