The TARDIS was spinning out of control and the Doctor was trying desperately to get it back on track, he didn't know what was going on. "What's going on, hey..?" he seemed to be trying to talk to his ship while frantically flick switches, He wasn't sure what had even thrown the TARDIS off track, he had just come to earth for a visit to check if things were all normal and the TARDIS had started losing control. The Doctor knew he could normally fly the TARDIS properly, so it wasn't anything to do with him, at least he didn't think it was. He still was trying his best to keep his ship from crashing.

Though he realized the ship was getting closer and closer to crashing, as the TARDIS crashed into the ground the Doctor was thrown off his feet and he hit the console rather hard and blacked out. He was out for a few hours before he woke and seemed rather confused, where was he and who was he? He realized he was in some kind of ship. Had he been captured and knocked out? He knew his head was hurting rather badly and he didn't know what he was doing. Not feeling like he knew anything, he made his way for the door of the ship and opened the door and was holding his head.

He almost jumped backwards from shock when he realized the ship was bigger on the inside than it was on the out. Normally that would make sense to him, but right now it didn't. Was he the alien? He wobbled a bit, not steady on his feet, really he should be resting after a knock like that but he didn't know the TARDIS was his home, so he walked around London clueless and not knowing where he he should go.

In a large building full of chatter from workers on phones, Samantha gratefully hung up her call. It was sometime in the afternoon and at least an hour after she had stopped taking calls. She quickly entered the necessary information to sign off and stood, stretching. She smiled and waved back as someone passed by, picking up her bag and a few folders she needed to go over later today. She picked up her phone, reading her messages as she walked to the elevator and then outside the building. She walked to a familiar coffee shop and ate a late lunch, pondering what she was going to do with the rest of her day, probably read the folders.

After she left she made a few finger presses then held her phone to her ear, waiting for the person on the other end to pick up so she could cancel an appointment. A few minutes after the phone picked up she nodded, fully knowing the person on the other end couldn't see and responded with another date she would be able to make, finding a open space. Samantha thanked them, hanging up the phone and pocketing it.

As she looked up she nearly ran headfirst into a man, before quickly taking a step back, "Oh! I'm sorry, not paying enough attention to my surroundings." She said apologetically. After a moment she recognized him, having had a run-in with him last year due to aliens in her work building. "Wait, you're The Doctor, I met you last year. Are you alright, are you looking for someone?" She asked, taking in his slightly lost expression and looking around for anything out of the ordinary.

The Doctor looked at her confused "Doctor?" Was he some kind of Doctor? He had met her? he didn't seem to remember and he looked rather confused, he was looking around still but his hand went to his head. Thinking when he didn't know things was hurting his already sore head. "Ah we did?" he frowned. He wondered how many other things he didn't remember. If he couldn't remember who he was and who he had met, did that mean he had forgotten his entire life.
He had woken up with no clue of anything really, he was looking even more confused.

"Looking for somebody? I'm not sure, I woke up not remembering anything, and my head hurting, I think I must have been knocked out somehow, I was in some strange ship, Maybe I was kidnapped." It was strange for the Doctor to even be so clueless. He knew he had a damn awful headache and he felt dizzy and fell over. It was clear that he had a concussion of some sort as well as memory loss. The crash had been rather rough on him.

"What is your name?" Though she had told him when they last met, he had no idea who she was. He closed his eyes hoping the dizziness would pass, he was sure he shouldn't be walking around too much right now. He felt rather lost though, he was looking at the sky and then back at her. He found his sonic screwdriver in his pocket and frowned in confusion.

Samantha frowned at the Doctor's confusion over his name, nodding, "Yes, The Doctor. That's your name." She sounded worried and looked up at his hand. It was more likely at this point it wasn't there from frustration but pain. She nodded again when he seemed confused about their meeting, "Yes, last year. You don't remember?" She exhaled slowly. Well, at least she had something to do today.

"Kidna- whoa, whoa, whoa, you alright?" She asked as he fell, kneeling down beside him. She put her folders on the ground and tried to steady him, "Sit, let me see your head." She gently pulled at his fingers, trying to see where he was holding his head. "You've probably got a concussion, I could..well no actually that won't work." She seemed be talking partly to herself as she considered how to help him. "Do you hurt anywhere else?"

