OK I'm going to go die in a hole. It was a bad joke and I took it way too far and made somebody feel bad. If it's any consolation, I leave the thread for a while so you don't have to deal with me. OK? I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt anybody. But that clearly has happened so I don't know how else to fix this problem that I created but to go on hiatus from the thread for a few days. Again I am very sorry to everyone, especially River, and I will get out of your hair.

Firstly, no. Don't die. Sleep. Straight to bed. At the risk of sounding like a parent, you need to sleep this one off and come back in the morning.
Fix the problem; well, I'll tell ya how. Sleep. Come back in the morning. Engage again. There's literally no problem but the result of a short, overbloated spout of late night drama.
There isn't a need to "leave for a few days", and dammit you're the GM. To be redundant - just sleep and come back in the morning.
