It’s too dark for you to see anything. There’s some dimlight due to the trogs and kobolds setting some stuff on fire but there’s nothing within view, not even cover. Act fast, before the enemy noticed you’re team! You could try a stealth check to sneak by unnoticed, or perhaps a plain athletics check to run as fast as you can around an hopefully find it manually. Feel free to try any other check if you feel it’s relevant, however you cannot do another perception Check at this time.

Kind of the opposite effect. The crocodile was already leaving to provide a distraction, so the fact you’re following it just allows the trogs to notice you’re there. While most are still shooting at the croc, one takes a shot at you.

17 to hit. Fortunately you had the crocodile as partial cover, so your AC is effectively a 19. Still they see you and will be making more of an effort to target you as the rest of your team tries to stay nearby and find that passage, what do you do?

Hmmm...OK...

Can I try and use a Survival check to find clues that would lead us to the passage, and then an Athletics Check to run in that direction?

Certainly, roll again. That will be your advantage roll. That being said, you're still being fired upon.

Fortunately a 9 will miss you clearly, but you definitely know they're trying to shoot you.

I don’t suppose I can try Investigation or any other check to find the passage? ‘Cause the only other idea I have might count as potentially suicidal (using satyr stance to run up the trog’s wall and fight/get the gate open there while my friends remain behind the crocodile).

You may try. That being said you'll once more be shot at again as you investigate. You will had advantage as Shortfang will risk going out and trying to be your eyes, since Pylia doesn't have darkvision and Buddy can't talk to you.

Cool.

The defenders shoot at you for 19. Even with cover that'll still hit you. That being said, Shortfang was ready for this and took the shot for you. He'll be taking 17 points of damage.

The passage is about 50 feet away from where you're currently at. There is no cover and the passage looks barely big enough to fit Buddy, but it can certainly fit you, Pylia, and Shortfang. The crocodile and it's rider are moving away from it however, since they don't know it's there, so you'll need to start running now, and you will be fired upon one more time as it happens.

You don't need to spend a Ki to Deflect, only to throw it back, which you may need to do.

Fortunately you don't, as the enemy rolls a 10. Buddy gets hit by a balista with a 20 and takes 21 points of damage. Pylia manages to barely avoid taking any damage as a balista hits the ground near her for 17, and Shortfang avoids a shot with a 13.

Your team will make it to the passage safely, though Buddy has a large gash across his chest where the balista slammed into him. Pylia will heal him for 9 using a cure wounds spell, while Buddy himself suddenly began to repair himself for the rest of the 12. You and Shortfang are currently looking down the passage, which is very narrow but still spacious enough to move through. Go ahead and post all of this exciting stuff happen!
