Viviana Corey James "Vivii"

The training for this journey had been six months long, not nearly long enough Vivii had though. They had been given a crash course in things that they knew about Earth and the terrain near where their ship would be landing. They would arrive on day one and establish a small camp. A week later there would a shipment of supplies that included more live animals from Erellon. For now they had given them waterproof canvas tents and small easily erected shelters for the smaller animals they had brought with them on this shuttle.

They had been put to sleep for the duration of the journey that lasted nearly two hundred years even with the more advanced technology that they had. Vivii had stepped into her sleep pod one hundred and eighty-seven years, four months, and six days ago. Her body was slowly beginning to awaken now though as they had presumably landed nearly an hour ago. It took some time for the body and mind to fully reawaken after being in a sleep stasis for such a long time. Her vision was blurry at first and it alarmed her, her heart thrashing in her chest but she could not yet move her body. This was why they had spent so much time getting used to the wake up process as her body was disconnected from the machinery inside the ship. It was a life support system really, keeping them alive while their bodies where no longer being used. Slowly though her vision cleared and she could see some of the animals that had also been in a sleep like state, laying down were awakening as well. They would need careful inspection before they left the ship.

The ship was as pristine as they day they had left Erellon and she almost wondered if they had even left at all. She could wiggle her fingers and toes now and she balled her hands into fists before slowly moving to remove the electrodes and other devices from her body. She pressed the lever to let herself out and looked easily around the ship when she stepped out of the pod into the fresh air. Taking a deep breath her chest ached as she expanded it long past its usually capacity as of recently. She headed to the computer to complete the cognition quiz to make sure she was still sentinent she guessed. She had long since forgotten what they had told her the real reason for the quizzes were. They had to do one every day for the first week to make sure everything was up to par. They had all be selected for their intelligence and if they were not where they should still be they would return home.

She opened up the program on the computer interface that had been designated to be hers and completed the short quiz. It dinged and let her know the date and time in Erellon and on Earth. It was around 10 o'clock in the morning here on Earth. Giving them plenty of time to wake up and get their shelters set up as well as a fire going before they had to go to sleep. The animals would have to be checked over and kept inside the ship for now until they set up the solar powered electric fencing to keep them corralled. For now though she decided to go check on the waking animals and ensure their safety as she woke up. She fingered the necklace around her neck that had been given to her by her elven parents. It was made from a shimmering glowing metal found on Erellon. It was a simple tear drop pendant that had clear stones around the outside and a lovely bright blue stone in the center.

She opened the door and stepped over the short gate into the room with all the animals. They were kept up in stalls; horses, banos, cows, ducks, chickens, and several other kinds of animals. She soon found her own personal pet within the bunch as well as her own personal horses that she had requested. She had easily convinced them that sending a group of horses that did not know her was a bad idea. She bent down to check over some of the goats that had been brought along.

Null

Being Immortal, Null didn't require a stasis pod, and given her medical training and limited piloting ability, it made sense to have someone active aboard. Plus... putting a phoenix into stasis was... problematic and expensive. It was a lonely journey though. Null had reborn more times than she could count, and the dramatic length of the journey oft made her consider taking someone out of stasis... just for a little bit... But the stasis unit was a dangerous machine. They could sometimes be unpredictable if used inappropriately. And she definitely didn't want to be responsible for making one of the crew-mates mentally disabled... So she waited. Mostly passing her time aboard reading up on the planet they were headed towards. She tried to learn alot about the wildlife there, and a little about current probe climate readings, but it was tough... seeing as they spoke in terminology that was outside her realm of scientific knowledge. Even reading contextually, it was a challenge.

She was in her late-teens/young-adult stage when the ship announced Earth was in sight. She was so excited! According to the computer, Saturn and Venus were also in view. It was still two cycles after that when the ship announced landing procedures for the planet. Null buckled in, glowing white hot from anticipation for the ruins below. The landing went smoothly, and Null did her test (100%, yay!), then checked to make sure everyone was going through stasis wind-down for re-immersion into consciousness before opening the aft personnel hatch to enjoy the fresh air...

Earth... was beautiful. The bright ice blue of the sky surprised her, as most artist depictions of the planets surface showed it as more of a straight blue. This was however a far more gorgeous color. It matched very well with the green grass, which also was a surprisingly foreign shade when compared to Erellon's vegetation. Here and there was a tree in the distance, a twisted monument of old age in this very organic feeling tundra. The bright yellow sun was warm and felt lovely on her cytoplasm, and she honestly felt that this... this was the most beautiful place she had ever seen...

