Lochila Laufeysdottir

Lochila has been thinking about it all night, and they continued their cycle, as she looked in the mirror that following morning. As far as she was concerned, Torunn was still asleep in the master bed during the seventh hour, and the goddess figured that once she was up, she was up. Dressed, the woman walked out into the main room, and became internally thankful that the lightning didn't create an explosion out of the lookout window nearby. But, she didn't expect the blonde to be up before her. Lochila considered that Torunn could get as much rest as she needed after leaving high-school, but she didn't expect her to be up early. Not at this day and age. Seeing the girl appear so troubled, Lochila knew that she had to tell her. No secrets, or lies, this time.

Approaching the blonde, who stood by the huge window, Lochila towered over her, before giving her a sad smile, and engulfing Torunn in her arms, really to reassure her. This unique bond they had as mother and daughter was different to a typical relationship between any parent and their child. It was a special one yet to be seen. But, if anything, despite what anybody says, Lochila would do anything to keep Torunn safe and happy. As long as the girl was happy, the goddess would feel her sentence becoming a whole lot easier. In addition, she didn't anticipate herself to become very close with the blonde, on a personal level. "Would you like to take a walk with me?", the black-haired woman asked, before releasing her. "Coffee?", she added.

They led themselves out of the penthouse, and onto the sidewalk within the busy city. It was early in the morning, with hardly any people in sight, probably due to the same emergency broadcast from the day before. There was barely anybody out, except for a few of the homeless, and a few joggers; not to mention that the few cars were of no surprise. Picking up a French-vanilla cappuccino for herself, and a beverage of Torunn's choice, the goddess led the girl into the park, being about five minutes away from the coffee shop.

Torunn Thorsdottir

Torunn jumped slightly she wasn't expecting Lochila to be up already, she didn't even hear the master bedroom door open at all but when she realized that it was just her mother she gave her a soft smile and returned it. Torunn thought for a moment, a walk would certainly do her a lot of good, she needed a little bit of fresh air. The little light show from the night before was still fresh in her mind and nodded towards Lochila. "Sounds like a plan to me." Torunn smiled towards her mother and started to grab her own things and followed Lochila out of the penthouse and made their way down to ground level.

Torunn looked up at the sky seeing that there was an overcast outside, but it hadn't rained like it had yesterday which was a good thing, Torunn had her hands in her pocket the entire time as she walked alongside her mother. "I'll have an iced coffee please." Torunn said towards Lochila once they had gotten their coffee. They walked into Central Park she always enjoyed walking in the park even when she was younger she always thought that it was very beautiful.

"So what are your plans for today?" Torunn asked as she looked up to her mother as she took a sip from the coffee, she enjoyed her ice coffee quiet a bit actually as they walked together. She noticed a few homeless people along the sidewalk and a few joggers as well, Torunn looked at an elderly woman feeling a little bit bad for her, and pulled out a ten dollar bill out of her own purse and handed it over towards her. Seeing the woman brighten up as she pocketed the money, she always did her best to tend to the people who were less fortunate than she was.

Lochila took a sip of her cappuccino, just before she heard the voice of the golden girl who walked beside her. Truth be told, on the inside, the goddess was fearful to tell her the truth, but she knew that, sooner or later, Torunn would come demanding for answers. So, Lochila had to build the truth, and tell her now. Besides, she couldn't continue lying; she wasn't her brother. "Listen, Torunn", she sighed.
"I haven't...been completely honest with you", she finally said, after a long moment of silence. The black-haired woman looked to the side for a moment, as they continued to walk down the asphalted path. "The bulbs from last night, weren't from a natural cause. It was done by something far more...otherworldly", the woman paused before adding in a more appropriate word to describe such an experience.

"You may not believe me, but...", she paused once again, and this time, she stopped walking. Her emerald green eyes trailed back up to her. "You made them explode last night. A hidden power well-deep within you; it has just been unleashed", before she could say more, thunder came, and gray clouds began to cover the morning sky. It was strange; first, it was nice dusky morning ray of sun, the next, an overcast.

Thunder came again, and a flash appeared behind the clouds, then another. What is my brother trying to say? The goddess wondered, until she spotted a group of people ahead of them. Lochila approached the small crowd, and once she managed to break through, she was left aghast. A man in his thirties was trying to pick it up, but the object didn't budge. It was some kind of sword, appearing to have a silver blade, and a golden holster. The crater was huge with the blade piercing into the ground. As the two females stood there, lightning continued to flash in the sky.