"I'm Samantha," she said as she eyed the screwdriver he looked at with confusion, "and that is your sonic screwdriver." She looked around, pursing her lips. She started mouthing words, deciding getting him somewhere safe would be a good idea, but not a hospital. Should probably also find the alien ship, they could deal with it when the Doctor wasn't extremely lost. "The spaceship, roughly which direction is it?" She asked, making a mental note of where they were so it could be found later.

The Doctor was looking at her "Doctor? seems like an odd name?" he still seemed rather confused. He didn't seem to think that was a name "Shouldn't I be Doctor somebody if that is my name." He found it odd if there was no more to his name. He had such a headache and was maybe thinking he should lay down.
"We did? I don't remember... I don't seem to remember anything." he looked sad. She seemed like a nice person as well. He didn't even know who he was.

He sits there letting her see his head, he seems to have a nasty bump where he hit his head. He could hear her muttering, He was rather lost and confused still, he wished he knew what had happened "Concussion..... no wonder my head hurts." He sighed. He wondered how hard he had even hit his head. It must have been rather hard. He closed his eyes for a moment. He was shaking and held his head more, he was dizzy and seemed to be muttering to himself. He looked rather tired and he felt sick. He assumed it was because of the concussion. He wanted to be back to himself. He felt empty and like a nobody.

"Ship... next street over, Blue b..box," He was hoping he wouldn't faint again. He was a bit shaken up from all that had happened. He closed his eyes more. "I want to sleep."
He was breathing heavily and feeling very confused. "Don't know where my home is."

Samantha smiled slightly, amused at his confusion which she had experienced when she had first heard his name. "Yeah, it's just The Doctor. Kinda odd but that's apparently it," she said as she found the raised bump on his head. "You might be experiencing amnesia or something," she said, dropping her had into her lap frowning at his head, "it's okay, your memory might come back. It should come back. I think." She sounded almost resigned and definitely out of her element. "Sorry, I'm sure it will get better."

Samantha nodded when he said where the ship was, "Blue box, okay," she said, before continuing in a tone of slight urgency, "Hey, hey, you can't go to sleep. You have a concussion, I don't think your supposed to sleep." She gently shook one of his arms, hoping he wouldn't go to sleep. She was fairly sure she had read you shouldn't let someone who just got hit on the head go to sleep, and she didn't have a whole lot else to base her actions on. "I don't know where your home is either, so I can't take you there," she said, sounding apologetic. "We should maybe ice your head for the swelling. Uhh..I could take you to my house? Do you trust me for that?" She asked, not sure what else she could do if he didn't. He was an alien, she knew that much and was concerned the hospital could be a death sentence or worse.

The Doctor looked at he, it was odd that he would be so confused about his name, but it did feel right. "It feels right though." He said. He knew even if it was odd that it was his name. He wondered if she was unsure about his memory, It seemed that way from the way she speaking. He really hoped that his memories would come back, the empty feeling he had was horrible.
"Ah I hope so, I hate feeling empty and unsure of who I am," he hoped that he was a good person. He just held his aching head. He was shivering still as well and pulled his coat around.

The Doctor nodded "Blue police box," He added. He groaned when she said he couldn't sleep "I feel terrible... at least need to lay down when get somewhere, " he wasn't sure he could sit upright or stand too much longer. "Wish somebody around knew me enough to know where my home is, Hate that I forgot that, can't wander around till I get my memory back, But are you sure I could stay at your place." He didn't seem to want to be burden on her. He closed his eyes. "I hope its aright if I do." He didn't know hospital was a bad idea now, since he didn't remember what he was.

Samantha smiled when The doctor said the name felt right. It somehow made her think he would start getting things back. She nodded sympathetically at his words about feeling empty, wishing she could be surer in her reassurance his memory would come back. "Cold?" She asked as he shivered. He clarified the ship was a police box to her confusion. Police boxs hardly sounded alien and hardly sounded large enough. She supposed she'd find out for herself eventually.

Samantha felt sorry he couldn't sleep, knowing well enough the allure of unconsciousness when in pain. "Yeah, laying down is probably a good idea. And of course you can stay, there's plenty of space," she said in an agreeing tone. She really didn't mind a house guest - even an injured one - who might be staying a few days. "Here, let's go," she said, sliding the folders into her bag, and then helping The Doctor up. "I'll try to keep you steady, okay Doctor?" She asked, making herself available to lean on.

