Venin looked towards Ken and gave a small, smileless wave. He wasn't as uncomfortable as he normally would be. Perhaps Serah was beginning to have an effect on him.

"As Serah put it, I can control the temperature, but honestly, I just make things cold," Venin gave a small sigh and looked at the ground. "I could make some snow if you want, I don't understand much of it yet. I've noticed it's mostly emotion-based," he shifted, not sure what to think of Ken, then again, he didn't really know what to think about much of anything. Spending most of your school life trapped in your house does that to a person.

"Good idea," Venin hopped through the window, not caring about the small pieces of leftover glass. He sat down, frost already forming on the tips of the grass blades closest to him. He covered the wound on his left hand, unpleasant thoughts of Yasmin popping into his mind as she played the piano.

Ken followed, eager to find out Venin's power. When left to his own creativity, he imagined it was something like Subzero from Mortal Kombat. It would be cool if, he pulled off some sort of freeze-y fatality thing. As he daydreamed about this, he noticed the grass blades freezing around him.
"Looks like you're already using it, huh?" Ken said, teasing Vernin. "Well, come on now, make it snow! I wanna get out of school early."

"Ken, it's already out," Venin looked towards Ken and gave a soft smile, that is, before hitting him in the face with a handful of snow. "I seem to be the only one that can pull off a snowball fight in above freezing," he looked towards Yasmin, wondering why she stopped playing.

"Ah!" Ken said as the snowball hit him in the face. He had gotten some in his mouth by screaming, leading him to spit it out on the ground.

A bit dickish, but he was just being playful I suppose... Ken thought to himself as he wiped off the snow from his face.

"Next time, give me a heads up, ya jerk." Ken let out a small grin back at Vernin. The grin itself was sincere, but behind it lied a bit of malice towards Vernin.

The next day an announcement was made that due to the happenings of the previous day, the introductory assembly would have to take place today. All students were requested to walk in a calm and orderly fashion to the main hall. The main hall was rather large, big enough to comfortably fit the large number of students in it. There was a stage at the front on which sat some of the faculty and the principle of the school.
