Unable to break free from his deep-seated desire to cloak the world in fineries (psh, royalty…), Ben opened the shop as a way to keep his Sidhe heritage alive, often weaving bright and strangely patterned fashion that’s always a hit around prom season. One thing living in a forest for centuries taught Ben was how to brew up a mighty fine cure. Using techniques passed down through the Summer Court, Benjamin is known throughout the Vale community as the go-to for any magical ailment, or even physical. Sadly, a popular treatment he seems to be giving lately is reversing Essix overdose. Inside of The Brewery is a stabilizing chamber for patients to safely discharge their magical energy after a heavy trip. Sort of like a magical drunk tank.

In all ways, Ben holds himself highly, and proudly. Every point of his appearance describes his confidence, from his strong jaw and commanding, frosty eyes, to his
sharp, clean dress. He is a man of reasonable bulk, fit but not highly toned. There is a slight gracefulness to his form, as though "misstep" wasn't in his vocabulary. If he’s not in his usual white button-up, black slacks and tie at work, then he’s usually a stylish sweater or similar sleek but casual get-up. Most of the time he’s got a worn leather satchel with him, containing threads and measuring tape, some herbs in vials, among other little knick knacks.

As with most fae, Ben is incredibly allergic to iron, and contact with his skin will cause his flesh to boil and burn, unable to heal for a long while. If he is stabbed in the vitals with a cast iron blade, Ben will almost certainly perish.

Ben fears that he will grow to be useless to the community once the Essix issues are taken care of, if they ever are, and he fears that if for any reason his business were to fall through, the community would lose respect for him. A lot of Ben’s perceptions of himself come from the populace, and thus they hold a massive power over him.

One might call Oberon’s crossing to the human realm as a, “fall from grace”. And while he may have agreed in the early years, things took a turn for the better.

His days in the Court consisted of bored, frivolous politics, ridiculously fashionable finery, and exquisite parties that only the Fair Folk could arrange. Oberon's rule was fairly bland; During his reign, the most action to happen were minor border skirmishes on the edge of the woods the Summer Court called home. This was mostly due to the fact that their kingdom was quite tiny, as the fae could change their size to that of an insect. Only when threatened did they brandish their full form. Oberon, however, entertained his court with festivals, jokes, and other gaiety that brightened their otherwise dull lives. And while he did go a bit far with his, at the time, wife Titania, most jabs were in good spirit. Of course, dignitaries of other Courts came and went, bringing with them drab border declarations and policies. Perhaps they are the source of his discontent for the political game?

At any rate, things never truly picked up. Until Mystvale came crashing around them, that is. Oberon lost more of his Court than he cares to admit, including Titania. At the start of their new lives on Earth, he was absolutely crestfallen. Grief choked him, and for weeks he refused to leave his house once they settled in their homes in Cedar Grove. A king was supposed to lead his people in the most dire of events, and here he was with more blood on his hands than he could stand. With the Queen's blood.

After some time passed, the man now calling himself Ben found that there was work to be done and he was as able-bodied as anyone else. It was then he realized that his grief could be channeled into good. He joined the ranks of other Vales and opened his clothing store as a way of keeping Summer Court style alive. Ben also brought his alchemical knowledge from home to the table, and working with the Vale council, hoped to be a force of good.

Over time, the sadness waned and gave way to readiness to move on and be noble in a new sense. A new challenge arose each day, driving him to further succeed. Failure would not pass for him in Cedar Grove, and everyone was sure to know it.

Flora has turned her drag into a brand. As such, she’s almost never seen out of drag because it’s become a bit of a signature of her salon. Flora isn’t particularly tall or short, rather a medium height of 5’10” with defined legs and arms. Her jaw is rather masculine, but her contouring is on point when it comes to softening it. Her natural hair color is blond and is only seen in blonde wigs or unnaturally colored wigs (mainly purple and blue). When it comes to her makeup, it’s rather heavy but on point with the swish of the eyeliner, the placement of the eyebrows and eyelashes, and the lining of the lips to make them look particularly luscious. Flora only wears designer brand shoes and is particularly finicky with her clothes – she won’t be caught looking like trash in sweatpants and ugly t-shirts in public. Her nails are always glued on and perfect, and if a toe is showing then it is painted (though she doesn’t particularly like her feet, so closed-toe heels are more common but open-toed heels aren’t uncommon). She wears light cologne and holds herself with confidence; when she walks, she doesn’t walk particularly graceful but there’s an obvious sense of pride about her.