Samantha's flat was thankfully not far away, and it didn't take too long to arive. She quickly unlocked the door to let them into a clean, if somewhat disorganized looking living room. "Home sweet home. Here, let's get you to the sofa. I'll get you some ice for your head," she said, closing the door and leading him to her sofa. The TV was on, tuned to some news channel currently talking about the weather for the next few days. She walked through a door way to the kitchen and started to pull together something to ice his head with while asking, "are you okay? Head getting better, or worse?"

The Doctor was glad at least that he knew his name, it could be rather awful if he didn't know his name. It still didn't really ease much of the empty feeling he had. He wished he knew how to make that go away. He hoped he would remember things once his head didn't hurt as much. He really did want to sleep. But he was sure Samantha wouldn't let him, he really hated been so tired and not meant to go to sleep.
"Yeah I am a bit, Least have a coat I suppose" He said, he pulled it around himself more tightly.

He knew the idea of a police box spaceship would be weird to her, it was to him right now, But it was what he saw. He rubbed his head, he really did want to sleep, he was exhausted and hoped that he would be ok to rest soon. He was dizzy and felt rather miserable. He had no idea how he was going to stay awake. He was very exhausted and wanted to sleep.
"UGh so tired," He was glad at least he was going to be able to lay down. He followed her and was trying his best to stay up right.

The Doctor was glad when he was at her flat, he lay down on the couch and noticed the tv was on. He was glad for the icepack on his head, It seemed to ease the pain and made him more relaxed.
"Yeah its helping. " he whispered. He was so very tired and shivered a bit. He groaned "Still feel bit sick, But sure I'll be fine, sure thats just part of it yeah?" He normally wpuld know, but it was like that knowledge was wiped.

Samantha nodded, taking in what he told her after she handed him the towel wrapped bag of ice and water, "well, better is good. I'm not exactly sure though, but I can probably find out." She stood with a huff of breath, muttering to herself, "Cold, blanket...water, bowl? I need to look this stuff up," as she walked off, bringing back a blanket she gently laid over him then checking him for a fever, concerned about his chills, but not finding it hot. She nodded to herself before walking off again, bringing back a glass of water, "here, you should probably drink something. Not too much too fast. I'm going to see what I can find out about head injuries. Do you want anything else right now?" She asked.

After making sure The Doctor was taken care of, Samantha sat at a chair in a corner, pulling up a web browser and beginning her brief research on concussions, memory loss and sleep. The TV had been left on and very quietly reported more kiddnappings very similar to several other recent ones. According to the reporter none of them have been sighted yet. "Doctor? How long ago had you hit your head before I found you? Do you know, or can you estimate?" She asked, scanning another page for information other than symptoms and instructions to go to the hospital or care afterwards. So far she was sure it was a concussion, the memory loss from the head wound was very unlikely - she kept her mind open to the idea another alien was behind this particular problem - but possible, and sleep was probably okay. Even the chills could be explained by head injury.

Samantha got up, walking over to the couch and kneeling nearby with a smile. "Well, I'm basing this all on human biology, and I'm not sure how different your race is, but I think you can go to sleep. I'm going to check with you every hour or two to make sure you're not getting worse. When I do I'll ask a few questions, like my name, your name, where we are. I'll need you to answer them, then you can go back to sleep. Alright, Doctor?" She explained, making sure she wasn't talking too quickly as she informed him. She checked his head and pulled off the ice pack, "sorry, you shouldn't ice it for very long at a time," she said before asking, "do you want anything before you go to sleep?"

The Doctor wasn't too concerned by the fact he was cold. He just thought it was perhaps a cold day, or that his body was in shock from everything that happened. He lay there and nodded, He was glad for the blanket and lay there looking rather worn out.
"Yeah is good, sure I'll feel better soon." He knew that it was rather horrible to lay there feeling miserable. He hoped that it would all go away soon. He just wanted to go back to being his normal self, what ever that was.

He briefly caught sight of what was showing on the TV. It sparked his interest for some reason. But his head hurt too much to focus on it. He didn't know why such a thing would catch his attention. "Mmm today I think, I mean I don't know how long I was passed out, Can't have been long though." He seemed to have a feeling it hadn't been that long. But he yawned. He didn't seem to want to talk much. He wanted to rest.
He curled up in the blanket and mumbled to himself. He was starting to dose off. He hadn't really heard the rest of what she was saying. He didn't even know he wasn't human at this point. The tired time lord was soon asleep.

