Time: 1 month before graduation, Thursday night Location: Tadayoshi's house, outskirt of Amegakure
Today is going to be an important date, Tadayoshi thinks before inserting his hand into a glove. The sound of the medical gloves stretches and contracts contradicted to the sound of the rain come to contact against the plastic ceilings add a certain kind of beat to today. But rain is not the only guest.
Outside, not far from his home, there lays a small ecosystem that Tadayoshi had recently made for his test subjects. Inside, 15 pairs of rats had been given a small area of 300 meter square. They were strong, relatively quicker than its peers in the sewers, and have a much darker skin. And that what placed them as the subject to be study.
During moment like these, when the rains begin to pick their tempo and play the song of thunder and lightning, Tadayoshi could hear the squirming sound from the rats den. But today is more than that. Today, he will attempt to take another being’s life.

But here it is, death is real. And as always, death could easily come into his top 4 most fear things.
Here he is, standing under the luminescent lamp, hands placed on his heart as he tries to calm himself but prove to be a futile act. His eyes lock on the beings that are secured on the medical table, whose body is struggling to break free from the chains. It muscle tensed, its breath filled with a disorganized pattern, and its tail whipped everywhere it can. ” It is futile,” Tadayoshi whispered to the mouse before placing his hand over its spine while the other take out a medical knife. And of course, seeing the glimmering knife is just a few inches away from claiming its life, the mouse struggling to break free is even harder. It must use all its strength, for if it don’t, it will die.
Death is all that fear. And Tadayoshi begins to fear what he is going to do. It is not death that he is facing. It is that he himself is accompanied with death. For this being, whose soul is trembling as it is chained to the table, he must be nothing more than a monster. An incarnation of death. The ender of happiness. The period to the present and the beginning for a sea of the past. In a sense, Tadayoshi wondered to himself, has he turn into god?
The idea scared him, making him to be afraid of what he might do. So Tadayoshi begins giving himself reason to not to commit what he might going to do. Maybe I should release it. Maybe it also has a son to take care of. Maybe, it has a home to return to. Maybe, it has wife. Maybe it has a pair of twin, waiting for him to return home. Maybe, they are just outside the gate, waiting for his shadow to cast upon them and say that “there is no demon under their beds.” Maybe, his wife is sitting at a table with hot meals ready for him. For all one knows, it is worth to be release.
Tadayoshi eyed at the rat on the table, who had not stopped its attempted in breaking free. Free…, Tadayoshi thinks longingly as he still try to grasp the idea of dying for freedom. And that struggle for survival brings softness in his heart.
Reaching for the shackle, Tadayoshi eyes came to a stop as he meets his mother picture. There she was, smile in her brightest day. There she was, with him in his first birthday. There she was, keeping all his drawings on the wall. Doesn’t he want her back? Doesn’t he want the memory to continue? Doesn’t he vow to bring her back? Then, for what reason causes him to flinch?

Personality
Although used to be one of the most active in the clan, Agares is not the person he used to be. A hardworking and lovable person, there aren’t enough words to describe a person who raised a child by herself in the hustle and bustle of New York City. Although wanted to stay by his side during his treatments, the job that provided her livelihood and his medication won’t allow her for a soft moment. In return, she makes sure to call him every night and morning. But Zhang’s feelings toward his mother are mixed. A part of him is emotionally attached to her commitment and determination. But a part of him is fueled by rage and a sense of disgust at his mother’s girlfriend. It is not that Zhang has some prejudices toward LGBT people. It is just his heart could not accept the reality of his mother having another one. In his imagination, she was supposed to be in more pain and guilt and not taking another step.
Wang Liu: Zhang’s father. He used to own a construction company. But due to an accident, he left the mortal realm on Zhang’s birthday. For his father’s death, Zhang had always pressed himself, despite the fact that his father passing is nothing more than an accident.
Fun Fact: Zhang could complete one book, 400 pages thick, within 8 hours while still possessed some relatively good idea about what is being written. A task that few of his peers could compare.

But for the majority of the world, people don’t care. They already had enough trouble in their workplaces, in their houses and the expectations to care for those frivolous things. And who can blame them? Out of a thousand, eight had just passed out. Out of a thousand, nineteen cries of newborns was heard. And out of that vast place that the people there don’t know people here, a happy birthday song is sung as well as tears were shed for those buried underground or cremated.
Understatement is an overrated word. None can truly understand the real meaning of grief. But yet, here they stand, griefing about Wang’s death. The sun is bright with no hinted of clouds in the sky. He could still remember his mother when she received the news of her husband’s death, the poor soul fainted. The next things that he knew were how his mother cried against another woman’s chest, practically pouring her soul out for the strange woman.
And now, after two weeks, she was still heartbroken by her husband’s death. The figure in black pained him, urging him to tell his mom that everything is going to be alright. To promise her that he will do anything to make his father proud, to live up his name. To provide her with a place to lie upon. But deep down, Zhang knew it would never be true. By her side, he saw a strange figure that he had forced to be familiarized with these few days. Her name was Talia if he was unmistaken, a Bengali by blood and a rightful citizen of United and States. Her English was extraordinary, only using of what they called “Southern England” accent. Her posture was well trained, crossed legs when seated, straightened back even when talking casually with mom, used this certain spoons/ forks/ knives for this very course. In fact, pointed out if he is wrong, but Zhang thinks it is possible that mom’s interest and practice of having three separate courses spark from this very individual. This person, this alien, is so strange to him. And mom, the person that Zhang thought he knew very well of, who is she? Is she the person that went straight from home after work? Just like every other male of the family, Zhang wears a white suit today. The sunlight reflected from his suit highlighted the uncomfortable sense of feeling he is currently having. In some strange and backward logic, his father’s death felt less insignificant compared to the strange figure’s that his mother’s head is resting on.

His heart weighted to how Talia clutches her hand in Jasmine's trembling hands. For all I know, all the external factors had been similar to Jonas’ case during his possible X-gene awakening situation. The environment that the woman's pregnancy was predominantly in the dark and very cramped to establish a false sense of being underground. But for the last time I check, the genes sequences that are probably resulted in Jonas’ empowerment was identical with a minor uncertainty caused by the measurement devices.

Life was kinda hard for Moth after he had escaped the facility. Despite taking the initiative in liberating himself from the chains, Moth has no idea what to do with his newly founded freedom. The sole reason for his escape was to avoid the sword of Damocles hanging on his neck. And now, with that sword disappeared, Moth doesn't know what to do next. Years of training had taken away his preferences. Now, he doesn't even know what to do with the free time on his hand. Unlike his peers, who may be enjoying the ability to live a normal life and the hard-earned freedom, Moth found his life to be rotten with meaningless. And before he knew it, he falls into the cycle of depression and self-harm. The jagged blades carved over his skin countless time as he tries to draw out a path of himself, but proved to be futile as the wounds grow back the next day. Fortunately, the invisible pains that he felt can now be described in speakable words. And he falls for it.
The wounds began growing larger and deeper, and he felt happy. The sadness in his soul was understood by his body. There were no longer an "I" in the solution but a "We."