Torunn looked over at Lochila and stopped for a moment as she started to speak, she looked very confused Torunn couldn't help but feel very upset that she had been lied to. "What do you mean?" Torunn asked as she stared at her mother with a confused stare as she stopped and could see a crowd there. But that could wait for now, as Lochila continued to speak the lights were caused by her all along, she was led to believe that the storm had caused it. "What else aren't you telling me?" Torunn then asked, as her attention turned towards the sky as she watched the clouds suddenly become an overcast day. She also could hear thunder as well which made Torunn wonder if it was something that she was causing now as well?

Torunn followed her mother towards the crowd, her curiosity getting the better of her the moment she followed Lochilia towards the front of the crowd. She stopped and stared down at the massive crater that was now in the middle of the park seeing some middle aged men there she stared at what was at the center of it. Torunn stared at the sword that stuck out in the center of the ground, she did feel very drawn towards it and then looked over at her mother. "What is going on exactly?" She really wanted answers right now.

Everything felt like her whole world was getting tossed around, first her mother telling her that she caused the lights to explode back at the apartment. There was also the freak storms going off, along with the crater now in Central Park, she started to wonder what else was being held from her. "What is that?" Torunn asked sounding very confused.

Lochila looked at the girl with her green eyes, but then stayed quiet, once she heard Torunn begin to demand answers from her. She was trying to find the right words to say to her, but couldn't necessarily find the right ones that would explain the situation. Trying to explain about something that has been passed from human knowledge was difficult, and the way that certain circumstances are making themselves known, the goddess stayed quiet, not corresponding with how Torunn was trying to understand. Having to look down at the sword, Lochila then looked back up towards the sky, where the thunder and lightening had made itself known.

"You want answers, child? Lift that out of the crater, and all will be made clear", the goddess knew she couldn't pull it herself, even after figuring out that the artifact wasn't meant for her; it was her brother's way of saying that, from all of the crazy storms. Understandably, it must have fell the same day after the lightbulbs in the apartment shattered.

Torunn Thorsdottir

Torunn looked at Lochila for a moment and then at the crowd below some of them were all still trying to pull the sword out from the crater that it had created. Something just seemed off about everything, as she waited for a bit wondering what her mother's words meant, she also felt a bit drawn to it as well. "Alright then I guess.." Torunn said as she started to head down into the crater as the group of mainly guys as they stopped and stared at her for a moment. The current guy at the front of the line, he tried to pull it out only to have his hands smack right into his face, giving him a bloody nose.

After several other guys failed eventually it was Torunn's turn looking up at Lochila and then got herself ready a guy stood behind her who was several times her height and was really buff. "Hurry up little lady." He said impatiently which made Torunn glare at him with an irritated look. Eventually Torunn grabbed onto the handle, and started to surprisingly pull it out with a bit of ease as well as the blade eventually was pulled out from the ground.

Torunn took a step back looking up at the sky as she could hear thunder and lightening go off, and then she eyed the sword in her hand, then she started to hear the signs of a Quinjet flying overhead as it started to come to land a couple feet away.

Lochila Laufeysdottir

Lochila was quite convinced that the artifact, piercing into the ground, was meant to be in Torunn's hands. The storms; the seemingly-heavy object that people cannot lift. It was a language that she was all-too familiar with; a very-similar scenario that Thor has gone through during his temporary banishment to the same realm. It became too much of a coincidence. She gave a glare at the man who was too impatient for the blonde to have her turn, but she watched her nonetheless. The wind's speed started to pick up, by the time she put a grip on the handle, and started pulling.

The thunder got louder by the time the sword was pulled completely out of the ground, and lightning began to flash much more frequently. Lochila felt her hair blowing in the wind, and she carefully made her way to the center of the crater, where the girl was standing. Looking from the object in Torunn's hand, to her face, she began to say something, but before she could, the sounds of a Quinjet sounded nearby, before noticing a few SUVs approaching the crater. A boom echoed in the sky, and the dark-haired woman looked up, and she saw a light. Gaping her lips, just slightly, in realization, she put an arm around the girl's waist, clinging her close. "Hold on!", she told her, shortly before a bright light came shooting down, and surrounded the two of them.

They were then shot up, leaving a blur, as well as a giant symbol on the ground, once the light disappeared.

Torunn noticed as the wind started to pick up rather quickly as her blonde hair whipped against her face a bit more as the thunder and lightening became much quicker as well. She then could hear cars driving rather quickly to the crater as she noticed about five SUVs started to drive up to the edge of a crater. And the Quinjet landing as well started to startle her quiet a bit as Lochila came down to meet her at the crater. "Whats going on mom?" Torunn yelled out rather loudly as the noise became much louder than before as she noticed that there were a number of SHIELD agents approaching the edge.

