I've been looking at the stuff about the setting (and there is a lot, sweet jesus), and I'm definitely interested. You've clearly put a lot of work into this. I'm interested in making a Draoi character, perhaps the weakest of their number who found out he was going to be sacrificed in order to make a new batch of initiates and decided, "hey, you know what, I'm not really a huge fan of that idea" and ran away. How would those powers be handled?

It's also worth mentioning that I've never been in a PbP before, at least not one that's lasted beyond a few weeks. Plenty of tabletop experience, though. Will that be a problem?

Nope! We all started somewhere, and I'm flattered that you've chosen my RP to be your first PbP RP.

As you're looking at a weaker Draoi, it'd be best to keep your powers in one branch. For example, the character in question probably only knows a Lux or Nox set of abilities. So you'll need to decide if you want to focus on defensive (Lux) or offensive (Nox) firstly. Once you've done that, then we can get to the nitty gritty. If you go offensive, you could choose to manipulate an element, say fire. The character could create gouts of fire from their hand or hurl fire balls. If you go defensive, you're looking at creating barriers, healing, teleportation etc. But as a Draoi, you'll be able to grow and branch out through the course of the RP depending on what circumstance allows for. But that's best left for down the road for now.

I'll get started on a character sheet, but I doubt it'll be as good as the ones made by the other players. Feel free to nitpick. Where do you find your character pictures? I've never been much good at that.
