The average member of the Hive wouldn't know, but I imagine the important people would at least be aware of how formidable they are. Plus they're not entirely insular; they have a fair bit of contact with the word through their port and I've been imagining them as having an entire caste who serve as spies and assassins.

I'm actually really glad you touched on the forge priests. The post I have in mind after the one I'm working on now deals with them heavily and is also going to be a major plot-mover for the Salished. I'd like your input on this priestly caste at some point, so I'll be checking the pad every now and then.

Going to be gone all weekend so I'm trying to get this post out the door by Friday evening.

@TheSovereignGrave you asked yesterday what people would call the denizens of the union who were not drathans. I was rereading some of the early posts and it looks like I used the term Ashlanders.

@Flagg That just confuses things even more. XD That just sounds like a term for anybody who lives in the Ashlands, which would include the myriad tribes and even (technically) the Singing Hive.
