Also, I was thinking since we have a large amount of atheist/quasi-monarchists and even pagans in our midst, we should have a Robed Swords ''inquisition'' type event. They'd visit the camp and investigate rumours of witchcraft and other vile demonspawn creeping in the camp.

Especially interesting given we already have 3 ex-servants namely Terryn, Haesteinn and now our new monk-friend.

As much as I hate to admit it, I'm struggling for a post at the minute.

Apart from that though, the Robed Swords Inquisition sounds like it could be potentially very interesting, especially with my character being a total atheist.

I'd suggest just starting a conversation with someone, and writing about the return to the camp. It doesn't have to be long. I'll post shortly after to get things going again.

It's not that I can't deal with character development per say, more that I'm trying to overhaul Jahan into a more diplomatic, and less flashy run-in-circles-until-the-enemy-gets-tired type character

After this battle though perhaps one of the more experienced fighters of the group could give him some battlefield combat tips? I feel like he'd be good in a one-on-one situation but as you said, his style wouldn't work too well in an actual battle.

Ok, that post may seem a bit extreme this early on but just stick with me on this, the character will be a lot more interesting for it

Of course, if it's too much I can edit and make it a little less dramatic.

@Thortimer perhaps you laid it on a bit thick (I find it hard to imagine you'd be granted control over some men the day you arrive) but otherwise it was a good post. I certainly enjoyed it.

As a sidenote for future reference - if you are a peasant with a horse, typically you'd still not fight on horseback. That was reserved for the cavalry specifically, whom usually consisted either of veterans or of noblemen. I imagined those men would be part of the 40 or so men that went around the sides to flank under control of the other commanders (aka not Haesteinn).
