[Holly]

"Eh, you were little." They stopped at a stop sign. "I should probably tell y'all a little about myself, huh? Well, the name's Hank, as I said before. You've probably noticed I'm not really like you, right? Well, have any of ya ever met a human before?"

[Holly]

"I'll take your silence as a no. Well, I'm human, and my job is ta help protect critt-" he caught himself, "people like y'all."

Lea kept quiet, unsure of what to do.

[Aristocles]

Aimee turned to Hank. "And just where are we going?"

[Holly]

"Oh! Uh... look, I'm not gonna lie to ya'll. I gotta check you in back at the station so I don't get fired. Then I could probably take ya home."

[Aristocles]

"That's fine" Aimee replied. "We've got to get home soon, you know."

[Holly]

"I'll make sure to go as fast as I can, then." They drove for a bit. "Anyone hungry? There's snacks in the glove compartment, over by Lea." He hoped they would enjoy these treats he'd paid for himself. He knew how to feed cats, and even the occasional fox. He believed he could feed Jay and Aimee, too, if they didn't mind a bit of kibble and bits.

[Aristocles]

"I'll wait until I get home before eating" Aimee explained.

[Holly]

"How about you two back thar?" He called back to Jay and Alex.
"Sure, I'll take some food!" Jay replied. He'd hoped that was what Hank had asked. It was kinda hard to hear with all this wind in his ears.

Rachel looked at Hank uncertainly, "What do you have?"

[Holly]

"Well, for you, I think there's half a squirrell left," he said. He motioned towards Fae, "There may even be a mouse left."

"What have you got for me?" Jay asked, poking his snout inside the truck.

"Nothing particularly fresh," Hank said, "But I'll give you a choice: Bacon strips, or dry food?"

What does he think I am, a dog? Please. "Uhh... Bacon strips, I guess..." he felt a little embarrased at having to eat this pet food, but he was famished.

Rachel wrinkled her nose, "I don't eat squirrel. Do you possibly have a ham and cheese sandwich?" She asked. Gosh, humans eat weird things she thought to herself.

[Holly]

"Can't say I do..." Hank said. I've never heard of a fox turning down a squirrel, he thought to himself.