Leilu

It took Lielu a good minute to actually open her eyes after she was made aware of her own consciousness. The light was a bit harsh to them so she gave them a moment to adjust. When they adjusted enough to the brightness they hadn't been subjected to since she went into stasis, she open and closed them a few time. Luckily they didn't feel dry so they didn't bother her much. Shortly after her eyes adjusted she gained control over her limbs slowly. Breathing deeply hurt and stung in her lungs for a bit, but her body quickly got used to the amount of air she was breathing in now.

Quickly she got her barrings and her strength enough to get out of her stasis pod. Feeling fresh air hit her lungs felt great and it tasted sort of sweet to her. Leilu took a second to walk in a circle and around a bit to check her strength. After she did her own little check over herself and made sure her body was functioning right, Leilu did a little exercise. A few jumping jacks never hurt anyone, right?

When it was her turn to take her own quiz, she logged on and took her time. She was a bit distracted but even still Leilu aced it. A smiled appeared on her face as she finished and walked toward the outside. First she would have to check on Grigori, her companion she asked for, before venturing around. They had similar instincts, due to their nature, so it wouldn't be hard to find him. After all, she couldn't see the outdoors without Gori.

As she walked over to where he was held Leilu looked at the other animals. Many were just waking up like her fellow crew mates, others were either still out or had been awake long enough to wonder around their stalls. As she walked over to Gori's she saw he was awake and energized, ready to see the outdoors. "Hey bud. Ready to go outside?" she asked as she held her hand out toward him. He looked up and walked over to her hand, nuzzling against it and headbutting it. "I'll take that as a yes." Leilu smiled and laughed a bit. All she had to do was find the animal caretaker and see if Gori was fit to roam around with her. So she turned and looked for her amongst the animals.

Nearly two hundred years. Two hundred years, stuck in a stasis pod. Conscious or not, it was Sam Alkin's worst nightmare. But when she stumbled out of the pod it was not as blissful as she had thought it would be. The air stung her throat, her body felt stiff and unused, and she had to manually opened her eyelids with her hands to get the process going. The cold metal of the stasis pod pressed against her flesh as she leaned against it, and gradually the discomfort encouraged her to push herself off and take a few baby steps away. For a few more minutes she stood uncertainly, blinking wildly at the spinning world before she finally came back to her senses and, with a renewed urge to find something of familiarity, made her way away from the stasis pods and towards people.

She was halfway through the doorway when she remembered the quiz, and with a large amount or trepidation Sam turned back. It wasn't a good sign that she'd forgotten about it, but she'd be damned if she ever made the trip back home, especially so soon. With that thought, she quickly reminded herself that this was her home now. She had to let go of the past, that was the whole point of coming here. To start again. She was pleased to realise that her motor functions were almost returning to normal, and reached the computer with a minimum amount of stumbling. When she was there, she logged on and completed the quiz slowly. The cheery ding of the computer reassured her, and she sighed in relief. No home trip for Sam, not today. 10 o'clock in the morning - good. Plenty of time to get sorted, and scout out the local area for a bit. For a second time, she made her way towards the others.

Though she generally tried to avoid too much interaction with other humanoids, she realised that she would have to communicate to see what was going on. She passed by people who were confused and dazed, searching for somebody who knew what they were doing. A strange blue form caught her eye by the hatch, and triggered a sense of recognition. Her memory was hazy and clouded, but after a minute or two of staring she remembered who it was. The immortal phoenix. Not only were they standing at an open hatch doing something, they had also been awake for the entire journey. She made her way over to the phoenix, and only paused for a second to gawp at the outside. There would be time for that later, and she would be getting used to the view. Hesitantly she coughed, then coughed louder to try to gain her attention.

When she thought she may have succeeded, Sam started talking. Her voice was unnervingly gruff and cracked from lack of use, and it took her several times to form the words she wanted to say. She couldn't help but feel embarrassed, but tried not to draw too much attention to her struggles. Damn, she should have done this before trying to talk to somebody. Finally Sam recovered, and looked up. "Hello... I've just woken up, but you've been awake for this whole time, right? Do you know what's going on. What we're supposed to be doing?" She hesitated and the shade of red that her face had already gone turned redder. She should have remembered all of this, but her memory was letting her down. Two hundred years was a long time. While waiting for a reply, she determined first to locate her animals, and then to explore the land outside; with them, or without. And to help out around the ship, naturally, although it wasn't her main priority.

Daniel Collins

Daniel was out of the stasis pod faster than he'd ever moved previously. He glanced around the ship to find it still in good shape thanks to the phoenix that they'd put on the ship as their medical specialist. He headed for the computer to do his own little cognitive quiz. He passed easily as most of the other seemed to have done. There was something to say about the light that beamed in from the open door next to the computer. He gave a bit of a smirk as he went to find his chibit, he was quite literally one of the only males on the trip. Oh the options, he would have to use his patience though, that much was clear. The only other Lycan on the trip was a female named Viviana. She was pristine, already in the room with the animals checking them over. She was currently smothering Linx with affection as her own pet which looked a bit like a ferret crossed with a lizard. He immediately headed that way as his chibit purred and curled around her making her giggle.

