Nensu never thought that she would receive a large amount of offices that would love to intern her, given that her quirk was one of the most-powerful within her class. It was quite hard to decide on just the right one. What brought her out of her thoughts, was the voice of Midoriya beside her.
"Hmm? Oh. I have quite a list in my hand, but then I remembered Miss Midnight's personal offer, shortly after the Sports Festival".
It was quite an interesting thing to receive attention from the city's Rated-R Pro Hero. She could only wonder as to why she would pick Nensu, as if she was a special case. Well, if anybody looked beyond, she kind of was.
"What about you?"

"I have.... one."
Midoriya said, looking down at his paper. Sure, nobody would be eager to offer a place to someone who could hardly control their quirk and break a finger or two with each devastating shot. Compared to him Nensu was much more of a hero with potential. He weakly clenched his hand. He went out to the Sports Festival with expectations to make a bang. He had spent time to train just to get One for All, and even now he saw a long road ahead of him to take control of it. Only twice did he succeeded.
"I don't know who it is, but hopefully It'll be a good experience."

---

The whole city seemed to be in chaos. There were visible red lights flickering from places, showing evident signs of fire out in the open. Midoriya gritted his teeth and jumped from rooftop to rooftop, utilizing his newly achieved Full Cowl technique. His body was feeling much more stronger and faster, now that he wasn't using One for All in an inefficient way. The teen's eyes darted from alleyway to another. If what he saw was correct, Stain was in this city too, and there was a high chance he'd be acting in all this chaos. Not soon after, he spotted the villain in a remote alleyway. His worst concerns came true- a hero was sitting in the corner, and Iida was confronting Stain. Without hesitation, Midoriya jumped in to help. He landed in for a sneak attack, but Stain dodged easily, swiftly moving out of the way before his fist could hit him.

Nensu smiled softly at the other teen, mainly to reassure and encourage him that everything was going to be okay, and that she believed that he will enjoy and, possibly receive praise, for how far of a person he has become. Due to learning about his bravery in confronting her other half, she believed that he deserved to be called 'hero'; that he could make it. Whoever he had, he will experience what it means to do great things for the innocent.
"You'll do fine. I think that Pro Hero will teach you something you might need to reach your dream".

---

Her experience with Midnight was quite interesting, even though most of it leaned towards feminine confidence, as well as little discussions that involve Nensu's relationship with Midoriya. She was told that Midnight was a lover to gossip, and that a little rumor has spread that she and the green-haired teen were dating. The word had only confused Nensu, but then, after a small chat with Midnight, one evening, she was told that some kind of flame sparked between her and the other teen, ever since their fight during the Festival. Meanwhile, the teenaged girl had certain occasion to wonder, whether or not she was right. Did she really feel something for Midoriya, deep-down? It would explain her protectiveness in matters that concern him, her will to sacrifice victory, as well as her calming temperament whenever his presence was near. However, Nensu couldn't know whether or not if these feelings were even romantic.

These thoughts had continued to linger, as she and Midnight walked into a section of the city, until fire broke out on certain buildings. It forced her and the Pro Heroine to part ways, and try to help some people escape, once the assailants made themselves known: Nomus; only the same yet different to the one back at the USJ. She was able to reach a safe destination, where a child could escape, until she heard a commotion in one of the alleyways. There was Midoriya and an immobile Iida, in front of someone who appeared to be a villain. She didn't know who, but then she launched an ice spike towards the villain, having to strike his cheek, only grazing it.

Stain moved away from the teens' attacks, jumping up and down the narrow alley walls while threatening them with knives shrieking through the air as they narrowly missed them. Stain's moves weren't those of a general street thug- he seemed to have trained for whatever purpose he expected in his acts. That was probably how he took down a professional so easily, not to mention Iida, who was a noticeable speedster of the class.
Midoriya felt a disturbing pressure as he fought the villain. Stain was unexpectedly stronger than how he imagined usual street thugs would be. He was more of a trained fighter, with a supply of throwing knives and a katana. Nensu was having trouble catching him due to his agility, and Midoriya himself was busy dodging the knives he was throwing. If only he could figure out what quirk he had, Midoriya could get a bit of an advantage over the fight.. hopefully.
"What happened?!"
He yelled.
"I got cut by his blade, and then I suddenly can't move!"
Iida replied, his face still facing the floor. 'So they weren't just knocked out, it was Stain's quirk that did it.' Midoriya thought. How he did it, he could only guess for now.

