Quick question, were any of the elves or sea goblins wearing a piece of Deadman's Gold?

Elves were, the goblins were not. Sorta a moot point for them since they kinda tend to do their funeral rites in the sea.

Also, do any members of Talogan's crew have a piece of Deadman's Gold?

Tayang, Johnathan, and Nix do, everyone else does not.

Are any of the looted weapons different from their regular counterparts in any meaningful way? Do bronze or elven weapons have any mechanical difference from regular steel weapons? What about shell tipped arrows or sharp horn tridents?

Only in certain ways that don't entirely matter unless things go wrong. Bronze weapons are more resistant to the effects of sea water compared to regular steel, but aren't as sturdy. Weapons made of materials from the sea, such as shell or horn, are also resistant to the rigors of the sea. But aside from that they're statically similar, and elven weapons are simply an aesthetic and have no mechanical benefits or flaws compared to say, dwarven or orc made. Now perhaps certain merchants would pay more for elven weapons, but some might also pay less. Humans for example would pay double for an elven longsword, but an dwarf might not even buy it. So on and so forth.

Generally speaking if you're selling them wholesale to your local fence, they don't really care about the specific quality as long as it's functional. You won't be getting it at market value (aka you sell at 1/3 it's value on the table) but they also don't ask any questions about where you got them, how you have so many, or whatever. Hell they could be counterfeit and if they don't realize it, that's the fence's problem.

So is selling items of dubious origin and suspicious quantity to ordinary merchants considered more than just a minor criminal offence then?

If you're lucky, they'll not do business with you. If they're clever, they will do business with you, and then report you to the guards. Sometimes they'll just skip straight to the latter. Flogging loot from an adventure is one thing, but most adventure shop buyers expect things like weapons, armor, and occasionally maybe valuable crafts and silverware. Come in with ten units of beaver hide and thirty units of ceder wood, and they're going to wonder what caravan just got hit.

What's the market value per unit of all the types of cargo we just stole? Also, does a unit have a fixed weight or does it vary from item to item? Also also, were there any units of things on the ship before we brought the cargo aboard?

I'll be honest, I'll need to figure out the total market value once I finish making a trade goods sheet. While I'm mostly stealing it from someone else who did most of the hard work for me, it's not quite tailored for 5e, so I need to make specific adjustments for it. A Unit is typically anywhere between 100-500 pounds, as it also depends on the volume it takes up. 100 pounds of iron takes up far less space than 100 pounds of feathers and all that good stuff. As for the ship's initial inventory, it was mainly just food supplies, bedding, and materials to repair the ship. All of that combined would take up roughly 35/100 units of space your ship can hold.

I have no idea. The map I use right now is from an old campaign that I was in twelve years ago by a different GM I'm no longer with. But I sure wish I knew. I think he might've gotten it commissioned.

Or do you mean my combat maps? If so, I have a program called Dungeon Painter Studio I brought off steam. I make the layout with that, then save it as a PNG and load it into my paint program to add characters and enemies.

Yeah, I was talking about the combat maps you use. I don't think you've used that first map you mentioned in this game yet.

Yeah the world map I have, but technically the world map isn't something the players would "know", what with the counties having difficulties creating an geographically accurate map without the use of airships and stuff. Butt yeah, the battle maps I have a program for. It's not really as robust as I'd like it to be as far as objects and obstacles go; I pretty much use it to make a basic layout and grid system. A lotta everything else I improvise.

Would you allow me to edit something into my latest post or are my actions set in stone once I hit the Post Reply button? I was going to have Talogan do something to the Sea Goblin Corpses before he left, but I forgot to put that in before posting.

Out of curiosity, do the seas of Keratia have a Bermuda Triangle of sorts where ships are liable to vanish without a trace for no discernible reason?
