Sammy laughed about his twin cousins. "That is just too cute and funny at the same time." She said with a smile. "Wish I could meet them one day." She said looking out the window. "Hey how long was it suppose to take your dad to get here?"
Sammy smiled and took his hand as she used him to help stay off her bad ankle so she could let it heal before soccer try outs. "So I first meet your mom and now I get to meet your dad this is cool." She said with a smile.
"Yeah," said Andre, helping Sam to the door. His father, a tall man with a layer of fat over his muscles, and graying black hair, had loaded the bikes in the back of his pickup. He smiled at the two. "This your new friend?" he asked. "Yeah, this is Sam," Andre introduced.
Sammy smiled as they walked out the door and she saw his dad and waved at him with a smile. "Hello Sir My actual name is Samantha but I prefer to be called Sam or Sammy and thank you for coming to pick us up after I got my ankle twisted from learning how to ride a bike." She siad with a sweet smile on her face and was excited to meet Andre's father.
"Sam hurt her ankle," Andre said. His father nodded. "Okay," he said. "Young lady, do you have to be home at a certain time? What Andre didn't say is his mother is a nurse."
"No I don't have a time to be home my grandfather is pretty good at giving my my space he says as long as I get up for school the next day I can be out for a long time." She sad for it was true it was her grandmother that tried to make her go on a cerfew but she never did it.
"Sure I love too." Sammy said with a smile at them for she would like to eat with people that either hate her or pitied her for she knew that was why her grandfather was nice to her.
"You'll love it!" Andre chirped. He helped Sam up into the cab. "Mom adds ranch mix to the hamburger before making it, and adds pickles when it's done!"
Sammy smiled at how excited and happy Andre was as he explained how his mothers cooking was when he helped her in and when she strapped herself in. "Sounds great Andre I can't wait to try it." she sia with a big smile.
Andre buckled up as Dad started the truck. Unfortunately it wasn't a crew cab-- Andre and Sam were shoulder to shoulder, and Sam was between the two men.
Sammy thought it was funny that she was squished between Andre and his day. She even laughed a little out loud about it. 'This is one way to get to know someone." She said with a smile for she kind of like it.
Sammy had thought the same thing and turned away with her face turning bright red from the memory. She didn't say anything else for the rest of the ride back to his place.
Sammy took his offer on help to get out for she was afraid to hurt her ankle even more. Once out she held onto him for she had almost tipped over to the side a little.
Sammy smiled as he helped her inside and once he said out loud that they had one more mouth to feed she blush. "Hey its just me Ma'am your husband and son invited me for dinner hope that is ok?" She said out loud.