Nensu stood in front of the defenseless Iida, merely to get him from taking any further damage, made by this mysterious Villain. Was this the reported ‘Hero Killer’ that she heard over the news?
‘What distinguished him as the Hero Killer?’
She thought, as she watched the said-individual continue to dodge their attacks. She had learned some new fighting techniques from Midnight, but by eyewitness account, she could already doubt that they would be enough to stand up to Stain. The blades continued to come flying in her direction, and she could only protect herself by using her ice to stop them, but not all of them. One managed to graze her arm, and it could brought the thumping back into her head.
’Not now. Not now!’

Midoriya turned to Nensu as she got hit, and a sudden thought struck his mind. Loma. She won't have the time to calm herself down in a battle like this-and if Loma was let loose there would be more than another Hero Killer kill count on the first page of the newspaper. He had to make a choice, a risky choice, even if he had to get himself hurt. 'Calming Todoroki-san would give us a possible chance to fight back good, but it might have me under Stain's quirk for the time being.' He thought. But there was no reason not to. He'd figure out what to watch out for, and with Nensu's quirk earning time until they could recover was easy.
"Watch out!"
Midoriya pushed himself off the ground and tackled Nensu. The Katana's blade narrowly missed the girl, and instead cut Midoriya's arm. Midoriya winced in pain, but managed to pull the strength to pull him and Nensu out of Stain's range before he slashed his blade again. He put Nensu down on the floor, and tried to start moving again when he felt his body lose control. Before he fell flat against the floor he saw Stain lick his blade.
"It was blood..."
He muttered and grunted as he felt the concrete against his body.

The thumping in her head was becoming constant, and it was getting heavier, by the time she let her concentration go from her hold on the ice. She closed her eyes, and tried to will the pain to go away, but then, there was a sudden shove, just in time to see Midoriya move her out of the way of Stain’s katana, which caused the pain to dissapear completely.
‘These blades...he’s just so fast’.
She thought, as she watched him advance upon both her and Midoriya, who was able to move away, with speed she hadn’t noticed before. Has he reached an improvement on his quirk?
Nensu could not keep thinking questions, because she saw the cut that Stain had managed to inflict on Midoriya, which caused her to gasp. “Midoriya!”, worry filled her, by the time she was able to get on her feet, and look upon the Hero Killer and his many blades.
‘He must have the ability to paralyze someone by tasting their blood’
Unknown to her, the other teen was having the same thought. Both of her classmates were immobile and defenseless, with Nensu standing on her own against someone who was a professional assassin.

Spotting one of his blades on the ground, Nensu used her strength to pick it up, and allow her right arm to freeze over, in order to block and prevent his katana, or any or his blades, from hitting her flesh, as she swung the blade in her other hand, in his direction. She didn’t know how to professionally fight with a blade, but she poured all of her strength into defending her friends and classmates.

Stain did not bother to smirk at the girl's desperate attempt to threaten him with the knife he chucked at the teens. Three of them were down, and the last one had a threatening quirk of ice and fire, but he had no problem dodging them. Besides, he had more than them to deal with tonight.

"Step back!"
A wave of ice grew from behind the girl and charged at Stain. The killer jumped back and sliced off the portion of the last pillar of ice. Shoto shot a burst of flames at him as the boy walked over to Nensu.
"Are you guys alright?"
He said. From afar Stain growled, anmoyed by the increase of the number.

Before Nensu could even attack again, a wave of ice flew over her, and towards their assailant. Probably out of all of the villains they have faced so far, Stain was perhaps the most-dangerous, considering that his fighting style wasn’t just one, but many. She turned around to see her older brother come to their rescue.
“Sort of. We have to be diligent; Stain has the ability to paralyze anyone, just by tasting their blood. We need to create some distance between us and him, until help arrives”.
She suggested, before dropping the dagger that was in her hand.

"...fine."
Shoto said, and continued fending off the killer. Shots of ice threatened him, but couldn't completely keep him at bay. Stain managed to find an opening in the barrage and threw a volley of knives at them. Missing the right timing to guard, Shoto stood and took the shot. Two knives landed on his arm, and he let out a grunt.
"You didn't have to come here and help me! This was supposed to be my fight!"
Iida protested from the floor.