Then she saw the bright blinding light coming straight down towards her, while she still held the sword in her hand rather tightly as they were then suddenly taken over by the light. Feeling herself suddenly being lifted up high into the sky at a very alarming speed, there was a lot of light of various colors until they were finally they were somewhere else.

Lochila had her gaze to what's ahead of them, while keeping young Torunn in her grip. She knew where this was going, but a question told her as to why. The goddess knew that she was practically banished from Asgard quite permanently, but then, this scenario started to raise questions. One of them, in particular, was: Why now? Could it be about something rather important? Would it have something to do with the sword that Torunn had managed to lift from the Earth? She honestly didn't know. For a moment, Lochila looked down to see the girl in her arms, before looking back to what was ahead. The next thing she saw, was the seemingly familiar platform, before having to land with Torunn on the surface. She took a moment to look around, having to take in the sight of seeing the same gold that has not once been tarnished, since she left. It was, pretty much, still the same.

Carefully removing herself from the girl, the goddess allowed the magical energy of the Asgardian kingdom to surge through her body. It feel so much better in feeling the full-power provided to that of the self-proclaimed gods. The energy allowed her to change her casual outfit into that of her true apparel, along with a dark green cape:

Torunn started to take in the sites as she looked around the weird gold looking dome that was around them, seeing what looked like golden gears around them as well as whatever transported them started to slow down and come to a stop. Then she stopped as her eyes looked over seeing the opening of the dome as she noticed the rainbow looking bridge that connected them from where they were at now to the massive looking city before her. Torunn felt like she recognized it, but she also felt like it was also very foreign to her somehow as well, when she looked over at Lochila.

Seeing the outfit of her mother suddenly changing, and then a cloak over her shoulders as well made her take a step back, she felt disoriented and very confused as to what was going on. "Whats going on?" Torunn asked looking up at her mother having a feeling that this was all a very weird dream. "Where are we?" She asked again looking at the large looking city in front of her in the distance looked magnificent as well.

Lochila Laufeysdottir

Lochila gazed upon the golden palace before her, having her arms outstretched, and smiling at the sight. It was good to be home, but to be summoned at such an early time from her place of punishment (which was, in fact, a long way from an eternity). What made it get cut short? Was this Thor’s doing? Was the bridge malfunctioning? She didn’t know, but having a chat with Thor was needed, in regards to the sword, the storms, and the bridge. Putting her arms down, she turned around to see Torunn backing away, clearly confused and disoriented from the ride.

“Sorry about that. It tends to easily affect first-timers”, the dark-haired woman said, having to approach her, and help her stand. “I did say that everything will be made clear, and so, they are before you as you stand”, Lochila then looked at the sword that was still in the girl’s hand. “You are in Asgard. A kingdom within the stars; above the world of humankind; our true home. As to why we are here, I honestly can’t answer that”, frowning, she looked back at the palace in the distance, before looking back at Torunn, looking over the clothes she was wearing.

”And you certainly can’t walk around looking like that. The people here don’t necessarily trust the ways of mankind. You must blend in. Now don’t move”, she lifted her hands, and a green aura appeared, before the woman blew it upon Torunn, transforming her casual clothes into a dress. Since Lochila knew of her birth status, she knew the blonde must look like one, before presenting her to the people of society.

“You’ll get your answers, once we reach the palace. Stay close to me at all times, and do not enter the dungeons. For your sake, please don’t enter what lies beneath it”, Lochila knew that the prison wasn’t that dangerous, but it was mainly because of certain reasons that she didn’t want her there. Her uncle...

Torunn still looked incredibly confused as she looked up at her mother for a moment as she helped her stand a bit, she looked down at the sword in her hand. For some weird thing she did feel quiet attached to the weapon for whatever reason she did not know, then she answered at least one of her questions. "Asgard, like as in Norse mythology and Thor, Odin and Loki?" Torunn asked, her eyes wondered over towards the massive golden palace that was in the distance, it was still a lot of stuff to take in all at once.

Lochila then said something about her clothes and being able to blend in, she watched her mother making a green aura and then blowing it onto her. Her eyes wondered down as her clothes started to transform into a dress, that fitted her rather perfectly, as she gently ran a hand over the soft material it was still weird and amazing at the same time to see.

