The darts struck Jenso one after another, pushing him back, bruising his flesh, and cutting into his arms and torso like little knives when they weren't stopped by his stance. The archer ignored his comments and fired a grey stream of energy at him this time, one that vibrated erratically as it flew through the air.

Jenso glared at the man as he fired at him. 'I'm not gonna give up..!' Jenso thought, trying to dash out of the way of the incoming blast. He dashed towards the man again as flames surrounded his fists. He aimed a punch at the man's stomach with his left fist.

Jenso dodged, but as he moved away from the impact zone, the arrow exploded behind him with tremendous force and sent huge chunks of rocks flying in every direction. The Archer backed away from Jenso effortlessly and fired another white ki arrow at his body, honed to a razor's edge.

Jenso's eyes widened as he tried to jump out of the way of the white ki arrow. The flames around his hands dispersed as he backed away from Dacer and crossed his arms in front of his chest. He got a sturdy stance as a huge chunk of rock flew at him, and held his head low. A surge of power rushed through him as he braced for the impact of the incoming rock, digging his feet a bit into the dirt below him in hopes to avoid being knocked away.

The archer was quick to react, firing yet another grey arrow at the chunk of rock heading for Jenso, which exploded on impact and sent even smaller, but far sharper and fast shards of rocks at Jenso, aided by the propulsion of the explosion.

Jenso dashed towards another big chunk of rock that had bursted out of the ground and tried to move behind it. A surge of power rushed through him as he tried to raise the rock and use it as a shield against the incoming shards of rocks. He dashed forwards while holding it and threw it at Dacer. He dashed after it soon after, hoping Dacer would shoot another grey arrow at it. He remained close by, but far enough to avoid getting in range of the possible incoming explosion while prepared to dodge the shards of rock that might come his way. He hoped said explosion would create enough smoke to obscure the archer's vision on his location.

Dacer hopped off the ground like a kangaroo and landed on the rock gently, taking note of Jenso's approach with ease. He bounced again and landed in front of Jenso, surprisingly, and swung his bow at the boy within melee range.

"Hahaha... Look at the little idiots fight," The woman said, inaudible this time. "That little golden boy doesn't stand a chance again a Gaian. What a laugh! It'll be a shame if Dacer kills him though... Mmm, maybe I'll have a little fun with him once his limbs no longer work, ahohoho... Ahem.. Dacer dear, would you please hurry this up?"

Jenso glared at Dacer. 'Damn, at this rate..' He thought. Jenso had several injuries all over his body, and the battle was exhausting him. And on top of that, Dacer didn't seem to be getting exhausted at all. 'I can't give up...if I lose, this witch will keep controlling Lark's son and I'll die!' He thought. A surge of power rushed through him as he attempted to catch Dacer's bow with his left and keep it stuck in a tight grip, followed up with a quick punch with his right hand at his stomach.

Dacer's bow struck hard against Jenso's fist, and a whipping of severe winds thrashed against his body. If he'd let that bow swing go all the way though, he would've been tossed right off of the mountain. But the winds stopped and Dacer's mouth hung open in surprise. He let go of the bow and narrowly dodged Jenso fist, but it grazed his right side and hit one of his ribs. Dacer spun around to lessen the impact, 360 degrees, and re-summoned his bow, making it disappear from Jenso's grip. He then aimed for a killing blow with intense dexterity. The movements were all so fluid, they had technique that outclassed Jenso's by years. Dacer's bow crackled with yellow energy and he fired a single electrical shot at Jenso, point-blank.

Jenso attempted to move out of the way and dash past the electrical bolt. He didn't want to give Dacer much time to react and didn't move too far, using his arms to shield his chest area from any sparks that might get to him. He aimed a kick at Dacer's right knee with his left foot. He didn't enjoy fighting Dacer, but he needed to knock some sense into him. At this point, it was win or die.

Jenso's body was immediately overcome by a shocking sensation. There was no way he was going to out speed Dacer's electrical arrow, and his attempt to do so was punished by a stunning electrical pulse through his entire body that overwhelmed his muscle control. Dacer walked over to him and pulled back on a white arrow, aimed right for his head. This was the end...

