Expanding on these:

-We've definitely got to let them have a little bit of their "honeymoon period" (if it's even called that yet since they're not actually getting married, I liked your synopsis of it though gave me a good chuckle XD) Up to you how you feel that should go, we could summarise it and then skip forward if you like or we could spend a couple posts on it and then do the skip forward?

-I REALLY like the idea of combining both too, Renso finally realising he's going to croak and frantically reaching out to Ari and Bol as the only two people he can "trust" with the most advanced of his teachings. They could then like you say journey back to Zinuthra to meet up with everybody else (yay, reunions!) and fill them in on what they learned from Renso and set up the training etc. to make sure it keeps spreading to Force users in the galaxy.

-All the yes for creating this ancient species, I can't remember if we talked much about what they'd be like before but the Chiss might be a good place to start (though I'd have to read up on their lore again XD) Were they going to be more technologically advanced and a bit like the Rakata or were they something else entirely?

Skipping forward would be fine by me. We can do what we did for our six month time skip, inserting little memories and creating ones as we go. Also, it might be kinda cool for them to visit the sanctuary on Taris and meet up with some of the Council in order to let them know that they're heading after Renso. I would assume the Council would frown upon it initially, but would understand their reasons...somewhat xD(I'd assume they would want the duo to stay behind to help out) That would, of course, be followed up by a larger reunion on Zinuthra as you alluded to.

Zinuthra would then naturally be the site for the new academy? Or at least, the makings of one. That way Force users can have a place to train.

And actually, I don't know much about the Chiss myself, but methinks it would be kinda cool to explore their backstory. Maybe tie it into the True Sith? Cause the Chiss seem to have an attraction to the former Sith order, so why wouldn't their ancestors have the same...WAIT, WAIT. This may sound crappy, but I just got an idea:

With the Renso about to die, he warns Aria and Yerbol about the Chiss forebears, who were once crushed into submission by the True Sith. The Chiss ancestors were wild, uncontrollable warriors that lusted for power and held a strict hierarchy that punished those who were ruled underneath it. Years of subjugation created a dependence for those scant Chiss survivors to cling to the True Sith for survival, said survivors working in secret to preserve whatever of their race they could in stasis chambers mainly used for Masters of the True Sith to meditate in. When the True Sith's realm collapsed, these pods were forgotten about until an Alliance expedition uncovers and awakens them. Rife with power, these Chiss ancestors begin to wreak havoc on the galaxy, attracting all sorts of unsavory characters to join their cause in "throwing the galaxy into total anarchy".

What do you think?

Sounds like a plan, let's go ahead with that!

And that isn't crappy in the SLIGHTEST, that is really awesome actually! Thumbs up for that! Let's do it! :3

Yahoo on both accounts! Would you mind terribly in reading up on lore and seeing what you can do with these "Chiss ancestors"? I've got work meetings and kids banging down my door, so I don't know about squeaking out a post today. I can read what you find out/tweak about what I proposed, then post tomorrow?

Sooo here is what I’ve discovered! (feel free to edit or omit anything that doesn’t seem to work ofc! XD)

“Not much is known” apparently, about their origins which bodes VERY well for us tinkering with it to fit to our True Sith concept! *flails excitedly* (I’m also self-confessed to be TERRIBLE with dates/chronology so it may not match up with the ‘canon’ dates given in the Wookieepedia article but we can call it artistic license, right? O.o haha)

Some history stuff (which I had to kind of link back to the actual Chiss stuff in some places in order for it to make sense haha): (working on the premise provided that Chiss were a “forgotten off-shoot colonization attempt” by early humans and the scenarios that caused (which I SLIGHTLY ran away with to tie it to our True Sith haha)

-Scientific studies suggest that modern Chiss have a genetic similarity to baseline humans, we could tweak this somehow to work into our idea of the True Sith interbreeding with ‘human’ Sith and becoming “less pure” by their standards...perhaps this ancestral species was an attempt by some of Renso’s closest/most devout followers to “reverse engineer” (via using the Force/alchemy to mess with genes and all that fun stuff) that evolution/interbreeding BACK into the original True Sith species, as they began to realise that their own species was dwindling and being out-competed by the human/Sith hybrid descendents?

