Bofur sighed in resignation and nodded, stepping forward to give the halfling a friendly pat on the shoulder. "Well then, in that case I wish you all the luck in the world." though, he frowned as he noticed that the blade at Bilbo's belt was glowing bright blue through the sheathe. "What's that...?" he asked with interest, pointing to it.

It was about then that Thorin sat up, hearing a loud creaking, as a large crack opened up in the floor. "WAKE UP!" he shouted to the rest of them to alert them, but it was too late. The trap door swung open and the entire company plunged downwards, landing on a wooden walkway, with goblins screeching and running towards them.

Serena and Bane fell as well, bane grabbing Kili and Fili and moving under them to break their fall. Serena jumped up, reaching for her blade but Bane didn't get up as fast.

"Get off me!!" Gloin grunted as he struggled against the goblins, who had immediately rushed the group and seized hold of them, binding up their hands, albeit crudely, with ropes and shoving them along the walkway. They seemed to be taking them prisoner, deliberately leading them somewhere for some purpose or other.

The only member of the party that they didn't have a tight hold on was Bilbo, the halfling being so much smaller than the dwarves and humans, the goblins quickly forgot about him, and he could easily slip away if he wanted to.

Serena went to Bane, kicking the a goblin off of him and helped him up. "Bane, are you alright?" Bane nodded, holding his shoulder. They were taken with the others, Serena spotting Bilbo and nodding for him to get out of there. Bilbo waited till they were all gone, then froze, not sure what to do now.

The group were herded forward until they were stopped in front of a large, gruesome looking throne that appeared to be made out of bones of some sort. A large, fat goblin sat upon it, glowering at them through bulging eyes as he demanded loudly.
"Who would dare be so bold to come armed into my domain?!"
"Dwarves, your Malevolence." wheezed one of the goblin subjects.
"Dwarves?!" the goblin king repeated, seeming even more surprised to hear the answer. "What are you doing in these parts? Speak!"

None of the dwarves uttered a word, exchanging wary glances as they shuffled their feet uncomfortably. They had been caught completely off guard and didn't know what to do with themselves.

Bane was fighting not to lose it, his shoulder turning black. Serena was watching him, worried that the shoulder was dislocated or worse. She looked at Thorin and their eyes met. He heard her in his head *I think Bane is hurt, but I can't tell if any of the others are...if you can tell just nod if they are alright and shake your head if you see any of them hurt...* She was trying to think of a plan but needed to know how many were hurt that might need help first.

Bilbo started to head the way the company had been taken, hoping to catch up with them and somehow help them. But after a time and a couple miss steps, he and a goblin fell off a cliff where he would find the thing that would change his life forever.

At first Thorin had blinked and whipped his head around to stare at Serena in shock. He had never been spoken to telepathically before and the last thing he had expected was to hear her voice in his head. Slowly, his mind began to process what she had asked of him and he quickly looked around at the rest of the dwarves, none of them seemed badly hurt, so he nodded in the mage's direction.

"Very well then," the goblin heaved in a loud breath as he stood up, waving his arms in the air. "If they will not talk, then we'll make them squawk! Bring up the Mangler! Bring up the Bone Breaker!" he pointed towards Ori, Kili and Fili. "We'll start with the youngest!"
"Wait!!" Thorin shouted as soon as his nephews were threatened. The goblin king looked at the dwarf prince in surprise.

Serena looked around and looked at Bane looked at her and nodded. Serena sighed and looked at Thorin, not sure what he wanted to do. She moved silently over to Bane and leaned to him, pulling him to lean on her. "It will be alright BAne...just don't lose your cool..." Bane nodded, his eyes glowing yellow but he took even breaths.

"Well well, if it isn't Thorin, son of Thrain, son of Thror." drawled the lead goblin with false enthusiasm, bowing mockingly. "King Under the Mountain! But I'm forgetting," he grinned then, taunting Thorin, "you're not a King. And you don't have a Mountain, which...makes you, nobody really."
Thorin narrowed his eyes and clenched his fists, but said nothing. He threw a worried glance over his shoulder at Serena and Bane.

