With her fists curled, Lorelei quickly reached for one of her blades.

“I worked hard and I will bask in my work. Do you not notice the intricate weaving beneath you? What is your sin exactly, or is everyone here a selfish prick?”

Lorelei turns back to Auriole, frowning. “Maybe we could skin him and eat him?” It was a joke but she felt the need for defense-always.

Auriole frowns and growls softly, something animalistic flashing in her eyes for a moment. “Stop it! Elias, quit being selfish! I don’t care if that’s what your known for, but Lorelei was the one to be so kind as to pitch the tents up herself for us, so she has a very good reason to think that she has the right to whatever spot she picks! I don’t care if you pick a fight with me, just leave her alone!” Auriole’s face is red as she yells, but the timidity is gone.

Elias's face doesn't have emotion" you don't know shit about me and I don't care if the sin of pride set up tents the only reason she did it was to further her own ego and make people think the best of her . " he says and grabs his bedroll" besides gluttony is over indulgence not selfishness I just don't like when someone takes my rightful things. " he says then stalks off into the forest

Lorelei watches the confrontation, eyes thoughtful. Auriole had fire in her, Lorelei could appreciate that.

Everybody’s sins involved being selfish, didn’t they?-she thinks. It was always about themselves & what served them.

“I think us women should team up & leave the guys to their own devices,” Lorelei shrugs, loud enough for nearly everyone to hear. “We clearly have the superior survival skills.”

Elias walks deep into the forest breathing heavily and lays out his bedroll then pulls out his journal/makeshift spell book..laying down he begins to read it brushing up on spells he had learned and was surprised when he saw new spells . Realizing it was in the old man's sprawling writing he growled. " just salt in the wound huh old man first you give me immense power then give me secret spells that costed me my village. " even after saying this though his thirst for knowledge wins and he reads them.

Auriole huffs a little. Lorelei clearly has no idea that Auriole had lived in the wilderness all of her life and could easily survive on her own, but it’s for the best, she convinced herself.

Auriole sighs and gets up, feeling uncomfortable with the group being separated. She goes to the woods where she saw Elias disappear, and shifts into her beastgirl form so she wouldn’t be recognized, summoning the anger that had boiled in her veins earlier. She smiles a little, satisfied that Elias is asleep and safe.

Lorelei gets barely a response which definitely wasn’t what she was expecting. A female power grip was something Lorelei had always dreamed of.. but maybe that wasn’t something to accomplish here.

She returns to her woven mat, satisfied with the empty space left to be claimed. She wouldn’t sleep, out of precedent, but she could rest.

Everyone seemed rather.. mysterious, short to temper, ticking time bombs. How could this ever work? What was the king thinking?

Somehow, she had to scramble this crew together-with her as leader of course.

She rests her head on her palms, staring up at the sky through the branches. Things weren’t even close to looking up for her. Any and all distraction gone she felt the wrenching of her heart return as she winced.