When he awoke later on he was looking around. He had woken a few of the times she had come to check on him. BUt he had mostly refused to wake due to exhaustion. He felt a little better for having got some sleep.
While he was asleep he had dreamed of his home planet. It seemed to have been some memory that had sparked "Gallifrey." He mumbled. He was trying to make sure that hadn't just been some crazy dream.

The TV spoke several minutes on the kidnappings while Samantha researched, elaborating on the number of related kidnappings and also the circumstances. Samantha nodded, humming when The Doctor said roughly when he thought he had been hit. When he was half asleep barely after she had finished saying he could sleep, she really couldn't blame him. He wanted to sleep, needed to sleep and was just given the chance to. She would have likely done the same. Over the next five or six hours she woke him a few times, insisting he wake up enough to answer a question before letting him right back to sleep. She didn't need him awake for long, but she did need him awake.

Samantha looked over the folders from her work, dealing with loose ends from a recent job change within the company. When he began to wake up on his own she looked up from the folders, waving with a smile, "Good evening, feeling better?" She asked, "You got several hours of sleep." She stood up, walking over to the couch and sitting on the armrest near his feet. "Remembering anything? Oh, uh..there's food if you feel like eating," she said, gesturing to the kitchen and the source of what smells like Alfredo sauce and pasta. She didn't know if aliens ate or if they ate human food but she figured if he was hungry he probably did eat and she didn't exactly have anything but human food.

The Doctor was trying to wake up fully, he felt rather drained but his head was slowly hurting less. "Ah a little bit, and slowly remembering things, I had a dream about a planet called Gallifrey.... I remembered that was my home," he was frowning a bit as he tried to remember more. He wasn't sure what had happened to it. He rubbed his eyes and was curled up in his blankets, now that the pain had eased down it was a bit easier to think. He hoped that the pain would fully go away soon. He was a bit lost on why he was from another planet and was trying to remember what he was.
He was still interested by the news, he wasn't sure it was something he would investigate. He didn't know enough about who he was to know what he was doing. But if he did have his memories it was something he would look into.

He looked towards the kitchen, his stomach growled when he got the smell of food, at least the nausea had gone and he was hungry again. He was sure the worst of his concussion was over, he had really needed that sleep. "Ah food would be good thanks." He attempted to get up but he was still a bit wobbly. That was a bit annoying. He smiled a bit and looked at her . "Would it be any trouble if you got some for me? Don't think I'm quite balanced enough now." He was sitting back down and grinned. He looked rather handsome with that grin on his face too as well.
He was trying to remember other things, he was sure he remembered a few other things.

Samantha sat on the armrest, nodding when The Doctor said he felt a little better. "Good, I'm glad to hear that," she said with a smile, "you're getting memories back too even if it's just a few at a time, that's a good thing." From what she recalled of her brief research this meant he was getting better rather than worse, which was a great relief to her. If he had gotten worse she would have been at a lose as to what she should do. "How about the chills? Still feel cold?" She asked, gesturing at the blankets. The news had finished the information on the weather and was covering the kidnappings again, noting the repeated lack of information from the kidnappers who hadn't demanded anything or even said they wouldn't bargain for the return of the persons.

"Whoa, whoa, you alright?" Samantha asked in concern, standing up and holding The Doctor's arm, trying to steady him after he attempted to stand. She gently lowered him to the couch and after he sat down she returned his grin and said, "not at all, just stay here." She walked into the kitched, grabbing a bowl and filling it with the pasta. She pulled a fork from a drawer and walked back, handing it to The Doctor.

Samantha sat down on one end of the couch with a hum. "Well," she began, thinking out loud, "it's late, you're still dizzy so looking for the spaceship probably isn't a good idea right now." She continued, gesturing as she spoke, "you're welcome to stay overnight by the way. I guess we could see if something will trigger more memories of yours, or discuss what you want to do tomorrow. If you're feeling up to it by then we could check out the spaceship." She made a gesture of uncertainty, saying "I guess it kinda depends on how you're feeling. We'll figure it out." She hummed again, leaning back on her couch to stare at the ceiling, hands pressed together and tapping her chin.

"Yeah I am glad that I am getting better," The Doctor replied. He lay where he was knowing was too weak to do too much yet. He was glad at least the pain wasn't as bad, He wasn't sure what he would do till he was able to get up again.
He was getting bored of laying around. He also kept been more and more interested by the stuff on news.

