So the GMs were talking, and we made an oopsie! We tagged this roleplay with romance, but we didn't put an 'orientation' spot in the profile! Would you guys be interested in having that added? It can always be discovered/revealed within the roleplay, but it would be rude to assume that everyone is heterosexual. Spoiler: Cordelia's not. It's not like sexual orientations are a modern creation, after all.

We're assuming our cast is mostly heterosexual, but we'd hate to take away the option to properly express your character.

I put mine in. Ainsley doesn't have a love life now, but before he would go out with anyone that would have a good time.

Serenity is WAY too young to be thinking about that.

I'd actually prefer to leave the actual orientation bit left out to avoid metagaming for the sake of character romance, as well as to allow things to progress a bit more naturally between characters.

That's reasonable! It is fun to discover things like this through the roleplay. But at the very least with the inquiry, people can be aware that they don't have to adhere to a single orientation.

Woo! Finally fixed my cs!

I suppose this is best settled as making it optional to write in a character's orientation into the profile. It also slowly dawned upon me about writing in a relationship chart for characters, but I believe that such will also be an optional thing for people to do if they feel the need to keep track of a character's feelings towards another (such as hate, dislike, neutral, like, love; or enemies, acquaintances, friends, etc. Whatever floats your boat). I'll just edit these in as more optional items for character profiles if the player ever feels the want or need to write this information down, or simply to just extend your profile for one's wall-of-text viewing pleasures.

Also, I am pleased to say that writing-wise, I only have one more biography to write. That puny human should be easier to write for, and after updating profiles with pictures and filling in tiny bits of information, I will be looking for a good day to make the roleplay's first post along with presenting a bit of lore...

I hope the above made some sense. I feel as if I've been enchanted with sleepiness.

@Ace of flames01 -- Don't sweat it! It's all optional. If one feels the need to have such, be my guest. Profiles are no better or worse with or without them, honestly. (But if that's what you wish to do, be my guest! Though, I may recommend putting it in a hider... Depending on how you will be filling that out...)

Nevertheless, go with anything suiting your fancy. One last note: do make sure that the relationships you write are agreeable with the player who controls that character. So, filling it out may/will require a bit of collab among players...

Unless you find a way to not do the collab part and remain success in making the relationship chart thing, in which you will have surprised me and ought to teach me your ways.

And if I responded to this incorrectly, let me know so I can begin digging my grave of regrets and embarrassment.

Wanted to inquire about this myself. I understand that there are forces that may result in a lack of free time for a hobby such as this, but it'd probably be a good idea if there we at least had a prediction of when a start date might be.

Hey! We wanted to apologize to you guys for this being so slow to get off the ground - Draco is juggling real-life responsibilities, as am I, and it does cut down on time we can put into this roleplay. However, we have some good news! We're aiming to start the roleplay on Sunday! Draco's post will set us in motion, and then everyone can post.

If you're playing multiple characters, feel free to put them into separate posts. If they're in the same post, use the [ hr ] tag to separate your characters. Also regarding posts, don't forget to write at least two paragraphs! That's adequate for giving anyone you're interacting with enough to respond to. I'm sure you all know that, since we're in Casual, but just a friendly reminder!

If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask! We're happy to clarify any plot points or help you figure out what your character should be doing.

Yeah about that... I'm going to drop out. This took too long to start and I've lost complete interest. I get that life gets in the way but you can't expect me to wait a month and still have interest. Sorry but I'm no longer interested
