This iCheck is for all of you TMNT fans who think the Ninja Turtles should be more ninja like and less like the Michael Bay giants with bulletproof shells. I'm sure if you're reading this you have a grasp for the concept as well as the characters whom in this game will be heavily inspired by the artwork of Deviant Art's 'Marv.' The difference between this game and other iterations of the Ninja Turtles goes beyond the look, but dives more into what it would be like for ninjas completely separated from the outside world being tossed into a city as large as NYC. The way I picture the Turtles in this...
Michelangelo - has the most knowledge of the outside world having collected a few magazines, comics, and a skateboard over the years. Insists on shortening everyone's names including his own down to 'Mikey.'
Donatello - is still the smartest of the group, however in the beginning of the RP it would be limited to the ways of the ninja. After the Turtles meet April and he sees an iPhone and a laptop his world will change.
Leonardo - has the natural born leadership qualities as always, however this iteration of 'Leo' will rely more on stealth. He's a bit of a stoic badass but is often beaten by his stronger brother...
Raphael - will still remain the hothead of the group and try to deal with everything on his own. This will put him at odds with his brothers but he welcomes the new world and finally seeing what's above the sewers.
Now that's not to say they are the only characters available. Another thing that will separate this TMNT from others will be the fifth/female Turtle. However, in this instance, it will be April sometime after the game begins getting mutated by some ooze. She won't have ANY of the ninja training, but it should make for some good drama in the RP.
The story will revolve around the Foot Clan discovering Splinter's base but not the Turtles. When Splinter discovers the Foot are after him, he sends the Turtles on an errand to get 'pizza' for the first time. When they return to their sewer styled dojo they find Splinter dead and clues to find the scum responsible. The Foot doesn't know the Turtles exist. However the Turtles don't know much about the world topside. Which is where April would come in. This game won't have any Mutanimals, and for the most part the enemies will be the Foot Clan. If we get around to making April the 5th Turtle and taking down Shredder and the Foot, we may move into other territory like a couple mutants, a single Krang [though the alien race is cool too], and perhaps some form of Baxter Stockman.
Here's an idea of what we'd be looking at facing with the Foot Clan. Soldiers, Shredder, and Generals...
My favorite has always been Raph but I think I'll take Leo for this if there's a few more players out there. If you've got this far in the OP surely you're at least a little interested? LOL...
