At this point Auz was just fucking curious. He slid to a stop five yards from his sword as Magnix flew out of sight. He wasn't worried about getting hit through the bridge, in doubt that Magnix could see or hear him. So, Auz waited.

Auz could potentially see him now flying through the air with a trail of smoke behind him. He flew along the side of the bridge but upward. Going above it but beside it. Heading down and further away at at least 30 mph. The flames being ejected from his palms at a larger rate than before.

Once he saw where Magnix was, Auz resumed a brisk jog towards his sword and picked it back up after sheathing his right hand dagger.

"What the hell are you doing!? I like fireworks as much as the next guy, but I didn't come here to watch you fly around! I didn't even come here to fight! I was going across the bridge to pick up some imported mead from the next town over! I can't reach your ass, so I guess I'll just go get my mead!"

In a huff, Auz began striding towards the other end of the bridge, apparently leaving.

Flames stopped and soon Magnixx was spreading his wings to slow himself. He rolled in the ground and stopped past his sword which later on the bridge past where Auz's torched bits were. He raised the blade with his right hand and stood up now holding it towards Aux with a single arm. He swings it and unleashes a gust of wind before raising it to lean on his shoulder. He was seemingly healed. "Now. Come and face my blade."

"Now yer' talkin'! Tell you what. I'll run right at you, again. A little courtesy, from one warrior to another."

Without further ado, Auz took off at full speed towards Magnix, greaves pounding chips out of the bridgework as they rapid-fired across the expanse.

With his blade in hand Magnixx felt immensely confident. He remembers the fallen beasts of legend that came to face him and threaten his people. Something he willed to only use on Dragons and the utmost of threats inorder to protect his people. Which was why he refrained from it's use. A weapon. No a shield for the people. Yet here it sat with him far away from his home. "Home." He spoke. "This blade was trusted to me to pass it down to the generations. You.. Are but in it's way." He spoke before sprinting toward Auz at a nearly just as great speed. Heading forward with his blade on his shoulder and held with his right hand.

When they were eight meters apart Auz's left arm streaked out, dagger leaving his hand so fast that it whistled. It spun towards Magnix's chest, a nasty distraction. During the fraction of a moment remaining before they got into range of each other, Auz then dedicated both hands to his longsword, bringing it up over his right shoulder in preparation for a cleaving blow. If Magnix allowed Auz into the range of his greatsword, he'd be unlikely to beat him to the strike given the swordsman's vastly lighter weapon and stunning speed. It was going to come down to timing and spacing.

A heat began to rise in Magnixx's blades surface. It's bone white coloration being infused with a rising orange.

With both of their speeds dodging any incoming attack would be amplified in difficulty. Magnixx knew this and he also knew the free hand of his enemy was deadly. Why? Due to his previous examples of using small blades over big blades to out play his opponent. The swift grasp and fling of Auz's blade was matched by the wary eyes of Magnixx. For as he saw the formidable hand blur to make a grab for his blade Magnixx's eyes burned with determination. With moving his right shoulder down he brought the thick width of the blade before him. Blocking all of his vital parts. The dagger would cling off of the blade to not fall too far off. It was then that Magnixx skidded on the ground, his speed not allowing him to stop entirely. But he used the momentum, for As his blade was brought before him by his right hand alone it leaned a bit forward toward Aux. Magnixx brought both hands on his blade now, right above left on the hilt. With one hand he could wield it without effort, with two it was even lighter to him.

They were within range now, and Magnixx's range for his weapon was six feet.

Auz already had his sword cocked back for a swing, and in two winks he'd be at the edge of Magnix's reach, still sprinting at full steam with no intention to stop. Could Magnix try to lower his blade and run Auz through? Could work, might work. It seemed cut and dry, something seen countless times on the telly. The one who charges in like a madman usually gets nailed with ease. Auz, who had lived for centuries, surely knew better.

There was something fishy going on, but scarcely any remaining time to consider it. The closer Auz got, the greater the chance he had of being able to beat Magnix to the draw.

Magnixx watched Auz as a warrior would for an formidable opponent. His blade was pointed up but leaned forward a bit. With two hands on the blade Mgnixx and his momentum having yet to entirely stop he still slid forward. His toes dug into the stone as best it could however. Auz was within range and Magnixx knew the length of his own blade well. With it being pointed upward it did not reach its 6 foot radius and did not threaten to skewer Auz on his frontal assault immediately. But as Auz came in Magnixx lowered the blade with a simple downward slash like a simple dice of a tomato, his blade not going very far down just enough to come down on Auz's head alone.

