You can call me Ninian! I've been roleplaying for a lot longer than I'd like to admit. 16 years... maybe? *shudder*

Anyway, I'm excited to start RPing here! I'm always ALWAYS interested in Final Fantasy VII or Pokémon-themed RPs (though I prefer them to stick closer to canon themes). I have some bad experiences with original worlds, so for the most part I'll only RP within a fandom. I can post anywhere from two paragraphs to... a lot more paragraphs. I try to be concise, but sometimes I have characters that just beg to have random shenanigans happen. Oh also, despite me being of legal age, I prefer to keep my RPs PG-13tastic. I also tend to prefer avoiding romances if at all possible. If it makes sense, sure, but... still, PG-13, etc.

I've dug myself too deep in a romance Rp, I'm binge roleplaying right now XD. And my profile is actually someone getting hit by a wave of feels. Look closely and the white lines are actually feels XD

I get too invested sometimes and I freak out when my character has to break up with someone or someone gets hurt XD

I used to be that way too. I might still be? I don't know my only character that had any real romance going on got into a lot of trouble and uhh, it was bad. Nope nope nope, all of my nopes. XD

I usually make my character go into trouble myself, realise what I did and then freak out at what I started XD. I've had a character get injured and I was just horrified at what I did. I don't know, it gets me going a lot. When you invest in a character and (not to seem philosophical, hippie or anything) feel their emotions it kinda makes you write better, if that makes sense XD.

And for me, the best way to do that quickly is get into a romance, usually a gradual and slow process. And that must've sucked, what happened?

Hahahah! This particular trouble just happened... oh man. But yeah. I try not to get too attached? But I do have to get inside of their head and feel their emotions, so yes for stuff like that to happen it can be stressful.

I'll be completely honest, it's been YEARS since the particular RP happened, so I'm sure I only remember a very, very small portion of what happened. I know my main character fell in love with a rogue, and that was pretty happy for a while. Then, her long-lost (long-forgotten?) childhood friend approached her. She finds out he's a super player, black book and everything. Mildly disgusted, whatever. Anyway turns out he's had a thing for her this entire time and only does this to block out the paaaaain. Cue my character finds out. All of her what the fucks.

Drama happened that I absolutely don't remember, but still feel the aftermath of. Rogue-boyfriend disappears. Something horrible happens to her childhood friend, and it's entirely her fault. .... and... yeah. Wish I remembered more. The RP was on Acorn Rack so it was nuked a long time ago, I can't even go back to read. :(

Wow. I would bawl me eyes out and then be amazed at how I played out a typical romance drama movie. Acorn Rack? I have never been to a roleplayer site apart from the Guild actually XD, I feel like I'm missing stuff. Well, I joined a NRP-centered site but was banned by a mod because I was Asian or something XD. I would've loved to read that. And wait, did the user who roleplayed the boyfriend talk to you before doing that?

I've got a slice of life that would be really interesting to read, I would think. Great posts and drama. It's where I got most of my titles XD

It was pretty epic but... It's one of those it was a great experience, I'm glad it happened, and let's never do it again? Kinda like the final message after beating Undertale's Pacifist Ending if you try to open the game again. >_>;;

Oh boy. So back in my day (15 or so years ago?) there were a few roleplay-centric forums. AvidGamers and AvidGamers2 was the largest one for a very long time. I had a site on there and... one day? Nuked. Completely gone. So then Acorn Rack happened, it was basically AvidGamers. I'm not sure if it was better or worse, but by then I was older and could actually code forums and stuff so I did cool things with it. Guess what? Whole site nuked. Anyway, the only thing you're missing is the frustration of having all of your hard work destroyed and you'll never be able to enjoy your old stories again. Oh no, banned from a NRP site? That's sad :(

The RP was pretty intense. @___@; Basically, when the boyfriend-rogue disappeared, he poofed IRL, so we just had to work with that. The child-hood friend and I were OOCly good friends and discussed a lot of plot points together, so all of the other stuff was talked over at least to some extent. We had an agreement that anything was fine between the two of us, more or less.

