Wolf relaxed a little, a couple tears running down her cheek.

Kid and the girls were riding around when he pulled out a small mirror and called his father. Wolf being gone this long couldn't be normal

When he was dialing his phone went off and he pulled his phone out, stopping his skateboard and seeing it was Wolf's number. He answered and said "Wolf? Where are you? Are you alright? I've been trying to find you for two hours now"

"Kid, it's me, Rex," he said calmly. "I can explain. Wolf and I were paired together, and I used some of her powers to blow away a Kishin. We're at Stein's now, and he says there was some sort of a rebound-- when I used her powers, I also gave her my abilities, and dark and holy energy don't always mix. If you can, head out to Professor Stein's place, okay?"

Soon there was a knock on the door, Kid standing outside with Patty and Liz. THe girls looked at him and Liz said "I don't think I've ever seen you this worked up Kid..." HE didn't answer, waiting for the door to open.

Kid moved inside and right to his sister's side. He looked at Stein and said "Explain how this happened? I want all the details from both of you" HE looked at Rex, anger in his eyes. Liz rested a hand on his shoulder and said "Kid relax. She's not dead. Well, not that kind of dead. Just let them explain before you go all death on them, alright?" Patty walked over to the couch and looked at Wolf. "She doesn't look to good..."

Rex explained everything: being paired by Lord Death, their first mission, meeting the warlock and the Kishin, and ending with coming to Stein's place. "Stein believes it's some kind of rebound," finished Rex. "When I used Wolf's Death energy, there was a void, and my Holy energy took its place. I don't wanna hurt her again. I've already lost one partner..." His mind had flashbacks to the Paris Incident: eating croissants at a cafe, waiting in Notre Dame for the Kishin, killing it, and Sora...
Rex shoved the memories back into their dark cage. "I'm putting in a request to your father, to make sure that this never happens again."

Kid nodded then suddenly a weak voice said "Don't...you...dare...Rex or...I will kill you myself..." Wolf open her eyes slightly and Kid turned to look at her. "Sis" She held up her hand, flinching as she did. "I don't care what happens...me and Rex were close to taking out a Warlock in the first fight...and that kishen didn't stand a chance...if dad needs strong teams like us to end this war...then that's what we are going to do..." She flinched again and said "I will figure a way out so this doesn't happen again...I'm sure Stein and Spirit can help me..."

Kid shook his head and said "Not likely once Father finds out about this...we will need to tell him, Wolf" Wolf nodded and tried to sit up, Liz moving over to help her with Rex. Wolf cursed and looked over at Stein. "Did my blood work come up with anything?"
