Midoriya let out a relieved sigh as Nensu formed a wall of ice to separate them from a handful of opponents. He didn't know about the 1-B students, but being separated from Bakugou(who gave him a murderous glare before his face disappeared behind the ice) and his cavalry was a big enough relief for him. He turned to the ones he was stuck with, who stopped for a moment seeing the ice wall form up on the side of the stadium. With Present Mic's voice ringing in the background they sprung back to action, not even bothering to attack others to get the shining jackpot sitting out in the open.
"Guys, we should-"
Before Midoriya could bark out an order a purple ball flew past his head. Shoji, with his arms spread like a shield, charged towards him with Mineta's hair balls and Tsuyu's tongue flying outwards from the small opening he had over his back.
"We should get out of this situation!"
Midoriya finished.

Hiems let out a cool sigh as he saw the ice wall go up. Of course, decreasing opponents was the number one tactic for someone in situation of being targetted by almost everyone in the stadium. He looked up at Shoto, who had the headband on his team. Then at Iida, Yaoyorozu, and Kaminari.
"Anyone got orders than to go for Midoriya?"
He said.

"Knock away the ones that are too easy", Momo suggested to Hiems, having to look around to see the ice wall. "Midoriya has Nensu-san on his side, so we shouldn't charge in straight away", she was really saying this for the younger Todoroki's sake, especially if it's a male coming upon her. She truly didn't know about the strength that Nensu started to develop, since the attack that she and Deku had endured. In her mind, the girl was in critical condition, and putting her in drastic situation was not what Momo wanted, not for her nor the people around her. Plus, as far as she could tell, Endeavor was present, so as long as he kept himself low-key, Loma cannot be easily awoken.

"Knock away the easier ones."
Hiems repeated Yaoyorozu's words. That sounded like a good plan. Even if they didn't have that fortune of a point they could still go up to right below them. Or just eliminate the obstacles to getting Midoriya's headband. As far as they didn't wake Loma up things were going to be fine.
"Sounds like a plan."
He said.

Hatsume's jet boots and jetpack shined at the moment of crisis. Sacrificing one boot that had one of Mineta's hair balls stuck onto, they escaped into the air for a few good seconds to get off the range of the chasing foes, Tokoyami's Dark Shadow on guard from the incoming enemies. Midoriya let out a relieved sigh as he saw his cavalry rise high into the air, trading excited grins with Hatsume. They made it, for now. As they started to lose altitude, Midoriya started to think of their next move. Even if they escaped for now they still had a handful left to deal with, especially Bakugou and the other Todoroki's group.
"We should try to hold on until we run out of time."
He suggested. It was the only plan they had for now.

"We have to at least find a way to get around Nensu-san without dealing with her directly", Momo explained, as they had managed to catch up with Deku's team, after Shoto had managed to freeze the other teams in place. "I hope all of you know why", she expected them to understand, be cautious, and play it safe. All they needed to do was catch Midoriya's ten-million point headband; nothing more.

"I agree. As long as I have known my brother, he won't quit. He's determined, so he will do just about anything to win. I should be able to slow down or repel his attacks to the best of my ability, if he so chooses to use them", Nensu informed Midoriya, whilst having to eye Shoto's team, who were already on their tail. "Tokoyami, I'll join you in defense. If they start to catch onto our maneuvers, I'll be ready to back you up, especially with Kaminari having to be against us", she told her classmate, hoping that by adding more arsenal to their defensive state, their assailants would start to become overwhelmed.

"Oh, right. Can't risk that to happen again."
Hiems answered. Others seemed to realize too- back at the training Nensu's "odd" behavior was shown widely to the whole class. They were lucky to have had only a few of them back then. Something like that happening in a wide opening like this with even more people was just a disaster.
"Man, that's hard. I hate complicated situations."
Kaminari complained.

"My pleasure."
Tokoyami answered Nensu. Dark Shadow rised again in front of him as the cavalry faced Todoroki's group. They couldn't run any further away without giving them a free chance to attack. Even if they went airborne again, having Yaoyorozu on their back wasn't very settling. Then, having Nensu on their side meant Todoroki couldn't charge in so easily. Still, he had to think of the worst. Midoriya gulped as he raised his arms. 'The image of the egg not exploding...' he told himself.

