"What a strange kid..." the young man mumbled to himself, staring at the boy in confusion. "Uh... I can see that," he said cautiously, slowly moving towards the stairs. He thought for a moment as to how he should ask the question. "Well, could you tell me where they are?"

The Gible began trying to explain itself, and it began to look like a game of charades. Emma walked over to get a better look. The small land shark pokemon laid on the ground, pretending to sleep before quickly jumping up on its feet. It started to move its hands near its head before acting as though it had goggles and a scarf. Emma raised an eyebrow at this.
"A ... spiky haired pokemon ranger?" she asked. The Gible then did the two gestures in different spots.
A spiky haired guy and a pokemon ranger gave it a sandwich and it dug its way to this town.
Emma seemed surprised for a split second after realizing who the Gible was probably referring to, but that quickly faded as she went into some deep thought, staring at a candle.

As Leon sat there, staring at the Gible trying to explain itself, he couldn't help but let out a small chuckle at the absurdity of the situation. The world had gone down the drain, everything was overrun by zombies, he was part of a very small group of survivors...and what was he doing about it all? Trying to understand a small Pokemon mimicking something. Oh well, it's the little things in life they say.

When Emma spoke up, Leon was startled. He didn't even notice her coming back, apparently she had been trying to understand the Gible as well, and she was doing a better job at it then him. "A ... spiky haired pokemon ranger?" She asked. How did she understand that much? All Leon was able to decypher was the sleeping part, which was fairly easy. He looked at Emma.

"So...how did you get the whole spiky ranger thing?"

Upon hearing Leon's question, Emma blinked before turning her attention away from the flame. "I've done this before." she said before walking over to the door again. The Gible looked at Leon expectantly, perhaps wanting more food. "Remember, we're leaving first thing in the morning." Emma said. She then walked out and made her way back onto the roof, leaving Leon with the pokemon. On her way up, she thought she heard talking. She stepped onto the flat surface and looked around, narrowing her eyes once her gaze landed on the stranger. "..." For a few seconds, she only gave him a cold stare. After a bit, she asked. "Who are you?"

"Hm?" The young man looked over at the girl, relieved. But the moment was short-lived as he seemingly got unnerved by the stare. "Ah, no one, really. I was passing by when I saw a couple of people up here, so I decided to... well... you know. Come and say hi." He rubbed the back of his head, chuckling lightly. "New company is scarce these days. So... where are you folks headed?"

"..." Emma did not look amused. She took a deep breath through her nose. "Hm, somewhere." she said calmly. She wasn't going to tell this guy a thing, not yet at least. "Are you with anyone?" she asked. She wanted to make sure that he wasn't just a decoy for a group of raiders.

"The virus never got this far, but Litheral Town is almost completely barren." Emma said, looking out over the town that was barely lit by the moonlight. "My best guess would be that once their supply of resources were cut off, the ones who didn't leave eventually died from famine." she said. She closed her eyes and sighed inwardly. She wondered what Professor Pine thought about this, given the old man was still alive. She looked at the stranger again. "Hey, what's your name anyway?" she asked.