As he moved towards them he realized that she was far prettier than he had initially given her credit for. Medium length dirty blonde hair, tanned skin, a lithe figure, a smattering of freckles across her angelic features, she was a winner for sure. Nothing like the females in his own pack who were overly tall and athletic looking. Viviana almost looked as if she was crossed with an elf but he could tell from her scent she was all wolf. She turned easily to look at him, still smiling from her interactions with the chibit still in her arms. When Linx spotted him he flapped his wings eagerly and she allowed him to fly to Daniel.

"Looks like you're up and going. Nice to see both of you awake." He nodded at the other female, a shapeshifter. He wasn't generally very fond of shapeshifters, especially ones who could take on a wolf form. For this event though he would give in a bit and be friendlier than he would have been otherwise. They were in this together after all, no reason to start any crap when they were stuck on a whole planet alone together.

Emmaline Blakeley

This was it, Emma thought as the room sharpened into focus. They'd arrived. Two hundred years... She could barely believe it. As her body awakened, so did mixed emotions. Her old life on Erellon was over, but this was the new beginning she'd wanted. This opportunity had been too good to pass up.

She stretched her stiff limbs, removing the electrodes once she could move her fingers enough to do so. Wait... What was that? She looked at her hands and cringed. There was still a faint green tinge to her skin, a reminder of a failed potion. Not permanent, she reminded herself. The colour had faded considerably during the two weeks since the mishap, not a vivid apple shade any more, and she no longer glowed in the dark. The remainder of the effect had simply been frozen in stasis. It would fade over the next few days, and she'd be well-camouflaged among Earth's foliage while tracking, at least.

How had she even got that potion so wrong, anyway? Ok, so it was one of the more advanced energy potions, meant to help her study far longer than usual during training, but the basic ones she'd mastered were easy enough. No more extra-strength energy potions for her. In fact, even correctly brewed ones that wouldn't turn her fluorescent green were a bad idea. As well as the unwanted side effect, this one had also had the desired primary effect, which had turned out not to be such a good thing for someone as vivacious as her. She hoped nobody would mention the incident with all those grasshoppers. It had nearly got her kicked off the mission.

As she completed the quiz at the computer, the cries of waking animals from another room caught her attention. She turned her head. Squeals, chirps and grunts, murmurs of confusion, growing louder. Her own chibit, the animal she had the strongest bond with, called for her. Maia's disoriented thoughts brushed at Emma's consciousness.

"Maia?" Emma rushed towards the animal room. "It's ok, Maia, I'm awake. We're here!" As she bounded in, she noticed a few other people had already woken up. "Heyyyyy anyone else ready?" she asked, an excited grin plastered all over her face, before promptly falling over. Maybe she shouldn't have tried to run right after having come out of stasis.

She sat up, looking into a pair of green eyes. The chibit staggered towards her, squeaking her distress at the difficulty of her movements. "Hey, it's alright," Emma soothed, stroking Maia on the head. "It'll pass." She smiled as Maia started purring and fluttered somewhat unsteadily onto her shoulder. "Want to see what Earth is like?" Maia gave an enthusiastic chirrup, just as eager to explore as Emma was.

Leilu

Leilu peered up for a moment at the excited girl. When she fell she gave a slight chuckle but looked around the stall to see if she was alright. Seeing she was Leilu gave a smile and looked back at Gori. "Looks like we aren't the only ones eager to get out there." Leilu srcatched behind Gori's ear making him lick her arm. "Haha, want to go say hi?" She asked playfully then knelt down watched as he got his barrings.

At first he was wobbly and his back legs gave out from under him but he didnt give up. Leilu encouraged him and made sure if he fell again, he wouldn't hut anything. "Come on boy. You got this. Shake it off." she said softly. Gori stretched out his wings and let out a lazy yawn. He finally walked got his ballance and lost the stiffness in his muscles. "That a boy! haha," Leilu smiled and pat his side in pleased joy.

Before Leilu could stand up, he tried to beat his tired wings, "Whoa, whoa. Let's wait for that until we're outside. Not enough space in her for that and don't want to cause a commotion." she eased him to stop then stood. "Good. Now let's go say hi."

Leilu nodded and walked over to the stall the girl was in, halting Gori when she saw the other animals. He stopped and sat next to her, headbutting her hand and licking it. "You're quite energetic for just getting out of stasis." She smiled and gave a slight chuckle. "When you are ready, we're quite eager to explore too." Leilu scratched the partial wolf behind his ear again and offer the girl her hand.