Nensu watched her brother's group before them, who've just managed to trap them into a corner, after blocking the other teams from reaching them with an ice wall. It was clear that they were reluctant, almost nearly hesitating to go forward. There was no doubt on her mind that Midoriya was being very clever in his thinking, and obviously thinking his way through conflicts, almost constantly. They've managed to get this far into the competition, but now, was the stand-off; the moment to do-or-die. But she knew that they will get through, and stay on top. As long as Loma doesn't arise, she herself will be able to get through this, unlike how she thought, the previous day. But then it was the same green-haired teenager who gave her confidence to still be here, and reach her dream to help people.

The thought made Nensu actually glance up at him for a moment, before looking at the team before her. But, by the time she did, there was a blur. Her brother reached out, and took the bandanna from him, at such an incredible speed. "Deku!", the female Todoroki gasped in surprise.

Hiems blinked. He blinked again. He obviously missed Iida's warning and almost let go of Todoroki, breaking the cavalry. Luckily he didn't. He gripped hard and he stayed calm. Still, his lazy empty gaze was dumbfounded for a moment as Iida activated a momentary super speed with his engines. 'Well, that was fast.' He thought to himself. Then a cheer erupted from the audience. Hiems didn't bother to look at the scoreboard, but knew something happened. Probably something about Todoroki taking that headband.

Midoriya froze in confusion for a moment. What was that? He never knew they had a way of moving so fast. He was completely dumbfounded, took off guard by a secret weapon that one of the cavalry had hidden up their sleeve. And the only headband he had was in their hand.
"THIRTY SECONDS LEFT!"
Present Mic yelled out in just the right timing. Midoriya pushed himself to recover fast. They were locked in the ice walls with each other. He had no headband left to defend. The only choice was to attack and reclaim the headband, no matter what. For once he had to use his quirk. Midoriya gulped as he stared into Todoroki. This was a risky plan.
"...we should try attacking, take back the headband. It wil be one chance for us."
He said.

It was all that happened in a rush. Iida clearly had something planned that they, and even his own team, were completely unaware of. Present Mic's booming voice had snapped her out of her thoughts, and she looked up at the green-haired teen, and noticed him attempting to use his quirk. "Wait! If we charge now, Kaminari can still catch us off guard!", she advised, but then his own suggestion got her thinking. What choice did they have? They only had thirty seconds left on the clock, and their headband was now in the male Todoroki's keeping. She thought the idea over before nodding in determination. "You're right. We can do this! But we only get one window of an opportunity. Let's win this thing", the coloring-differing, long-haired girl smiled in confidence as she eyed the many bandannas around her brother's neck.

The situation, and plan, however, wasn't going to last long, since a team seemed to be approaching them: Bakugou's group!

She was right, they had one chance. To answer to All Might's offer, to let the world know that he, Midoriya, has arrived. And if they let go of this chance they had to wait a year-which was a risk he was not willing to take. Midoriya took a deep breath and stared forward at the Todoroki boy. Here he went.
"Let's go!"
He yelled, signalling the cavalry to charge. Midoriya raised his arm. 'The image of an egg not exploding...' he thought.

Hiems sighed at the sound of an explosion knocking at the ice wall. It could manage a few more hits, but having an angry opponent wasn't the best situation he could be in.
"They're coming!"
Kaminari yelled.
"Lets go too then. Iida, can you move?"
Hiems said. Iida nodded.
"At least until the match ends."
He said.

Nensu eyed her brother, before looking back up to Midoriya, who was just powering up his quirk, and getting ready to use it. She wasn't sure whether if it was a good idea, but they didn't have a choice in the matter. They had to win this competition, and this was the only chance they had to do so. The female Todoroki was confident that their headband would be on the top, so once Deku was able to give them an opening, Nensu reached up, and took one of the headbands, having to hope that what she took was the ten-million points. But, by the time, she opened her hand, she paled.

