When you say most reptiles, what kind of exceptions would that include? I was interested on making an eastern hermit/monk-flavored tortoise character and wanted to know if you might let that slide before whipping up a different idea.

The reptiles that weren't allowed were: Anything without legs, dragons, and salamanders. Turtles/Tortoises are alright, just remember that Beast/ Animals have both a human and animal form.

Okay, here's my revised question, @ianzerep. Is there any way for students on campus to purchase items they may need/want? Or do they need to wait for field trips?

The Supply building. I'll edit it the main page, seeing that I haven't made it super clear. It pretty much has nearly everything in a general sense. If they want something specific, like a certain kind of clothing and not some boring grey slacks, then they'll have to ask the Headmaster. He'll approve it, then either send Heffy, Aurelia, or himself to drive The Blight with the student along with to the nearest city or another, and look for the item the student wants

The students haven't been dropped off at the Academy yet, they are still within the airship, unless you were referring to Malleus and Gilfrid. Gilfrid is a teacher though.