Serena blinked and muttered "Of course...that's what this is all about..." Bane looked at her and said "What is it?" Serena smiled and said "Looks like we have a lot in common more then I thought..." Bane looked at Thorin and said "Wait...his that Thorin..." She nodded and said "There's only one reason he would be heading to the Lonely Mountain...well, we better make sure he gets there" She looked around and started checking everything nearby. "Bane...how far can you go if the need comes..." Bane thought and said "I can handle it to the breaking point" She nodded and looked at Thorin and smiled, nodding.

Thorin gave a slight nod back, and had been prepared to order the others to fight their way out, but the goblin king's ranting wasn't finished, and what he said next caught the dwarven prince off guard.
"I know someone, that would pay a pretty price for your head." he wheezed loudly with laughter, and many of the other goblins joined in. "Just the head, nothing attached! Perhaps you know who I speak of, a Pale Orc. Astride a White Warg."
"Azog the Defiler was destroyed!" Thorin hissed in disbelief.
"So you think his Defiling days are done, do you?" sneered the goblin king, turning to one of his messengers. "Send word to the Pale Orc, tell him I have found his prize."

"Serena, Bane...do something..." Fili hissed, not sure they could get out of this on their own.

Serena nodded and said "I'm working on it...we just need a opening and Bane and I can handle the rest..." Bane nodded, rolling his neck. "We wait for Thorin's word and we will act...after all, his the king of the lonely mountain...I won't mess up his plans if he has any..." Serena suddenly said "Or someone else's...he should be catching up soon anyway..."

"Well I dunno, it doesn't look like Thorin's got a particularly great plan if he has one at all..." Kili chipped in as he sidled up next to his brother. It was then that the goblins that had been rifling through the dwarves things came upon Orcrist. As it unsheathed the sword, the goblin that held it suddenly screamed out loud and dropped it. The other goblins all began to cower backwards too, even the king goblin.
"He has the Biter! The blade that sliced a thousand necks!"

The dwarves weren't sure what that meant but it seemed to make the goblins very angry, for the king goblin screeched out. "Beat them! Slash them! Kill them!"
"Thorin!" Fili shouted out as Thorin was pinned down, a goblin blade close to his throat. "Cut off his head!" shouted the goblin king.

Serena nodded and said "Bane now!" Bane roared and broke the ropes around his wrists and jumped forward. He tackled the goblin on Thorin and Serena ran forward and hit another one off. She turned just as there was a blast and Gandalf stood there, holding his blade. "Back away from these warriors!" Serena turned and said "About time...he took long enough..." Bane was panting, holding his shoulder. "Thorin...you alright"

"Fine...thanks." Thorin coughed as he shakily got to his feet and quickly grabbed Orcrist again before the goblins could come to. "Quickly, all of you!" he ordered the dwarves. "Pick up your weapons, we have to fight our way out!"

Blinking against the daze that had been caused by the bright light Gandalf had used, the dwarves struggled to do as Thorin had ordered. The goblins were also beginning to recover, and a rather loud battle ensued as the dwarves, with Bane, Serena and Gandalf, tried to fight their way to the exit.

Serena went back to back with Bane who said "Shall we?" Serena smiled and nodded. "Thorin, we will clear the path, just watch our backs!" The pair headed for the path, both pulling blades free and cutting down anything in their path. Gandalf smiled and followed, looking at Thorin. "I see you brought some friends with you"

"They insisted." Thorin nodded slightly, lifting Orcrist up into a ready position as he charged after Serena and Bane, cutting down any goblin that tried to come up behind them. "You took your time, though." he growled at the wizard, thinking that if Gandalf had been there from the start they would have never got caught by the goblins at all.

Gandalf said "there was a matter that I needed to attend to. I knew you would all be alright" bane tossed a goblin over the edge and grabbed his shoulder. "Bloody...I did bang it up...we need to find a way out of here" Serena nodded and hit another with her staff. "Agreed...I hope Bilbo found a way out..."