-These specimens (name suggestion, something like Xiis’ia due to the alchemy or whatever used on them in an attempt to bring them back to the perceived “perfection” of the original Sith race, still retain their connection to the Force but on a much weaker level than the remaining True Sith and the hybrids who are also changing and evolving alongside them (how else are they going to squash them back into submission later ofc! XD) are transported off the original research facility on Quensu and taken to another planet/moon, called Chufion Prime (that one near Zinuthra that we made and never got to expand on or play with? XD), to give them more space to work, setting up a network of regular transports for resources etc. Trying to go with names that make the “Ch” and “iss” sound somewhere with the idea of it eventually being morphed ‘Chinese-whispers’ style into the modern day “Chiss” species name because they couldn’t remember the full names of both as the majority of the early individuals lacked the ability to write and most of their history was passed down by ‘word-of-mouth’ stories like tribes? Too much? XD

-The project was never highly backed in the first place, and eventually even Renso grew impatient and lost his faith in it, abandoning it to instead work on the genealogies etc. that our group uncovered on their trip to Quensu, which he felt was a better way of attempting to preserve his bloodline. This left only the scientists/individuals who were MOST dedicated to the project to frantically scramble to keep it going off their own backs, since Renso and the other True Sith would eventually cut off any and all resources they had been siphoning into it (“this is a waste of time and we need those resources for ourselves! :L” <--- could begin the animosity between the Xiis’ia/their ‘caretakers’ and the True Sith (“How dare they throw us aside like garbage because they are more powerful than we are, we’ll gather strength and show them!”) The True Sith government Renso and co have established abandon what remains of that project on Chufion Prime and gradually forget that they even exist as they become so all-consumed in “we must regain control and power!” they forgot about their failed science experiments

-At the same time, the planet/moon undergoes sudden and massive freezing (think ice age), changing from a temperate climate to something similar to what Hoth is like, with the remaining specimens and scientists being forced to pack up what they could and try to out run the rapidly expanding glaciers around the planet. They aren’t AS technologically advanced as the True Sith but have access to the technology they salvage that the TS left behind upon abandoning the project. The ice eventually spreads planet-wide and they are forced to begin tunnelling underground living networks in order to escape the freezing temperatures (they tap into the natural geothermal heat underground from the earth/rocks to keep it warm enough that they don’t get frostbite and die of hypothermia? XD) This eventually leads to their skin turning a bluer tint and their eyes to pigment red, because of lack of exposure to sunlight/needing to absorb more heat slash see in the dark, you get the idea no? :P

-They gain strength and numbers, experimenting and evolving and developing their own technology until they get to the “we can travel in space now! :D” stage where they begin to conduct exploratory forays, and come back into contact with the True Sith. By this time Renso is possibly the only (?) one left alive from the original government that REMEMBERS the Xiss’ia, but he still recognises them (kind of an “oh crap it’s those guys” moment?). He attempts to peacefully approach them but the Xiss’ia are so aggressive towards them because of their isolation being blamed on the True Sith that they attack Renso and government unprovoked. This leads to retaliation which starts the war

-War rages, and eventually ends in the True Sith beating them back into the far reaches of Wild Space back to Chufion Prime, but not before the Xiss’ia (who had to develop more advanced technology in order to survive with weak/without Force abilities, thus being more “advanced” than the TS from that prospect, but not necessarily more powerful) manage to wipe out most of what is left of the original Sith Race, leaving only some individuals from Renso’s lineage project (leading into the stuff that already happened in Act 1?), some of the Xiss’ia in the chaos flee in the other direction and end up in Known Space, eventually becoming the modern day Chiss (enter Thrawn and all that good stuff from Clone Wars etc. XD)

-Renso leads strike teams to eliminate MOST of their technology, but the Xiss’ia leaders squirrel some away in secret and they remain on Chufion Prime licking their wounds and festering until Renso dies (Renso being their only barrier between them and Known Space, as they were too fearful of his power to try and oppose him after being beaten back several times)

-With Renso gone they become braver and venture back out to cause all kinds of problems: “GALACTIC DOMINATION MWAHAHA”?

Society structure ideas (only tiny ones compared to that brain fart up there hahaha but still a few to consider) :
-The flee from the glaciers etc. leads to mass panic in the current population, it becomes an ‘every man (or woman whatever) for themselves’ mentality with a lot of spontaneous fighting and feuds breaking out between small ‘cliques’ of individuals

-The more dominant of the cliques overpower their rivals and establish a sort of primitive tribal government, remaining in power as long as they can continue to prove that they are the strongest individuals out there etc etc.

-This seems to work for them on the isolated planet which leads to the lifestyle becoming instinctually ingrained in their psyche (hence why Chiss are so against any non-Chiss beings telling them what to do? XD)
These ideas could somehow leak out into the ‘modern’ Sith Order during part of the war (perhaps Renso attempts to honour their “most powerful person is the leader” customs by setting up duels or tests of strength between key figures. The Xiss’ia throw tantrums when they don’t win, attack anyway and start the war mentioned above ^^?) which could lead into the development of the Sith’s original trials/’you must have more power than your rivals to be worth anything’ system?

Thoughts? Additions/Subtractions? Anything else important I should look at and add that I’ve missed?