Tournn bit her bottom lip for a moment and nodded as she started to follow Lochila out of the strange building that brought them here, and out onto the amazing beautiful colored bridge now getting an even better view of the city and kingdom of Asgard. Then she raised an eyebrow towards her mentioning not going into the dungeons. "Why what exactly is down there?" Torunn asked her mother, she couldn't help but be curious now.

Lochila watched the reactions of the blonde girl, although her question made her lightly chuckle; she gave herself a few seconds to pull herself together. "Like the mythology, in a way, yes. Although everything and everyone you may see, would not be exactly like how you've envisioned them. Some of the things you might already know, could may as well be just rumors. However, it wouldn't hurt to ask", she explained, as the goddess started to walk across the bridge, and towards the kingdom. It was going to take them awhile without a horse, but it wouldn't hurt to enjoy the scenery.

Even though the view was mesmerizing, the dark-haired woman was truthfully worried that the girl might go wandering on her own, and get herself into a situation she may not have the knowledge of getting out from. In this case, the dungeons. Lochila sighed at her question, having to stop walking for a moment, and look at her, quite worriedly. "Believe me, my dear. It's not of what you'll find, it's who you will find", she answered her, honestly, before continuing on her walk. "Listen closely. I have a brother, and...well, it's quite complicated", she softly said the last part.

Torunn walked alongside her mother as they left the building that brought them there, she cautiously started to walk across the bridge seeing the light shimmering underneath it. She could see the abyss below wondering how far it exactly would go, then she quickly met her mother's gaze when she mentioned her uncle. Which come to think of it she didn't really know anything about her extended family or father really either as well. "How come I've never heard you mentioning him before?" Torunn asked, as she stopped and looked up at her meeting her gaze.

Torunn would also occasionally look back down at the sword in her hand, then she was starting to wonder what exactly was going on again it was still a lot to take him. "Who is my father anyway?" For as long as she could remember Lochilla never really mentioned him either or simply just avoided the question as well, she really did want to get some answers right now.

Cassandra Reed

After the strange light that had appeared in the middle of Central Park Cassandra had quickly ordered the whole park to be shut down until things were safe. She stood at a makeshift tent that had been set up rather quickly by the SHIELD team that was on the ground now as she oversaw the group of eggheads that were working on scanning the area with residual radiation and other things. Though Cassandra wasn't in New Mexico she had read some of the reports that had happened there.

"So what do we have?" Cassandra asked, as a Sci-Tech agent came up with a datapad and handed it over to her he was a younger man as he took a seat at the table and gave a slight shrug. "We questioned some of the people who were there, they said that they heard a loud sound the night before. When they came to the location there was the sword that was imbedded into the ground, there were some who tried to pull it out, but they weren't able to at all until that young girl grabbed it with no problem and then the other woman with her both disappeared." He answered, as Cassandra scanned the report and nodded a bit. "Thank you, just keep at it and keep me posted." Cassandra said as the agent nodded and headed back to the small crater that was left behind.

Lochila did recall on mentioning Torunn about her father a few times, but she never exactly got very specific on who he was: She didn't say his names, about what or who he was, nor about what he did. The questions that she was receiving from the blonde made the wheels in her head start to turn, as she tried to come up with a very logical answer that wouldn't terrify nor upset her. But the girl was obviously confused, so she had to at least shed some light. Just like how she promised herself, before they were suspiciously teleported here. "I couldn't", she answered, as they continued to walk across the bridge. "Look, your father...he didn't necessarily want me saying anything to you, regarding him. I'm sorry, but he didn't want me passing any knowledge of his existence to you, until he was ready. All I know, is for it to be 'all according to plan'.

She took a deep breath before she started speaking again. "Your uncle, on the other hand, wasn't necessarily a very good, nor a very bad man, as far as morality went. However, he was not very fond nor subordinate on following the rules. Your father didn't want me mentioning about him either. He intended to keep you blind on who we really were", by the time she had finished that sentence, they were walking through the common ground of the kingdom, where some of the inhabitants watched them walk by, even though some of them looked wary, mainly towards Lochila. She only hoped that Torunn didn't assume that was the case, until the time came.

Torunn was trailing a little bit behind Lochilla as she started to try and process what everything was being said to her, as she listened to her mother's answers. Torunn was both confused as well as upset for having these kinds of secrets being hidden from her, she was certainly going to demand answers from her father. Who she barely even knew or whatever this plan was that her mother said, as they started to enter the commons area of the kingdom. Then Lochilla started to mention her uncle who was imprisoned for something that he had done, as she looked at some of the people who were looking at them.