On paper, Flora seems like a tough person to swallow. She’s known for being insensitive to others, saying whatever comes to her mind, and she enjoys a rather witty and sassy sense of humor that has caused more than a few people to cry. Whereas most people are able to read a situation and deem the appropriate thing to say, Flora reads the situation and ignores the appropriate response in turn for her judging commentary. Flora loves to talk shit above all else and holds a special place in her heart and mind for her judgement – though her judgmental nature is usually reserved for bad outfits, ugly faces, and stupid people. Furthermore, Flora is vulgar and loud – she’s not afraid to drop a swear word here and there and has gotten in trouble multiple times for particularly uncouth comments (Flora doesn’t take back what she said about Piper’s ass). The most notable problem about Flora that others complain about is her pettiness. When Flora is pissed, Flora likes to get payback and often does it in the stupidest, most underhand way (Sorry not sorry Cinderella). After Flora is done with her payback, she tends to forget all about it because what’s done is done.

Despite all of her major misgivings, many people actually like Flora. Because, even though she insults everything and everyone and does it in the worst way possible, Flora is a fucking goodtime – and not just in the sexual way. Flora is the friend that insults and gets insulted and doesn’t make much of a fuss about it; she’s rather thick-skinned and every insult rolls off of her (unless it’s particularly annoying), so many people like to tease her and get teased by her. Not only that, but Flora is down for anything – if someone wants to go dirtbiking, Flora is the first to RSVP; if someone wants to go on a roadtrip, Flora is there to make the playlist and map the clubs they will hit. Flora even agrees to questionable adventures that may or may not end with them in jail. It doesn’t hurt that Flora is hilarious – or at least to herself she is – and makes it a point to make everyone laugh…even if it’s at the expense of someone else.

Flora is more than she appears on the outside. Though many like to call her stupid or ignorant, Flora is rather smart and open-minded. Politics is something she enjoys and she has a tendency to read books on such political areas. Flora also likes to keep herself educated with everything going on and doesn’t tend to question others’ decisions or choices. She’s also quite sentimental and keeps thing simply as a reminder of her past; she has trouble moving on from personal experiences because of her sentimentality. When interacting with others, it should be noted that she is rather persuasive and can talk straight men into “experimenting.”

If Flora's wand is broken, then she'll grow rather sick, her skin shriveling up and she'll die in a matter of days. Her wand can also be used against her, the magic able to kill her more quickly than if her wand is broken.

While Flora is not particularly insecure and doesn't care about what others think of her, she is scared of being mediocre or second-rate compared to others (mainly May) and not leaving her mark on the world.

She also fucking hates sharks - like no way is she getting in the god damn ocean with those beasts running around.

Flora hates the retelling of her life, in both Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. In the stories, she was reduced to a fucking Yoda when she’s an Anakin Skywalker (gorgeous and the center of attention). Not only that, but she’s suddenly an old nice woman who spends her time helping poor girls out of the goodness of her heart. Fuck you, Grimm Brothers. The truth of the matter is, Flora didn’t give a rats ass about the people she helped – most Fairy Godmothers didn’t – Flora just wanted to one-up May. They had started as frenemies at one point and slowly became shady rivals – Flora can’t remember why, but she did enjoy May’s face when Flora appeared before Cinderella (sorry, Ellis) right before May was about to.

Life had started out simple enough for Flora, she fucked around mostly and half-heartedly Godmothered (it was her job, afterall). One of Flora’s favorite memories is being at a party that Maleficent crashed and cursed a kid that Flora was supposed to help – Flora had fun with that one, putting Aurora to sleep was a hilarious decision but probably not the best. However, she was rather passionate about her politics and often attended rallies. Through the rallies, Flora found a distaste for the upcoming King, Prince Charming. Around this time, there was a poor boy who needed some Fairy Godmothering and Flora rushed to get there before May did. Well, long story short, Flora may had come up with a half-baked plan (while half-baked) to make sure Prince Charming didn’t become King Charming (she hoped homophobia would be his downfall). She charmed Prince Charming to fall in love with Cinderella in order to disqualify him, perhaps, and get his younger brother in office. It didn’t really work out well, so Flora shrugged her shoulders and dropped the issue – plus she got that guy a hotass prince, so what did it matter.