So, I don't have very much to add...was going to add a couple of things here and there, but then realized you addressed them already. Sweet! Don't mean this to be a cop out, but that all...yes. Yes let's do this :D

By the way, I've already come up with the workings of one of our main villains for us. I want to introduce her first before jotting down thoughts seeing as I think she'll evolve as we go. Fair warning; where Bracknell was tactful, precise and controlling, she's...well, very much like the lore you built. Brutal, vicious, tenacious, violent and borderline psychotic. I'm REALLY looking forward to getting her in there.

Woops I totally forgot to actually write down the Quesh stuff I brainstormed over the weekend XD It's nowhere near as good as the Xiis brainfart but maybe it's got some things that'd be of use so here goes *cracks knuckles*

again there's not an awful lot on Quesh lore-wise, and its been forever since I played the Quesh storyline in SWTOR so I don't really remember any of it xD

-So the toxic atmosphere is apparently important to makng (adrenal) stims so perhaps Lon and his followers make use of this in an attempt to somehow make themselves more powerful than the Qyaari (kind of like the power guard project from the Consular storyline of SWTOR? I know they'd have Force abilities etc but what if they were trying to develop cybernetics or something that used (adrenal) stims to heighten their Force presences even further in an attempt to be more powerful?)
-If we go down this route there are supposedly abandoned Imperial research facilities there which they could make use of for that purpose
-The toxic atmosphere could also be a kind of deterrant so alternatively they could simply use Quesh as a base of their operations because it'd be harder for people to drop in on them unexpected? (kinda like Zinuthra's mountain ranges)

OR

-along the same vein and still looking at stims, what if Lon and his followers managed to set themselves up on Quesh with the goal of trying to monopolise the (adrenal) stim market in their favour, so they control all the production and exports of stims and thus attempting to win favour/more backing from powerful people and turn them to their side against the Qyaari/Alliance so they could depose them and set up their "Force user government"?

Thoughts/Additions/Subtractions? XD

So after remembering where we were, I have a few ideas on how to progress and would love your suggestions/input on how to modify them:

-I'd like to expose some of the more sympathetic figures in Manso's network on Tattoine as a way of contrasting the Qyaari and highlighting the fact that the galaxy is still fractured. To that end it might be cool to have Ari/Yerbol resolve some threat to the network(maybe sand people raiding the settlement? Mercenaries sent by local Hutts who felt jaded by the network due to not paying protection money? Don't know that bit yet). I'd also like to shed light on Manus' supply diverting, which leads me to this...

-When the delivery of supplies is made and the side threat dealt with, Kartan and Vaerth find that the once touted "fully stocked" outpost has been slowly running out of basic rations and weaponry. The Force users there have been trying to figure out why their supply drops had been getting more scant, which then cues Yerbol and Aria's revelation about Manus' hoarding. I'd assume Kartan/Vaerth would still be skeptical, but willing to help more so than before.

-While Yerbol and Aria are on Tattoine, the Council receives reports from the Alliance intelligence outpost on Zinuthra that across Outer Rim space there have been reports of widespread chaos. Mercenary groups and terrorist cells are turning up dead along with civilians and Alliance squadrons stationed there. Two Qyaari scouting parties also went dark on (insert outer rim planet). These attacks, of course, are coordinated by Manus in order to instigate distractions for he and Jean to move undetected throughout the Outer Rim.

-The chaos would get so out of hand that some of the Elders would insist on coming to help Alliance squadrons/personnel and Qyaari forces. This leaves Zinuthra depleted, leading to a two pronged attack:

1. The outer rim world that the Qyaari scouts disappeared on is the trap laid for Yerbol, Aria and the Elder who accompanies them(I'd like for it to be Voldon for...well, I'll get to that). They land, get shot down and are surrounded by Faceless/Manus and Jean.

2. Zinuthra is then attacked by more Faceless platoons that emerge from hyperspace, taking the planet off guard.

In trap one...well, I've been thinking about this for a while and I think it would be in Voldon's character to attempt to hold off as many as he could to get survivors off world.

Which means that he'd die.

...

I know, I know! Killing an Elder is not what I'd like to do, but I think he would serve as a good martyr for the Qyaari.

Well, that's all I got for now. What do you think?

Oh man, these are some very good ideas my friend, I like them XD

Really like the first idea, and both options with the Sand People and Hutts sound pretty good...the sand people attacking the settlement would be more straightforward to work out, I suppose, because they're always known for being aggressive etc., but they wouldn't have much alterior motive to attack the settlement other than just being territorial...I doubt the Hutts would consider bribing the sand people to attack on their behalf? Or could they? O.O (but then, if they did how would the Hutts get the money that they wanted from the people in the settlement? *scratches chin* unless the Hutts sent the sand people to raid/steal stuff they could re-sell to make the money back...?) I dunno haha xD

And that is a very, very nasty idea o: but I like it! XD We have been very, very nice to them so far and not a lot of people have died, so I say lets go for it! It'd be in character for Voldon, and it'd give the others some more character development thats for sure!

