Mathigyle, with his toothiest grin, shook his head quite hurriedly for his age. Who had snuck into the halls past curfew? No matter. Madam Lilith had given the lich a number of keys for the male dorms, and he kept it in a hidden satchel somewhere in the burrow of his robes. Mathigyle appeared to pull out what appeared to be an ancient, rustic key, it appeared simple, but large enough that it had to be carried with some consideration. "Your room, down this left hallway and exactly halfway up the spire. Your roommate appears to be out at the moment..." The lich craned his neck again, as if listening, no, feeling. Mathigyle placed the key firmly in the drakken's hands, and patted him on the side of his arm. "Ah, hm, I'll be off now. Good night. Consider my class, if you would." The lich turned and began shuffling away. Back still turned, he exclaimed, "Ah! And do stay away from that darkness now."

Every step into the dark hallway seemed to be another attempt at finding the edge of a cliff. There were no torches, scarce candlelight, it was simply and unusually... dark. You took one step too far, and a cold chill began at your spine, to your face, now your arms... were you frozen in actuality or fear? Or both? A disembodied voice, from the darkness: "...Turn back..."