~ Chapter 36 ~

Tiger's Fury


"No, no! Disable him!"

Dacer's eyes flickered purple, and he moved his aim towards Jenso's leg, unleashing a thin bolt of energy right through his kneecap. It left a thin hole that left Jenso's right leg completely crippled. Dacer pulled back on his bow again, and aimed for Jenso's other leg, when something froze him. He looked back, to see a green paw reach over the edge. This gave Jenso's body enough time to recover, but without the use of one leg, evasion would prove even more difficult.

Jenso quietly got on one knee, and channeled fire in his hands. He tried to shape his fire into a fireball and launch it at Dacer's stomach. '...This might be the end..but I won't give up!' He thought, preparing to make his final stand. His leg might have been paralysed, but he had no intention to lose. The attack would take a lot out of him, but he had to try.

The green paw pulled a massive green tiger with black stripes over the ledge. It sped towards Dacer at lighting speed and tackled him to the ground in an instant. Jenso's attempted fire-ball launch resulted in a short range spew of flames that dissipated almost immediately, but now Dacer was pinned, and his bow disappeared.

"NO! WHAT IS THAT WRETCHED BEAST?!" The woman's voice shouted, clearly audible from around the mountain. She'd given away her position, but she was clearly not accessible without scaling the mountain side.

Jenso looked at the creature in surprise, and then turned to the mountain side where the woman was. Dacer could handle himself, he was a Ki-user after all. He needed to end this once and for all. He crawled over to a nearby, long piece of rock and used it to support himself to keep standing. He began to make his way up the mountain side, albeit slower due to his injury. 'Gotta get to her...' He thought.

Dacer and the tiger continued to tangle while Jenso inched away unnoticed, but with only one leg, the trek took much longer than he'd anticipated. Eventually though, he found his way into the entrance of a cavern.

"No, no! Stupid beast! Get the hell off of-" The woman's voice echoed, and he silhouette was revealed. She was slender, chiseled after the form of a goddess, and wore a long purple dress that revealed one of her legs, and the entirety of her arms. One of her arms was covered in a small bandage that obscured her forearm. She spun around to see him, and he long purple hair flourished in the darkness. Her eyes glowed a deep purple, but her entire face was covered by a... Black mask. All except for her mouth, which was barely visible through a slit that hugged her lips. "O-ho-ho!" She laughed, walking towards Jenso, "If it isn't the golden boy.."

Jenso glared at the woman as he headed for her. The pain in his leg made it difficult for him to walk, but the anger began to overpower his pain somewhat. Her black mask reminded him of Prisma, which only made him more angry. "You're the woman who killed everyone in Lark's village, aren't you?" He asked, and got in a combat stance. "I'm gonna kick your ass!" He shouted. It would be difficult to win with only one leg, but he needed to try.

The woman smiled and pressed one hand to her chin, while clutching its shoulder with the other. She chuckled out loud and shook her head. "Kick my ass? Oh what a tantalizing thought!" She mocked, spreading her arms out wide, "But I'm afraid you're quite incapable at the moment, golden boy. Ripe for the picking, I might add, ahoho. Helpless like a puppy!" She began stepping towards him slowly with audible clacks as he heels struck stone. "Are you perhaps, lost? Why would you even expose yourself to the jimminy or the jewmo or whatever the hell those blasted idiots are calling my little pets... Oh! Are you maybe here to..." She paused and looked him directly in the eyes. What happened next might have shocked Jenso to no end. "See the elementals?" She spoke, but her voice suddenly shifted. She sounded identical to Pharie's.

Jenso clenched his fist as the woman spoke, staring in shock and anger. "You...that message to go see the elementals came from you? But why? Why did you bother luring me here?" He asked, glaring at her. He was unsure what to do now. He wanted to save Dacer from the strange woman's control, but it appeared that she wore a mask similar to Prisma. It meant she had to be pretty strong, and he was injured too. 'Darn...what do I do...' He thought. He could try to attack, but did he have a chance to win? He didn't like the thought, but perhaps he would need to flee. He glared at the ground now, trying to think of what to do.