(poor Kira, though ;-;)

- I imagine them finding a lot of Force-draining Rakata technology on a stop off once they arrive in unknown space, which they would later discover were weapons that the Rakata were developing to use against the peoples of the known galaxy because of course, they're power hungry, unstable buggers that would like to squash everyone under their boots ;) Whether they find these things before or after finding Revan and Meetra is totally up for discussion. Either way I'm sure the older two would be able to offer some insight on the topic. I don't know how far into the 'newer' SWTOR content you ever got, but something along the lines of the Eternal Fleet perhaps, but instead of ships they'd essentially be new and improved versions of the Star Forge and in en masse style numbers?

- following from that, I was thinking to myself the other day that if Revan and Meetra were alive this whole time and watching the chaos unfold in the known galaxy, they would have to be very very preoccupied with something just as important to stop them from packing up for a few years to return to save the day? So what if, Meetra and Revan have been chasing the creators of these super weapons around unknown space (in the Ebon Hawk too, perhaps? :3) and trying to stop them from returning to known space, destroying as many of the weapons as they can. (but of course, this is the Rakata...and I imagine that as many as they destroy, the more they make? Hahaha)

- Further inspired by Knights of the Fallen Empire/Eternal Throne, there's the possibility for Valkorion/Vitiate to have somehow been involved in the whole matter? Perhaps he awoke the first Rakata from cryosleep and struck a deal with them, and so forth... So that after Voldon killed his body at the end of the Knight Storyline (?) his spirit remained alive and was pulled back into unknown space where he remained, plotting to overthrow everyone and so forth, remaining sustained by the Force-draining tech, which would suck the life out of any planet, being etc that they send it at, and then pour that life energy into Valkorion and the Rakata masterminds instead to keep them alive.
Naturally, they would have to destroy all of the objects to be able to be rid of them, as an ultimate end goal? :D

- Further reason for Revan to want to remain there, if he desperately wanted to help Renso and the True Sith stop Valkorion he wouldnt want to give it up that easily. (But Y'know, with less of the ridiculous bat shit crazy Shadow of Revan version of him because that was just totally ridiculous XD)

Thaaaats what I got so far! Obviously we can add to it and flesh it out more haha XD

So, I really don't have much to add to those points except for a few things here:

-The Rakata certainly seemed like(for the most part) a people consumed with attempting to establish dominance over anything(or one) that they come into contact with. Naturally then whatever survivors from the Infinite Empire were left on Lehon would be po'ed that Revan kinda tanked their whole Star Forge operation because of their desire to exhibit power over the galaxy. This desire stems from Valkorian...

-...who ran the Eternal Empire out in the deep fathoms of Unknown Space(KOTFE never explained that very well, did they? At least, I haven't received an explanation up to where I'm at now, which is chapter 12? I think?) and utilized many of the same techniques Renso became aware of in his little corner of space thanks to the teachings of the True Sith. I'd like to think that Valkorian discovered how to manipulate the Force to preserve himself from Sith who he then killed(that sounds like him, doesn't it? xD) to try and preserve the secrecy of his powers, which of course didn't work thanks to the True Sith establishing themselves far enough away from Valkorian to escape his notice. Right, so back to Val.

-Val builds up the Eternal Empire, which naturally catches the attention of the Rakata, who attempt to wage war with their own Infinite Empire. Naturally Val is intrigued by how the Rakatan can exploit the Force for their own galactic domination, so he allows for skirmishes to occur while intelligence is gathered about their new opponents. After sufficient recon, Val "surrenders" and allows the Rakatan leaders to unbridled access to the capital city. With the Rakatan's guard down, Val's military forces seize the various weaponry the Rakatan have along with their leaders, who Val promptly tortures in order to extract information(because, again, it's Valkorian). The torture doesn't last for very long, however, seeing as the Rakatan leaders aren't morons and know when they have been defeated, so Valkorian's Eternal Empire and the Rakatan's Infinite Empire strike a deal. The Rakatan fork over their knowledge and blueprints to the Eternal Empire while being given the support of the Eternal Empire to go out and subdue the unknown regions of space. This then sparks the Rakatan invading known space and establishing their hold over known space until infighting(of course) broke their empire down and so on.

-Fully aware that the Rakatan would eventually consume themselves, Valkorian bides his time, constructing more Star Forge type machinery and consuming more and more of his sector of the galaxy until all of it can be claimed as a part of the Eternal Empire. From there, he launches a campaign into known space and establishes the Empire, disguising himself as the Emperor and eventually is killed by our boy Voldon. Although his body is gone, his spirit remains painfully alive and is currently guiding his son, Arcan, to amass enough of a force to finish what he started. The Eternal Empire's potential dominance over all sentient life is the threat Revan sensed all those years ago and recruited Meetra to help him with.