Nensu could only pass off as much flame as she could deliver, in order to keep Stain away. She didn't know exactly how long they should be able to hold off the Hero Killer, but based on the villain's ability to dodge some of their strikes, there was a possibility that they won't be able to defend themselves for long. She could only mentally pray that help would come for them soon. The cut she just recently received was still fresh, and the girl had to only give quiet winces from time to time, every time she decided to perform an attack. Her right arm was starting to shake from overuse, so Nensu was forced to redirect herself in using as much flame as she could.
"Why do you think you enrolled at this school, Iida-san?!"
The girl shouted back at her fellow classmate, as she continued to keep her flames trained on Stain's proximity.
"What made you want to become a hero? To help people and continue your brother's legacy, right?"
Nensu looked back at the immobile teen, with sympathy yet fierceness in her eyes.
"Revenge is just not the way to go. If you take this route, you'll lean towards the darkness and corruption of justice and heroism. Trust me, don’t put red on your brother's ledger. Iida, he would want you to put this man away, for the sake of the people, not for your own selfish desires".
She could only hope that her words of wisdom would clear his thoughts.

Iida could do nothing but listen to what his friends yelled at him. Stain's quirk was yet to wear off of him- but it also gave him time to calm down his heart. Think through what he was trying to do. Nensu's words struck his heart. He was shook by his emotions. It blinded him from what the title Ingenium meant-how his brother wanted him to continue on with the name. Tears dropped down his face.
"...thank you."
He said.

"I can't hold him back, can you move yet?!"
Shoto yelled. Ever since he started fending the villain off, he took more than a couple of knives- there were scratches on his arms, legs and torso. It was hard dodging the knives when he had three people immobile on the floor to protect.
Just then, Stain found another opening and threw a knife- this time at Midoriya, who was in a distance too far for Shoto to react in time. But to his surprise, Midoriya stood up in time and dodged the knife. The blade clanged against the concrete floor and landed on the ground clean. Stain's eyes widened.
"Damn his blood type..."
He muttered. Midoriya stood up, back in action.

Nensu smiled softly at Iida, but the fierceness never left her eyes, just knowing that their class rep. would want to do something right, and follow his dream and purpose as the hero Ingenium.
“Your brother believed in you, and he would want you to fight! You are Ingenium; you have what it takes, you can do this!”
As long as she passed her words of encouragement, her attention wasn’t fully on their assailant, and a blade struck her shoulder; due to the speed of it being thrown, it caused her to gasp, stumble on the spot, and fall completely on the ground, momentarily blacking our from the Hero Killer’s attack. With that, her fires stopped, letting down one of their elemental defenses.

“Nensu!”
“Todoroki san!”
Shoto and Midoriya shouted in unison as Nensu took a knife on her shoulder and sttumbled to the ground. With one of the Todorokis down, there was more openings for Stain to attack them. There was no time to waste now- there were more than one injured person. It didn’t matter if they had to stand until help came. Seeing Iida slowly stand up in the distance, Midoriya bit his lips. They locked eyes, and nodded. This was going to be a tricky shot.
“Todoroki-kun, freeze a portion of my legs for me!”
“What?”
“My cooling parts are damaged, so I’ll need your ice to cool down.”
Todoroki carefully covered Iida’s legs with his ice, making sure the engines weren’t blocked. Iida lowered himself, and leaned forward as his engines charged up. All he needed now were his legs.

Midoriya and Stain brawled in the small alley, kicking against walls while attacking and dodging. They gained height as they continuously kicked over the walls. Soon enough, the timing came. Stain lost speed midair, and went still for a split second. The two boys didn’t miss the chance, and jumped forward. A fist landed on the killer’s face, and a leg on his chest. Iida and Midoriya landed down while the lump body of the villain crashed down to the alleyway.
They did it.

Nensu was out for only a good amount of time, but then she slowly opened her eyes, and managed to see the male trio deliver a finishing blow upon the villain.
’Iida-san...he did it. We did it’
She thought, as the female student struggled to smile, as she fought against the pain striking throughout her shoulder. The blade managed to pierce halfway into her, and a single movement brought the pain shooting through her body.
The female whimpered at the reaction.