The male Todoroki looked back as the two cavalries stopped on opposite ends. A short moment of silence passed before he opened his mouth.
"As I thought."
He said.
"I expected you to think that I'd keep the latest catch on the top. So I changed the orders and hid the scores from your view."
The headband in Nensu's hand was definitely not the jackpot, and neither was it worth going up the ranks. When Midoriya was about to suggest another strike, Present Mic's voice boomed through the stadium.
"TIME OOOOOUUUUUUT!"
Bakugou, who just smashed the ice wall and was flying midair, crashed right to the floor face first.

The students disassembled their cavalry. Though it was less than ten minutes, it felt like hours for Midoriya. Hours of hard fight, once when he could control One for All safely, and all of that gone to nothing. Midoriya turned to his teammates. They've trusted him to the end, following his plans. Yet he failed them.
"I'm sorry guys."
He said.

"Midoriya."
Tokoyami called him.
"It's not what we were aiming for, but we still made it."
"Huh?"
Midoriya gave him a confused look.
"At the last moment, I was able to find an opening in their defense. It's not the ten million points, but it's still worth it."
Dark Shadow had a headband on its mouth, and summing it with the one Nensu snatched, Midoriya's cavalry had the second place within the ranks. Midoriya burst into gigantic waves of tears, almost planting himself to the ground.
"THANK YOU SO MUCH!"
He cried.

Hiems sheugged as he saw the ranking. Midoriya's team still managed to make it. It was almost as if he had a charm of luck all the time.
"This is gonna be fun."
He muttered.
"The next one was probably one on one's, huh?"
Then he thought of being matched with one of the Todoroki's.
Not really fun.

Tokoyami’s reveal had Midoriya leaking way too many happy tears, but it gave Nensu a rather happy reaction, having to exchange high-fives with Uraraka, and unknowingly give the green-haired teen a hug from behind. She didn’t know why she did it, but the girl found it to be a reflex due to the really-high feelings of triumph. In fear that it would be too much for him, Nensu let go of him, as quickly as she could.
Maybe they were an indispensable team; maybe they would work well together once they were fully-developed. Who knows? These thoughts were going through her mind, it felt as if Nensu could see the future!

“Yep”, Momo confirmed to Heim’s guess, glancing at him, before looking at Shoto.

Before the Sports Festival continued, the students and the guests were given a lunch break, as they were reaching lunchtime after the exciting morning events. The students were guided to the school cafeteria as usual, along with the cheerleaders who were invited from the US itself. Two specific 1-A boys eyed them rather 'unsoundly'. The two seemed to be plotting some things that definitely wasn't quite heroic. Hiems gave them an empty glance and turned to his classmates. Midoriya still had his limbs intact, which was good. The boy seemed to break an arm or two every time something happened, give or take some fingers. The other ones were fine too, though the ones, including him, that were supposed to do the 1 on 1 battles afternoon seemed a bit nervous about it. 'Of course you should be.' He told himself. It was an actual fight, no costumes to aid them, with no help. A true ground to test their skills.

Midoriya took a deep breath. He could control One for All again, but with a bit of luck this time. It wasn't a direct hit this time(if it was things would've been a lot painful). Still, it was a bit of a progress. He couldn't hide the nervousness of the incoming battles he'd have to face. One on one situations that he might be forced to use his quirk. He'd have to save it, go on as much as he could without it. He had to get control of his quirk fast, to answer to All Might's trust.
"Nervous?"
Hiems said from behind him. Midoriya had to stop himself from screaming out loud, and slowly turned to face the boy. The green eyes met a pair of blue eyes staring back with an empty, mindless stare. Midoriya wondered how he could maintain such an expression at most time.
"Y...yeah, I guess. I made it all the way here by luck after all."
"Hmmmph."
Hiems hardly showed any response and took his sit next to the boy and started eating his lunch.

Her smile dissipated at the announcement for one-and-one battles, Nensu had to admit that she found herself trnembling at the thought of fighting, either one of her own classmates, or somebody from the other class. This meant that whoever she was going to head-to-head with, meant she would have to risk everybody's wellbeing, if things start to get rough at every corner. Even worse, if what they said was true; that her father was going to be present, she honestly wasn’t sure how long she, and everyone around her, would last. The female Todoroki started stroking one of her upper arms, as if to repress her own anxiety; to keep the beast asleep.
At the lunch break, Nensu kept these thoughts to herself, while having to sit by the window, focusing on her food.

