I like drawing weird things probably more than I ought to. The nastier the better. This'll be a radiant thread in which I'll dish out quick free sketches during my spare time, for the purposes of fun and practise.

I do take paid commissions during certain windows, but not now.

thread purpose
If your tidbit of fiction has a monster who you'd like to see visually, send an excerpt my way. I'll do my best to represent it how you imagined. References are cool too, but I'd prefer to keep things original and not be ripping off other artist's thoughts. Don't expect me to simply redraw another image.

Please do not pester me. Allow a good few days of silence before poking me. Chances are I'll see everything that's posted here, so don't fret if I haven't visually acknowledged your request. I'll be trucking on as always.

Hit me up with those nasties.

Might throw a few descriptions over for demons and other entities that have bounced around my canons.

Awesome! :3

Hi, I'm planning a new role-play series called Urban Creatures and I'm looking for help on drawing certain creatures.

PM-ing you on how the creature is like if you don't mind, as I would like to keep it as a twist for the role-play. xD

Right, managed to conjure up a few buggers out of a list of creatures to give a shot at. I'll throw 'em at ya one at a time.

The first, like the others, is an old demon that represents a lovecraftean manifestation of a few human elements. It does have a name, if that would be necessary, which I don't think it is at the moment - up to you.

Its primary domain is envy, and it is one of eleven creatures that is used typically to terrify children in the night for being monstrosities beyond even the usual interpretation of a demon. It has no clear origin; it simply appeared in early recesses of mortal history in tales and old literature giving philosophical babble on the eleven demon-gods worshiped through the ages by various fringe groups of society.

It is typically described as having a lower body structure similar to that of a praying mantis, the main distinctions being two to three times as thick lower limbs and pitch black coloring on each limb and body segment. The upper half drastically changes, looking as though someone fused the lower grasshopper portion with the underbelly of a scorpion (and yes, often with the depiction of smaller scorpions mounted on its back). Each 'leg', serving as an extra arm, is capable of elongating. The upper part is also pitch black. Four beady purple eyes stare from what passes as a face. The lower body as a whole is naturally thicker to maintain a somewhat logical body structure. The sum is a creature standing about two heads taller than an "average" interpretation of a tall human.

@ArenaSnow Lovely. Give me a day or so and I'll throw scorpi-mantis in here. My scorpion lady is currently carrying her babies, so she'll give me a good reference.

@DeadbeatWalking Plenty o' time. Can't promise that I'll have them all sent in one batch, but we'll see.

I have a few weird aliens in my RPG that might be of interest to you, or might not be. They're not totally monstrous. Lemme know!
