It was in Assault Horizon Legacy, which was a remake on the 3DS of Ace Combat 2 and is thus now considered canon, so you can get it.
My end goal is probably going to be something with two seats, or two planes that compliment each other well. A pair of F-2's would certainly be interesting.

EDIT: Apparently the PAK FA, at least in Assault Horizon Legacy, is considered some sort of superweapon fighter;
Despite the availability of the ADF-01 FALKEN and XFA-27, the PAK FA is still on par with the superplanes for raw performance. While not as agile as the XFA-27 or fast as the FALKEN, it is a very strong all-rounder, and considerably cheaper to purchase at 162,000 credits. Its weapons include Multi-Purpose Missiles, XSAA and Omnidirectional Multi-Purpose Missiles.