Hiems gave a glance at Nensu with a spoonful of soup heading to his mouth. He then turned to Midoriya, who was obviously following his gaze. The girl was visibly nervous since the announcement of the tournament, and it was too much to miss for the two boys. Even Hiems.

Midoriya flinched when the blue eyes turned to him.
"...wanna go check her?"
"Huh?"
"Someone should."
Hiems swallowed the spoonful of soup. Midoriya looked back at Nensu. She was by herself, concentrating on the food on her tray. Midoriya was awkward and hesitant with girls, but this time he was more than that. He knew why she was nervous, an issue they had known ever since the tag battle. Loma was still inside her, and the tournament seemed just too perfect for a place to set her free.
Midoriya noticed that he entered his mumbling state again, staring at the fish on his tray, when Hiems tapped him on the shoulder.
"I can give you my apple juice for that."
"I...it's okay, thanks."

Midoriya slowly made his way to Nensu as Hirms moved for him, and carefully sat his tray across her.
"Hi."
He said.

Nensu’s thoughts were consuming her so much, she didn’t even realize that Midoriya appeared in front of her. His gesture caused her to almost drop the spoon that was in her hand. “Oh, um, Deku”, she gave a nervous chuckle, as if to reassure him that nothing was out of the ordinary, even though it was clear as day, since she sitting alone, and away from the green-haired, which was almost unlike her.

The girl eventually gave a sigh, and looked down at her lap.
“I’m sure you know what’s coming up next?”

Midoriya nodded.
"Yeah, I do."
He knew what was coming next. He knew she was dreading it. She was dreading Loma, and what she could do out in the open if she was let loose.
"But you held on well after that once she came out. I'm sure you'll be fine."
Midoriya told her. Last time Loma came out was at the tag battle, and thanks to Yaoyorozu she was stopped rather quickly. This time, though she was out in the open, there were pro heroes by their side to help if something happened. But most importantly, even at USJ Loma hardly appeared.
"Besides you had yourself in control. Nothing can go wrong."

Nensu looked down at her lap, listening to Midoriya, before having to take a deep breath.
"It's not Loma herself that I'm afraid of. I'm afraid of the one of whom she hates", she corrected him, having to look up him, and out the window rather worriedly.

"That's just it. How I am able to control myself for this long is rather unusual. Back when the villain attacked us at the fair, I felt her rising, but then, I was able to counter it somehow. It seems rather unlike me to stop her during moments like that", she voiced her thoughts aloud, as if she was willing to hear his opinion.

Midoriya's small smile faded. He had forgotten about Endeavor, the source of all the things Nensu had to go through in the first place. In such a big event like this, there was no way Endeavor was going to miss the fights. That meant she might have to confront him in the middle of the fights. Then... The green haired boy's hands shook weakly. There was no stopping Loma then. Midoriya clenched his fist and moved his gaze back up to the girl again. He wasn't there to despair. He was there to try and help her, or cheer her up at the least. He ran through a list of words in his head. What could he say to her to help her feel better?
"If you could have stopped her once, then you can stop her again."
Midoriya said. If Loma did try to surge up at USJ(and if she did it would have been dangerous over measure for everyone in there) and Nensu could hold her back, maybe there was a way to hold her down after all.
"Even in front of... him."
He told her.
"Loma can't hold you forever."

Maybe he was right on what he said. It showed that he had faith in her for what would lie ahead; that she could overcome the tragedy of what her father had painted upon her family. However, the anxiety was still there, and she wasn't sure whether if she should stand face to face with the man who brought her nothing but pain.
Gently placing her hands on the table, and looking at them - mostly at her left - Nensu internally wondered whether if she would be able to do such a thing; to get over the wall. It was a long way in reaching the top, and the fear of climbing it, was sitting within her mind; has been for these many years.
She clenched her right hand tightly, and began to shake. However, after taking one look at the boy sitting across from her, the girl settled down. "I'm sorry", she said softly. "I'll...I'll use the best that I can, as long as we endure this tournament".
