Waitress at a local restaurant, Serenade, near the University

Originally a blonde, Ely has a tendency to dye her hair the colors of the rainbow. Her hair is currently pascal pink and periwinkle. Her figure is petite, her height is 5’1, and just know in terms of weight, all her friends can easily pick her up without breaking a sweat. Though she looks like she hardly eats, she loves food and can eat just as much as her best guy friends. When it comes to makeup, she darkens her eyebrows with pencil eyeliner, wears color contacts but originally has green eyes, and loves to wear grunge to goth clothing (occasionally cutesy depending on her mood). Purple is her favorite color but she prefers wearing black. Her lips are complemented with vibrant colored lipstick and under her lower lip are snake teeth piercings. She puts enough eye makeup to get her eyes to pop and her outfits are almost always accessorized with a choker, a bunch of bracelets, and/or stockings (or socks). Ely has English, Scottish, Danish, Swedish, and Irish ancestry. As a mutt, she doesn't even bother talking about race, she simply tells people she's white. On her back is a large tattoo of angel wings to symbolize the loss of her brother, Brandon, who committed suicide a year ago. Part of why her looks are far from her birth appearance is because she hates looking like her mother.

A walking ticking bomb, Ely keeps a lot bottled up and acts like she has no care in the world. Even with her close friends around, she’s unable to express her honest feelings to them. A great listener, but a runaway by heart. Afraid of being hurt, she has built a wall between her and everyone else. Her anger fits are usually always a big scene, even if she doesn’t mean to draw attention. She's failing math and gym. Math because she's just really bad at it and gym because her attendance is poor and when she is there, she doesn't get along with everyone else. Her gym teacher has suggested for her to get counseling, being very aware of her loss, but she refuses to go. High school is a drag and almost all of the entire student body calls her an attention whore.

Ely is too stubborn to express that she may need help from her friends in more ways than one. Though the negative may outweigh the good, she is fun to be around with and a friend who cares, regardless of her inability to say "I love you". Known for giving the most memorable experiences for her friends, good or bad, Ely’s creativity to have a good time never fails them. Even if she can’t run to them for herself, she’ll drop everything she’s doing to be with them. She’s the type of person who would jump in front of a bullet for them, but wouldn’t let them do the same for her.

Long story short, Ely has overbearing parents that can push any child over the edge. They believe in idealism and hold her up to the highest of expectations. When she was a little girl, her mother tried to mold her into a socialite. Someone who impresses the masses, for compliments and prestige. She could never escape her appearance. Her duty, as the daughter of a run of the mill lawyer and a housewife, was to be a sophisticated lady that'll make her parents look good. Her father wanted her to be an intellectual like him. While her mother wanted her to be a respectful woman, who would find a rich man and get married to him.

The thing about her parents was they didn’t bother to notice she was a visionary and loved to create outfits. When she did bring up wanting to have her own boutique, they would ignore her completely. Her mother never believed her daughter had a chance because of the way Ely chose to "express herself" (Ie. Her attitude and her attire). They hated how she dressed nowadays and were embarrassed to even lay their eyes on her. Saying things like, “If you keep acting like that, you’re going to end up like your brother.” When Ely reached of age, she took a waitress job because god knows, her parents couldn't support her fashion needs.

Anyways, Ely believed her parents to be mediocre at best and heartless bastards. She had very little to her name and her parents were trying to force their ambitions on her. The only reason why school was worth going to was because of her friends. One day, she would get out of this hell hole. Her older brother, always one year ahead of her, was her reason to pursue her dreams. He was so kind and constantly encouraging her to "follow her dreams". Yet, out of the both of them, he seemed to be the more promising of the two. He would of been able to go to Princeton or Yale... or any Ivy League for that matter. He was a genius by birth. Unfortunately, his intelligence came with a price. His classmates were jealous of him and knew he wanted to fit in...

A year ago, her brother overdosed on heroin. He hit his breaking point not only because of his parents but because of his Heroin addiction. Fucking assholes introduced that shit to him when he was a sophomore. He hated his life, so... he left her. She didn't have her brother, her best friend, anymore. He wasn't here to take on this world with her. She felt so alone. She tried to help him when he was getting bullied, she tried to help him with his addiction, but… she was too late. Brandon had already decided to leave this world. He had already decided to leave her.

“Who wants another shot?!” This was her senior year! She was going to enjoy it to the fullest and of course, numb her pain, with a good smoke, ecstasy, and booze!

Did you read the rules? Yes, I did. I currently like the song Deus In Absentia by Ghost that came out last year. I don't know any 2016 songs off the top of my head.
