Car chase that crashes and leads to a gunfight. The three parties could be a spy, a law enforcement agency, and a bad guy spy.

Spy vs crime syndicate vs policemen, then. Slightly futuristic in tone, so one of my policemen is a cheesy mostly cybornetic guy and the other has a robotic arm, who is the competent one often dealing with his tomfoolery. The looks I have imagined are like Ghost in the Shell and Psycho Pass. Only less bleak. (Well, Ghost in the Shell had some silly moments too).

Two sisters isn't gender diversity. I was planning on my buddy cops being a man and a woman. So our cyborg will be the only guy so far. In this setting, it turns out that the women are the violent and crazy ones by default.

I'm wanting to be the criminals, I guess.

I was thinking maybe the criminals have three people, but the spies and the police have better equipment and more training.

The criminals might have the object that the other two are trying to retrieve?

Yes. Maybe one spy, two agents, and three criminals are all balanced against each other.

There it is.

So, I guess we'll start making plans then. Like the old one.

So, cops, criminals, and spy.

1. Which faction starts off with the object? I was thinking criminals, like they wouldn't quite understand the importance of the object. Maybe the Law would chase after them, and the Spy would set up an ambush and stop the chase in it's tracks, where the gunfight would start.

2. Pulp fiction style? What if it's just a brief case and only the characters know what's in it?

The spy wins and the agents sort of let him slip away due to circumstances.

Chasing after the spy at that point turns into too much trouble.

Maybe if the criminals had epic deaths rather than dark ones. While delivering a clever pun.

Getting shot isn't very epic for criminal dude-men.
I think men are better for funny deaths. Just like

"What are you gonna do, stab me?"