After that, Flora stayed away from the kingdom for a while, messing around with some girls and boys (and a few guys, but that was a completely different kind of messing) on the outskirts, doing the same half-assed Godmothering she was known for. However, before she had the chance to return to the kingdom to maybe fuck some more shit up, the Mystvale downfall began to happen and she soon was welcomed to Earth.

Life in Cedar Grove was pretty sweet for Flora – who refused to change her name, so she just had her new name spell out her old one. She thrived there; spending her nights as a Drag Queen (who knew she could be paid for something she liked to do to begin with) and sleeping around, and her days doing hair and talking shit about everybody. Flora doesn’t really remember Cinderella, not out of guiltily blocking the memories out, but Flora spent too much of her time fucking other lives up that it simply blended with the others (though if she were to see Ellis Seymour’s face again, she might remembers bits and pieces – she just needs some reminding).

Jack is somewhat an average sized male standing in at about 6’ 1” and a very well built body from top to bottom he looks like a mountain. Trapezius muscles and rippling biceps this man strands on the precipice of the human condition from years of living in the forest and training to kill giants, from the way he stands to the way he looks at people whether he means to or not Jack is a very imposing man. Long blond hair and blue eyes complement his face giving him a sort of contradictive look to his body its almost passively friendly. He usually wears regular clothes like white t-shirts and blue jeans mainly because he doesn’t truly care what he wears or appears to other people mainly because of his years secluded in the woods.

Jack has been and probably always will be that kid walking around with a chip on his shoulder looking to get it knocked off by someone always looking for a fight, and prepared for just about anything to happen in said fight. He isn’t a bully but very adamant about showing he’s no push over ready to dig his heels into the dirt and show just how stubborn he really is when it comes to a challenge or obstacle. Jack is a very straight forward individual letting you know quick exactly where you stand with him and not wanting to keep anything hidden, he is in fact nearly incapable of keeping secrets; this little personality trait is completely the opposite for women, of which he is inept at basic communication with members of the opposite sex more often than not choosing to ignore women as a result not wanting to deal with the complication.

At his core he wants to protect those in need and may come off just a little bit conceded being sure in himself and his abilities he can’t resist a damsel in distress nor can he ignore anyone genuinely asking for help this being said he is slow to trust and has little friends he also has a nasty habit of holding grudges for a very long time (Still hasn’t forgiven the sales men that tricked him when he was a boy). He always believes people have a hidden agenda or something they aren’t tell right off the bat; this way of thinking has probably curved his personality to be unneededly forthcoming.

We all know the story of Jack and the beanstalk and we all know Jack the giant slayer, but not everyone knows exactly what happened or why Jack is in fact more of a savage than people give him credit for.

Once upon a time there was a poor boy named Jack who climbed the magic Beanstalk that grew in his backyard after selling his cow to a strange old man. Just like in the story he found a castle filled with gold and home to a giant who sought to grind his bones to make his break. This didn’t deter him one bit as he stole various items from the giant on three separate occasions, but on the third he was caught by the giant and he chased poor Jack down the beanstalk. That boy Jack was prepared he had set a trap for that old giant hidden in a section of the beanstalk was a large spike attached to a pulled back vine and when the giant came down too far that spike snapped launching itself through its neck completely, but it wasn’t dead. Jack grabbed his sword and jumped on the giants falling back to finish the job on the way down, blood rained on the land below as they plummeted; if the constant stabbing didn’t kill the monster the fall did.

The fall crushed his home and killed his mother leaving dear Jack all alone in the world with nothing but that beanstalk. Standing up, it took a moment for Jack to really come to terms with exactly what had happened, laying there as blood formed into a puddle on the ground he could feel the giant still drawing breath.

