Support? Fuck that. My characters don't stay in the back. And my druid would not be played as you think. Nor would the animal companion.

We do need an up front damage dealer like a Fighter, Monk, or Barbarian

Nothing wrong with a Strong druid and their animal companion as front line fighters with something like a bear or wolf for flank and trips a plenty.

THere is a variant of ranger that gives you druids wild shape and barbarians fast movement. IF GM approves.

For the DM's sake I am not pulling rules from the expanded books and using variants. I am keeping my build simpler and more confined to the PHB material. I remember what DMing for the first time is like and not forcing him too look up ten different references is the least I can do while he learns the ropes.

As for my character. Even if I make a druid. Wolves and dogs are boring companions. Too expected and overdone. Rather take a viper or something cool Like a large bat.

I gave up making characters based on combat effectiveness and min maxing a long time ago. I'd rather make some thing cool and entertaining.

@knighthawk It just occurred to me, but it might be best to put the feats/class features you gained from your class under you feats section. In your case these are Aura of Good, Detect Evil (at-will), and Smite Evil 1/day.

Just a thought

We're still waiting on @LordofthePies to fine tune his character. So whenever you are done, we should be almost ready.

I assume we are limiting ourselves to PHB, Dungeon masters guide and PHB 2? Im not complaining I just want to be sure what I can draw from for things like feats.

Dunno. I didn't even know there was a second PHB. I might be missing out on some really good feats.

ya, generally the 'core' 3.5 game. is just referring to information and options presented in those three books in an effort to keep things simple.

PHB2 offers some neat class variants, not huge things just minor cool things. A couple new classes and feats.

Curiosity compels me to ask about the classes in that book. If I was a cat, I would be dead.

@Ollumhammersong Just to say, Joos doesn't want us to begin with armor or weapons for plot reasons.
