They're goign to flip out when they hear the Commonwealth has/had over a million member worlds.
According to the Star Trek: First Contact the Federation had over 150.

One thing I was thinking about - they mentioned Rommie was Astronomical Officer. What could be done (except that Gaheris asked) was have her the one working with Data (lol that will be a surprise for her) and try to keep Gaheris occupied on something else. That way they can ascertain more about the two from her without Gaheris being around to shut her down every sentence or two lol.

Either or, should be fun. :)

I'm okay, been putting together a writing workshop for the area, it's tough getting shit lined up with getting a room, advertizing and stuff. Bleh. But I decided I gotta do it now or I'll keep making excuses. -grumbles-

Yes, it was an excellent episode. Riker's arguments, Picard's.
It would be fun to incorporate something like this somewhere along the line in our story.
Especially if an AI is convicted of a crime (it might just been murder or some major crime) they are erased in the Andromeda Universe.

Either or. Should be fun somewhere down the line.

Looking forward to a reply but again - I'm patient so don't stress too much. :)

It would be a group in the area. More workshop than anything else, a few writing exercises and stuff, I'd offer editing for those who want an extra pair of eyes looking at their stuff. I'm crossing my fingers!

Aww I'm sorry you've been busy. It seems like a busy time of year for everyone but I think the holidays make it more worth it than usual!

Given we'd have two 'AI's with us, it would be interesting to see some kind of moral dilemma take place given a crime. I loved Data-centered episodes, they were always fascinating.

And I got a post, it's not great but I'm shaking off some rust haha. Let me know if you need me to add more though.

Yeah, I have a writing group (a friend and I lol) and we submit some of our personal work to get another set of eyes on it.
That's always pretty good. Nice to get another opinion and all. :)
I take it, you do a lot of writing and such?
Do you enjoying editing?

Yes Data is a bit intriguing. Almost childlike wonder and a desire to be human.
He's pretty cool. It will be fun exploring the personalities a bit more.

Yeah I figured if I took us too the morning it might get a bit lengthy heh.

And yeah writing is a good hobby I enjoy. I took a few in the summer and the workshops have always been fun, you meet a lot of neat people who are creative and help push your ideas. I think it's great to share writing, it encourages you to keep at it and to try new things. And yep, I enjoy editing. I'm probably more critical than most but I do try to be fair and helpful.

Yes, I enjoy writing. It is probably my biggest hobby.
And you do meet a lot of great people at writing conferences. I met a guy from Toronto, Canada and it was awesome.
We met a few times before he headed back going over writing and stuff in general. Writing can be a lonely hobby at times and it's always nice to find a fellow writer who gets it. Who understands the creativity, the art. And yes, it helps you keep pushing your own writing.
That's why I like RP as well. My writing has drastically improved over the years because of it. :)

And nice. I sometimes like editing. But I'm also eh....
Can't I just get it out and leave it at that? lol
Depends. Though I've never been a fan of the grammatical side of things.

So I left it where you can pick up with Beverly and Gaheris; Riker and Rommie - with Data showing up.
We probably can even have a third scene at the same time with Nex and Picard.
Or we could set that where it was already done (and reference it or something).

Holidays got me a bit busy but if I can get you something tomorrow night I'll try, otherwise a post is likely to spring up post-Christmas like on Tue.

I hope you're enjoying the holidays. I'm so sad, I haven't heard from some folks and I gotta hope it's cause they're partying so hard, as opposed to being stuck with studying or family drama.

But writing is a great outlook and a tool and doing it with people is almost more enjoyable than writing on your own. I think writing is a neat way to connect people, develop new ideas and to just let your mind wander. Sure video games rock but you could do anything with a pen and paper. -laughs-

Maybe I just sound nuts.

I understand. The holidays are a bit crazy and all. I hope you have a Merry Christmas either way! :)

I concur. You're preaching to the choir. lol
It also helps to keep you dedicated to writing. From November through today I've probably written nearly 60k words in various roleplays and replies. Not much of that would have been written on my own (though I do like to write my own stuff as well).
I think having someone relying on you (i.e. waiting for a reply lol) helps.
And honestly, roleplay does improve one's overall writing (presuming they want to go write a book or something). My own writing skills has drastically improved over the years because of this.
So no - you're not nuts.
Unless we're both nuts. Which is a good possibility lol.

Congrats on that major writing goal! I'd say that impressive even if it's roleplaying. I think I write about that as well and it's cool to see the numbers tallied up over time. And I agree, I do think having someone push you along and encourage you, helps your own independent writing endeavors. Just like writing alone probably helps when you write with others. :)

Btw the way I hope you're having a merry little christmas (if that's your thing). :)

Yeah, I started tracking it for NaNoWriMo (not going to write 50k on a new novel but wanted to see how much I wrote in general).]
Apparently, I write a lot lol.
And it pretty neat to see it keep counting up.
I have a cool spreadsheet I'm using to track moving forward with a goal every month.

And thank you.
I do celebrate Christmas and it should be a bit merry. :)
I hope yours is as well!