“More will come…they know about the beanstalk” the giant laughed as his soul passed on into the afterlife.

Jack didn’t have much time to figure out the specifics the thought of what he just did combined with the giants approaching was a little too much to bare so he did what came to his head first he started chopping down the beanstalk but the more he sliced at it the more it just regrew even stronger. The second thing that came to his mind was to inform the lands, lord king Author Pendragon, but sadly the king was outraged that he even dared bring such a threat to his doorstep but he king offered him a deal to serve under him as a vassal and he would protect him against the incoming giants, refuse and he would be cast out as punishment for his greedy intentions with the giants and involving the whole country in a war. Jack remembered the reason why him and his mother lived out in the woods, to get away from being rules and declined the offer and chose to be exiled. Left alone in the forest that circled his former home Jack was left with one last alternative to dyeing that that was to prepare himself. Just like the trap he set with the beanstalk that teenager rigged an entire forest with deadly traps sharpening his sword and trained himself, the giants did not come as soon as he feared it was weeks before the first monster came and invaded the lands, an old scout carrying in his hand a gargantuan club for defense.

Jack made a noose out of the stems and vines from the very beanstalk he tried to cut down and hung it from the highest tree he could. Tricking the giant was easy they all were dim witted and saw fit to kill any Englishman they could find. Getting it to chase him was simple enough, getting its head through the noose even easier being that giants didn’t seem too bright; snapping around its neck chocking the life from the poor creature. The noose itself was strong, but the tree it was attached to was about to give if something wasn’t done soon, luckily he caught a break and the giants was all out of breath allowing Jack to deliver the final blow this being his pickax through its skull. More giants came but they never made it out of that forest, more blood and bodied are scattered in that forest than any battlefield. The heavens themselves took notice of Jack and inscribed his legend in the stars themselves, to this very day you can look up at the sky forming around Orion’s belt to create The Hunter.

Present day
These days Jack Kit lives in a fairly spacious apartment complete with a large bed made for multiple people but he uses it for himself, two bathrooms, a kitchen with all its furnishings and a second room to which he has converted into a mini gym; He make his income from being a fighting coach for traditional boxing, and Muai Thai boxing at his local gym.

She is seen usually wearing tshirts, blue jeans as well as a pair of sneakers in the warmer months. During the colder she wears either leather or jean jackets as well as blue jeans and a pair of high heel boots. In the early morning it takes her about thirty minutes to get ready and fully changed for the day though she does tend to wear warm and baggy clothing for night wear.

Alana is very loving and a caring person she is very kind to others she is also very helpful to those around her even to strangers or people that she doesn't know very well. She enjoys being around others and making friends and will go out of her way to help or cheer up a friend whenever they are in need of it. Alana is a very relaxed and calm person she is an extremely loyal friend and those she considers family and can be protective over them at times.

Though Alana can be really forgetful at times and will sometimes forget what she was doing and will go and do something else, and she as been known to be very clumsy and may sometimes trip or very accident prone but she usually will laugh it off like nothing happened. But whenever you do betray her trust then it will take quiet a lot of time for her to forgive that person.

Alana has a fear of being alone and not having anyone to be there for her when she is in need of them the most. She also will cringe at the sight of seeing a spider or at the sight of blood. Also losing her voice and never being able to speak which is also her true weakness.

Ariel lived a rather normal life back in Mystvale she was the princess of the underwater kingdom, she enjoyed the royal life style. She was known all around the kingdom to having a beautiful singing voice, Ariel was well loved by everyone in the kingdom. Until darkness started to descend onto the entire realm, she was forced to join the other Vales to go into a completely different world.

As soon as Ariel found herself and the other Vale's in Cedar Grove she had to find a new name, which she had chosen Alana Andrews as her new name. Though Alana misses her home back in Mystvale she had to pick up the pieces of her old life and start a completely new one. Alana picked up a job at Moriarty's until she was able to get an apartment of her own, during the days Alana will usually be seen around town mainly The Strip. At nights Alana would always be working the evenings at Moriarty's preferring the time when other Vale's come out and hang out. She has also been known to sing for the people at the bar whenever she asks to do it.