Undertale's soooo good, my gawd. And all your sites were nuked? Like hacked, funding was lost, everyone left or was it deleted? I'm sad when a roleplay dies, I can't imagine what would happen if the Guild disappeared (which it did, two years ago, thankfully I wasn't around when that happened. Everything was deleted). And that sucks that the guy left. He didn't give a reason, huh? It's cool that you guys worked your way around that.

I don't actually know what happened, so I'm going to do some research. I believe Acorn Rack lost funding, though. I don't believe any of them were hacked, but they were most likely deleted. Basically the sites were forum hosting sites, kind of like Enjin, Gamerlaunch... those WoW Guild sites that allow you to set up forums and stuff. Except it was designed for roleplaying. Yeah, I hope the Guild doesn't disappear, that would be depressing. Anyway, basically what you just described is how AvidGamers 2 happened, I think?

He just vanished. I don't know. :( Oh well, and yeah we worked around it fine, it was just DEVASTATING to my character since the love of her life... I think we said he died? I don't even remember, ahahaha.

Well, Lord of Spam and Ship came from people telling me that I was almost constantly on the roleplay and just spammin' it with replies and just posting as soon as I was able XD. I got the ship part from basically shipping almost every character with almost everything. I shipped a guy with a hobo and that became something in the actual roleplay and the hobo is one of my characters in another roleplay XD. And a running joke is one of the characters being shipped with a potato (which is horrifying if you ever go to chat).

King of Chat's Horniness came from me accidentally turning almost everything into an innuendo. Someone said it would be a good title, I agreed and then it turned into something. Tribal Chieftain of the Sheepmen is a joke (by them damn Aussie roleplayers) about us New Zealanders being only known by our sheep population (granted, it is true XD) and that we aren't humans but Sheepmen due to our close proximity to sheep. And I named myself chieftain because I currently know not a single other New Zealander. _{Damn Aussies keep teasing me about it.}

The Lonely Hearts thing is something someone suggested and is something that I might make. It sprung up in Valentine's Day and only served to sadden me more, really XD.

Yeah, honestly Valentine's Day is a horrible holiday. I have a fiance, and we had a wonderful time today(yesterday?), but it's still total shit. ._.;

I was too busy posting in an RP to look into it sooooo, going to do that right now! I'm genuinely curious why my childhood/teenage years was destroyed.

Nope. Nothing saved. At all. I found the site on the waybackmachine, but it only has the login page for obvious reasons. Sigh.

The best serious relationships are basically the ones where you're both friends, and you do friends things. I mean, obviously MORE than friends things, but you're friends first. And I'm incredibly opinionated so I have to be with someone significantly more passive or it gets ugly. Fast.

Yup, Pokémon! Since Acorn Rack died, I don't think I'll ever find a group for a serious/good FFVII RP. At least not until the remake. I had one about two years ago that finished, but... I need another one. *cries* Actually now that I think about it, the most recent of my FFVII RPs, I played a character with a romantic interest. Not that they had time to do anything over all of the dying.

Ohhh, Dragonriders of Pern. It's like... a Sci-Fi dragon book thing. Except only some of them really scream sci-fi, a lot of them seem a bit more fantasy or medieval. Even though it's an Earth colony. But no one remembers that. Basically the story centers around humans who have telepathic connections with genetically engineered dragons. Who are basically TARDISes. At least in the sense that they can jump through space, and some of them can jump through time, too. I'm entirely too drugged to actually explain anything coherently.

And with that, I'm going to go lay down, maybe sleep. Maybe browse for a bit, maybe reply here. Though I can't promise anything I say from here out tonight will make ANY sense. This post might not even make sense, I don't really know! :D Silly sleeping pills. @_@

Hey, get some sleep. The fact that you've been replying for this long is amazing :D. And I understand the friend thing but that's all I am to all the girls I meet. Friend. I asked a girl out once and all she did was giggle and told me to come off the drugs. Tried to explain to her that I was serious but she just kept denying that I even asked, ya know? Pretty sure she thought I was homosexual and that comment just put me off really XD. And I tried several times with other girls and it was pretty much the same response. I'm a poor sod, no one's really interested XD.

Anyways, that book seems awesome! I might download it later for a good read :).

Also, to someone who has troubles with sleeping, sleeping pills are amazing!
