Alex laughed quietly. "Things have been good. We're taking it slow and steady... You remember what happened last time we rushed things..." he said, referring to the fights that the couple had experienced a few weeks earlier.

"Hmm, yeah. Jay and I haven't had a fight yet. Of course, the moment we get stressed at each other, I just offer him a shoulder rub. Then he's like putty in my paws" Aimee said, smiling.

Alex gave another short laugh. "I had no idea the boy had a soft spot for back rubs!" he joked.

Jay looked down and laughed nervously. He did really enjoy a good back rub.

"Well, we can worry about that later" Aimee said. "I hope you all have a soft spot for dancing as well. It's gonna be a crowded auditorium, just a heads-up."

"Are you sure? I heard there's a party later."

Alex nodded, giving Aimee a smile. "I can't wait to see it!" he said, wrapping an arm around Fae's waist and pulling her next to him.

"Well, either way it will be crowded" Aimee replied. "I need to double-check some details, I guess."

"So I... can't bring the sign?" Fae joked.

"Sign?" Jay cocked his head to the side in question.

Fae giggled at the question. "I told her I would make a sign that said 'Go Aimee' in big letters."

"Ha! That's a great idea!" He said, excitement in his voice.

Aimee rolled her eyes at that. "Whatever. Anyway, we're doing any old dance that was originally a wolf dance for battle and... ah... fertility. Now its just for fun."

Alex shrugged. "Oh yeah, thaaaat one." he said sarcastically. "Hey, I'm gonna get a sandwich, you guys want anything?"

"Why don't we all go together and talk?" Jay suggested.

"Good idea" Aimee replied. "So, Jay, you been doing that running thing lately? Parker?" she said, mispronouncing it.

They began walking to the deli counter. Meanwhile, Alex and Fae talked quietly together.

"Yeah, parkour," he corrected, following his friends, "it's really fun, I wish you would try it sometime!"

"I'd like to. But don't expect me to use footwear for it" she added. "Maybe we can visit the planetarium one of these days. I know you like space."

"That'd be great! Wanna go this weekend?" Today was Wednesday, that gave them both time to get some money together.
