Put simple as it can be; it's a pokémon/treasure hunt RP set in a non-existent region. I'm not so interested in super-deep posts as I am in regular posts. As for battles; I'm planning to employ www.pokemonshowdown.com since it is a simple (and free) means to an end. A few pointers to start, which will also be included in the raw CS:
-1 Starter Pokémon, any non-legendary basic pokemon is fine. Try to have it fit your starting town.
-Starting stuff: 5 Poké balls, $2000, Clothes and food. Beside money and poké balls it won't be necessary to really keep track of inventory, though if you want to, feel free.
-I'm looking for characters with plausable personalities. You're free to play a 10-year old, but you'll be expected to act like one...and be treated as one. In all honesty, I'm gunning for an age category of 15-25 but that's only a guideline, you'll still be free to play a 6-year old or a 50-year old character.
Well then, the plot--Here we go:
Most of you have visited some professor recently or just lived with your pokémon partner for a while now. You're newbie trainers with varying motives, but for whatever reason, you've come to Mokai; A newly discovered region filled with lush forests, large mountains and deep caves. The continent is scattered with relics of the past* and treasure beyond believe. One such treasure is said to beat all others combined the one piece rift-hoard. Legend claims it contains everything that has ever been lost, but it seems impossible to find. But with Mokai's deep cave systems that extend beneath the ocean, dense forests which are hardly traversable and high mountains that reach beyond the clouds, it is not hard to imagine how easily you could hide something here.
Mokai may be newly discovered, but is definitely not uninhabited. Mokai contains plenty of locals living in small villages spread throughout the region and with it's varying climates, most any kind of pokémon can be found on Mokai. Whether you're just a curious traveler, a treasure hunter looking for, well, treasure, or something else entirely; Mokai welcomes you.
*Ancient relics would be things such as rarer items or even custom items.
And that's the end of that. If this seems interesting to you, well, you know what to do if that's the case.
Rules are as usual; no meta-gaming, god-modding (which'll be hard with Showdown), no overly and needless offensive language.
And, no sexual content...? Depending on character development I'd be fine if relations were developed and acted out or whatnot, so long as it stays relatively mild to not break any forum rules.
Will add the names of towns in Mokai and a map once enough people show interest. and I'll have an OOC up. I'll run with any number, but I'd already be satisfied with 2, maybe 3 others.