"Why are they looking at us?" Torunn finally asked, she wasn't sure if they were looking directly at her, or her mother or the both of them. But Torunn wasn't really used to all of this attention either. "Does this all have to do with the lights in the apartment going off and exploding?" She asked, as Torunn tried to look away from the people staring.

Lochila Laufeysdottir

It was right for Torunn to be confused on what was currently being opened before her, considering that she was trying to distinguished between fabrication and truth. Even the point of revealing that she wasn’t her real mother, might possibly affect her more. This was the part of the truth that Lochila couldn’t quite break it to her just yet. The realization of their non-relation might break the close, nineteen-year bond they have forged together. The notion of being stared down upon, made the goddess gently take the younger woman’s hand, and give her confront and ease through touch alone. Enough words were being said as of late. “What had already transpired, would have a much closer relation, as to why we are here”, she answered her, hoping that by carefully opening the curtain, would help open the girl’s eyes in a much more smoother fashion. It would allow Torunn to take it all in with ease.

They were now standing before the gate of the palace, along with a few guards who happen to stand at its tallest and most-impressive doors. The glory seemed to glow within the gold infused into its structure. It became rather hard to tell who received the most frowns, but they reluctantly allowed the two women to pass, once Lochila told them that the king requested their presence. It wasn’t a lie, considering that Thor was the only one who would allow an individual to use the bridge to pass between realms, if not, into Asgard. The halls themselves were blended in so well with the palace’s golden exterior, and the many animated murals were painted into the ceiling; all the way to the main throne.

Having to led by the guards throughout the halls seemed to go on forever, but they were eventually entering their destination, once the huge doors opened, showing the grand throne of Asgard...with a middle-aged man sitting on the chair, while holding onto a staff that stood by his side; a dark-haired woman standing by his side. After having to stand before him, the guards were ordered to leave, once Lochila and Torunn were officially standing in this man’s presence.

Torunn looked up at her mother for a moment as she listened to her for a moment, she did have a feeling that she caused the little lightshow back at the apartment just the night before. She just simply nodded as she continued to follow alongside Lochila shortly behind her, eyeing the few remaining people that were in the commons area where they were in. Until they left and started to get closer towards the massive sprawling castle before her. Torunn was still doing her best to process everything that was going on right now, as she stared at the guards that were at the doors.

She stared at the guards getting the feeling that they either didn't like her that much, or they certainly didn't like her mother for whatever she had done because of her uncle who she had never met. The moment the large golden doors open Torunn followed everyone inside taking in the sights before her. Biting her bottom lip, she had never seen anything like this before as she stared at the murals that were above her head.

Then they were in the massive throne room, she stared at the middle-aged man and the dark haired woman who stood there before them, Torunn simply took a slight step back. She looked up at Lochilia she wasn't sure what to actually even say, or do but she remained fairly quiet and would let her mother do the talking if she wanted to.

Lochila Laufeysdottir

Lochila looked upon the man, sitting in the grand high chair that once belonged to the Allfather. For anyone who sat upon the throne, it was the heirs of the great Odin himself, of whom passed away in a time where Asgard's very balance began to tip. Since then, the children of the once-king have went their separate ways, to the point where they started to rarely speak to each other. Heimdall once had a grasp over the deities of Asgard, in times of strife, but not even the much-needed wisdom from Frigga herself can calm the temperamental tension that now managed to separate the once-inseparable siblings; Tyr, Balder, and Aldrif chose exile, Loki ends up imprisoned, and Lochila lingered lost in the shadows of the now-crowned Thor, whose very presence has loomed over the two women before him.

Like any good subject, or so it was said, the raven-haired goddess crossed an arm over her chest, and kneeled before the man, at the foot of the chair. "My king...", she began, having to pause on her words for a second. "My brother", the woman stood back up to her full height, from next to Torunn. "Lord of Thunder; god of rain; bringer of storms. Torunn, Thor Odinson", she introduced the girl to the blonde man. There was a glint of guilt coming from the goddess, along with a lingering sadness.

Thor Odinson

The blonde man had a glare that was ever piercing, as if he had sorts of feelings within them, along with a bit of an intimidating fierceness to him. He stood up from the grand chair, where the sun shined from him, which seemed to miraculously erase all of signs of intimidation, and replace them with gentle humbleness; altogether, majestic. "Lochila; dear sister of mine. I have summoned you, as our call seems to have been answered before our very eyes", he said, as he walked towards them, with a deep voice that seemed to show that very fierceness and gentleness all at once, as he gestured to the sword in the girl's hand. "My daughter..."