"A little cold still," The Doctor replied. He was curled up in his blankets. He was still wondering about the news, He wasn't sure why it was grasping his interest so much. He tried to stay as focused as he could. He wanted to try and remember as much as he could. He was curled up in his blankets. "Ah still so weak." He replied. He knew that he was still to dizzy to get up and do much.
"Thanks ," He takes his bowl of food and begins eating. He was glad to be able to eat at least. He had been worried he would not want to. He was looking at her. He just wished he remembered her more.

"Yeah I am too dizzy to do much and still sleepy." He eats more of his pasta and is thinking. "Are you sure though." He still didn't want to be too much trouble for her. "Mmm and yeah I would like to remember more." He smiled "Yeah I am sure I will be more better tomorrow."
He smiled and finished eating.

Samantha quietly said it was fine as she handed The Doctor his food, smiling easily. When he asked if she was sure he could stay she sat up slightly with a small frown, "of course," she said immediately before smiling, "you might not remember it yet but you really helped me about a year ago, it's really not a bother," she continued in an - or certainly she hoped it was - assuring and relaxed tone. She didn't mind in the least and was enjoying entertaining the idea of having a friend around for a while as she rarely had people around these days. She was mostly fine, reading too many books but occasionally the quite would get creepy, thus her always leaving the TV on or playing music if the news was annoying her.

"Still cold?" She asked after a little bit, "I can get you another blanket if you like. There's also more food if you're still hungry." Samantha offered, gesturing vaguely at the kitchen area. "Or if you're tired I can let you sleep, I don't think I'll need to wake you up to check up on you since you didn't get worse." She trailed off slightly before speaking up a little, gesturing at the TV that he had been paying some attention to, "you can turn it off if it's bothering you, or change the channel."

The Doctor was looking at her, he was glad that everything was fine. He was calm at least. "Thank you." He wished that he could remember more though, It was horrible to not remember. "I wish I could remember helping you."
He didn't seem to be able to remember that yet. He was still very confused even if he was starting to remember more. He wasn't sure if she was used to helping people or not. He was rather relaxed.

"Yeah a bit . I suppose." he was curled up in his blankets. He was finished his food and he closed his eyes. "Another blanket would be good, But I think I had enough food for now, I just want to sleep more so."
he was looking towards the TV "oh its not bothering me, I am interested by it. " He was starting to fall asleep. He made sure the blankets were tucked right around him/ He knew sleep was going to make him feel better, he hoped it would help his memory more.

Samantha stood, taking the bowl from his hands when he finished. "I'm sure it'll come back eventually. It just might take time." He looked comfortable, if very tired and when he asked for another blanket she nodded, "sure, I'll be right back then you can get more sleep." She put the dish on the kitchen table, then walked down a hall to grab another blanket from a closet. She returned to find him curled up and almost asleep. She hummed in understanding when he said the news interested him as put the second blanket over the first and let him tuck it around himself. She pointed to the hallway she had come from, "my room's down there, holler if you need something." She walked to the wall, switching off the living room and kitchen lights, switching on the light over the sink so she could wash the dishes. After several minutes she put the last dish on the drying rack and gathered up her folders, leaving him to sleep.

She stayed up several hours due to the early time, music quietly playing near her bed and door halfway open. She eventually glanced at her clock, deciding it was definitely late enough to sleep. The next morning she woke up glaring at her clock which was currently humming quietly but was getting louder. Samantha deliberately pushed the button on the top, yawning into her pillow. She sat up, yawning again as she turned the clock off before it could hum again. She slipped on a pair of shoes, pulling her fingers through her hair in a vauge attempt to make the static go away. She stepped quietly to the living room, trying not to wake The Doctor if he was still asleep.

The Doctor knew that his memory would come back in time. He just wished that it would come back soon. He was curled up and had started to fall asleep. He knew that he needed the sleep. There wasn't much else he could do but sleep.
He was looking very tired, he didn't seem to have noticed her come back in the room as he was already asleep. He didn't move as he was relaxed where he was.
He seemed to be dreaming again, more memories flowing through his head.

"Rose." He muttered in his sleep. He didn't seem to know who she was but he figured that she must be important . He was still dreaming and rolled over in his sleep.
When he awoke he was trying to make sense of his dreams and memories. He saw that Samantha was already awake. He figured he must have slept in awhile.
"Morning." he said.
