Hello RPG. Long time, no see.
I used to frequent this site a long time ago. I think if I remember rightly, I started coming here at age 16 and then was here on and off for a good 5 or 6 years before life took over. Can't remember what name I went by, but I do remember how much fun I had. Hell, sometimes this place got me through life, as I am sure it continues to do for many people. How fortunate I guess that I stumbled back in here on a day that I'm home sick from work. I think that might be what has drawn me back here today. Sitting at home feeling sorry for yourself because you're not 100% makes you think all sorts of things. Today, wandering around online looking for something to pass the time, made me think about the past a little bit and I returned here.
A bit about me I suppose is necessary in an introduce yourself section. I'm 24, female, live in New Zealand. I currently work in a call centre, so I get to spend all day talking on the phone. I'm married, have been for almost 2 years. We bought our first house last year which was pretty exciting. Writing is one of my passions and my creative outlets. Singing is the other. Personality wise, in real life, I am pretty shy, quiet and introverted. This however, doesn't impact on the characters I play. Writing is an escape and a chance to be anyone you want, which I truly enjoy. I have a Bachelor of Arts in English and Classical Studies and a PostGraduate Diploma in Secondary School Teaching. Teaching is another one of my passions. I spent a year teaching English at two local high schools on short term contracts, but they ended and there was no teaching positions available where I live, so I had to return to my call centre job.
About me in terms of roleplaying...
I consider myself a more Casual/Advanced Roleplayer, but I freely admit I haven't been doing as much writing as I would have liked lately. I don't really have a favourite genre, but I tend to stay away from anything anime based. I enjoy fantasy, reality, sci-fi, fandoms, etc. I normally only play female characters and I try to make them as realistic as possible. I enjoy group RPs and 1x1s. I usually write anything from 3-7 paragraphs or so, depending on the story, the partner, the character. Sometimes I will write more, sometimes less if I feel the story needs to be moved on. I will always tell my partner/partners if something isn't working for me. There is nothing I hate more than a story that just stops, with no communication.
Anyways, I think I've probably rambled enough. Looking forward to jumping into some stories.