After making sure Stain was knocked out for good, Midoriya ran over to Nensu. His eyes fixed on the knife sticking out of her shoulder. He couldn't imagine how much pain she would be in- they had to get help fast. Shoto came closer to help the girl up.
"Are you alright?"
Midoriya said, his voice and eyes apparently shaky.
"Let's get you to a hospital. There should be heroes coming any time now..."
Shoto carefully reached for his sister and pulled her up.
Conveniently, they heard voices coming from the entrance of the alley. A small group of heroes-seemingly mid to low ranking, average heroes- walked in.
"Iida! You're here! Don't wander off like th... is that the hero killer?!"
One of them said. Obviously, it was the one who Iids was interning under-probably just because he seemed to have his office in the area of Stain's activity. The heroes hurried to tie up Stain and help Nensu up.
"Alright, let's get you kids patched up."

Nensu was trying her hardest to, at least, sit up, and pull herself up, but then the blade had struck the nerves within her right arm, preventing her from moving that said-arm, making the task all-the-more difficult. The pain was shooting through the right side of her body, nearly leaving her to feel absolute numbness; she trembled and her face continued to show that pain and discomfort.
Hearing Midoriya’s voice, Nensu looked at him to the best of her ability. He was shaking, meaning that he was clearly worried, or trying to hold back his emotions. She wanted to reassure him, but then, having to be in this unsettling state, it was going to be a bit hard to convince him that she was fine.
She was carefully helped by her brother, until they managed to follow the voices in the distance.
“Ow. Ouch”.
Was all she said, as they were assisted by the additional hands of the heroes.

The heroes took on Nensu, carefully carrying her as they exitted the alleyway. Midoriya kept his eye on Nensu, flinching as she let out grunts of pain.
"D...don't say anything, just stay still until we get to the hos-"
A nomu with wings soared down to the group and snatched Midoriya away. Nobody could react to the sudden strike, and Midoriya himself stayed dumbfounded as he felt his body lift into the air. The heroes watched helplessly as Midoriya was taken away to the distance, until a figure moved between them. Stain's tongue reached for the drop of blood Nomu spilled on a hero, and lunged into the air as the abomination crashed to the ground. A blade entered its head, clearly marking its death when it did not seem to react at all.
"For... the society..."
Stain muttered under his breath as Midoriya scrambled to his feet. He was still conscious after that much beating? Just how inhuman was he?

"Stand down!"
From a distance, Endeavor and Gran Torino joined forces-probably after Shoto and Midoriya-, which only seemed to worsen Stain's madness. A murderous aura poured out from him when his eyes landed on Endeavor. None of the heroes at the scene could dare move as Stain pulled himself up from the ground, still heavily breathing.
"You... fakes..."
He raised the knife in his hand and pointed at the group.
"Someone must... shed blood... bring back the hero....
"Bring it on, pretenders! The only one who can kill me is thr true hero All Might and him only!"
And the killer stopped. He stood still, long enough until they figured out that the man passed out on his feet. Midoriya slowly walked back to the others while the heroes approached the Hero Killer once again, making sure he was out for good.

Nensu was in so much pain, she couldn’t make the right expression, once she witnessed, with blurry vision, Midoriya being scooped up by a Nomu. By the time that happened, she lost consciousness, and never recollected on what happened beyond that. Even at the hospital, the doctors informed the other teens that she was very lucky to be alive after the attack; she could have lost a lot of blood; not to mention that she had bumped her head while falling, and that the nerves in her right arm were impacted, and was in great need of recovery after the removal of the blade.
She remained unconscious for the next few hours, until the female teen had finally managed to awaken, the next day. She was told to go slow, and not move her right arm at its entirety.

“Heyyy. She’s up.”
A voice, a bit with a mechanical noise mixed with it, sounded from out of Nensu’s field of view. Not long after, a green haired head popped in to her sights. In the boy’s hand was his phone, on video chat showing someone wrapped in rolls of bandages and chunks of cast. Most of his outer looks were obscured- but his blue lazy eyes gave away that it was her classmate, Hiems(unless she couldn’t recognize the iconic gaze, that was). Hiems tried to wave, but instead moved his hand slightly and blinked.

Midoriyacould lie down and cry now. Nensu was finally awake, after the long fight they had to take the last night. It was a breathtaking, new experience-giving a note that the world of the professionals was not something they could take easy. And that there were much more terrors lurking in the dark than he expected.
“He’s just right next to us, but he couldn’t find a way to move here or bring everyone there. He didn’t want to wake you up in your rest.”
Midoriya said. He eyed for her shoulder, which was now treated and was to be left alone.
“...are you okay?”