Like an elusive football player keeping up a full head of steam as he charged down the field with a ball in his hands, Auz feigned a weave to his left the moment he was in range to cross swords, before actually lunging to the right as Magnix's sword dropped. Magnix sure as hell hadn't been primed for a horizontal slash, so Auz had been expecting primarily a stab. A vertical cut was the only other practical move that could have been done from that position, and it could be handled the same way. Auz wasn't in comfortable reach of Magnix's body, but that had never been his goal. He wanted to take the king's hands. The king's sword was longer, but he had waited until Auz's head was in range before attacking. Auz's sword was shorter, but his target was much closer, thus nullifying Magnix's reach advantage when he attacked at roughly the same time.

He'd stream to the side of the swung greatsword whilst simultaneously bringing his weapon down to catch his opponent across the wrists to lop off those paws as they passed each other, intending to sever the hands whilst the king was still in the midst of his swing's momentum, as effortless as it may have been. Magnix might have been planning to draw in his sword to guard by pulling in his elbows, perhaps explaining his relatively shallow blow, but to do so properly would require him to have an idea of Auz's slashing speed, which at this point was far different to what it had been before. Magnix had only experienced Auz's enhanced footspeed and a jumping lunge, neither of which were competent indicators to the paladin's frighteningly swift swings. Dagger in hand and with his base 70's martial artist's speed, Auz could pass his weapon before the face of a common man so quickly that were there to be a reaction, it would be delayed by seconds before the realization that they were dead set in. Yes, Auz may have had less physical strength than Magnix, but he compensated with the benefit of having a faster swing and a sword over fifty times lighter, making it much easier to recover after and during an attack. Even if Magnix could redirect his swing, it would be an afterthought considering Auz's own attack had already been launched with a firmly rooted purpose.

As Auz was fast and carried a lighter weapon he himself knew little of Magnixx's maximum strength. His blade was wielded by him for many years and before his days as it's wielded he trained to one day wield it. Able to carry it with one hand and swift enough to block a thrown dagger. His simple drop of his blade could only considered a chop, but one that could not be completed. For as the blade dropped to meet Auz's skull which was the closest thing to him when in range Auz himself moved to avoid it, predictably. Magnixx could see full well Auz's blade coming down due for he distance and it's length needed to reach his arms. He with all of his urgency swung his blade toward Auz's. Knees bending with a twist of his back foot on the stone bridge surface. Given the close range and length of their blades Magnixx could narrowly clash blades with Auz. Though the closeness disallowed Magnixx swing with all of his might he could still make a warriors weapon useless after clashing with him. If the blade was made of common materials.

Auz had almost four-hundred years of experience on Magnix, the many techniques and styles of sword thoroughly mastered by him. That four-hundred years wasn't for nothing. He could easily identify an opponent's intent by how much of their body they dedicated to their attack, by how they squared their shoulders and shifted their balance, much like how a professional boxer reads punches. Mohammad Ali was in his prime during his late twenties/early thirties, and fully capable of such feats. Auz was 462 years old. It was like comparing a marble of experience next to a bowling ball. Auz talked like an impudent punk, but in reality he was an old, old, old man. In response to his opponent's counter Auz initiated a 'hanging left' with the left foot planted and leading mid-stride, moving at top speed as he shoved off his right foot, abruptly twisting his arms to angle the point of his sword down over where the fuller would typically be in Magnix's greatsword, a far more natural action than suddenly changing direction and momentum mid-swing. It wasn't changing momentum, just position. As a result his sword would arch over Magnix's own, Auz thusly draping his blade across Magnix's chest at extreme close range to try and diagonally cleave open the king's sternum, sundering flesh and muscle. Such a move could easily slice into the victim's heart or lungs. Of course, Auz was more or less unguarded at that point as well, but their strokes were set to hit at about the same time and he was more than willing to trade. After all, Magnix was swinging the broad of his sword at Auz, not the edge, as he had attacked out from his chop without twisting the blade. Auz would receive a blunt bone-breaking blow, but Magnix could wind up taking something very fatal.
