"Well, to frank me lad, we're a wee bit lost. I've gotten into the forest by pure accident, of the magical variety if ye know what I mean." Ander said, a grin on his face, seemingly unbothered by the fact that the person he was talking to wanted to stay in a tree. Then again, he talked to one of the most powerful beings in the Feywild, who was he to judge? "To be rather frank, we're looking to find out way back to the closest town. Though my companion here might have more business with ye that she might want to discuss."

Elaranna looked up at the small figure and studied them for a few seconds before speaking.
"You tried to pick my pockets yesterday. You led me on a rather long chase. While I've been in the area for a while, I haven't memorized is very well, so I'm just as lost as my friend here. I would also like the return to town. If you would kindly act as a guide to us, I will not report you to the guards, I swear on my honor. But, I'm also hoping for some information. I'm looking for someone named Calal, for a friend of theirs. They where taken into the prison after stealing something from Trina, a merchant in town. Do you happen to know anything about Calal, the prison, or anything else that might be useful?" She said.

The figure was silent for a long time. He seemed to be looking at Ander for a long time, before switching to Elaranna. Back and forth he looked at them, clearly conflicted. He sighed and told Elaranna and Ander, “Listen. It’s not you that I don’t trust. It’s Trina. I honestly would not be surprised if she’s watching us now,”

He then elaborates, “Kid. This Calal person is probably going through horrendous experiments right now, as we speak! Sorry, but they’re a goner! And getting the guards to help? Good luck with that! They won’t believe ya! Trina’s got connections and she knows how to hide her tracks,”

Elaranna was shocked by the figure's accusations but Ander wasn't so phased.
"So, let me get this straight lad. You, who are obvious no weakling, are scared of a woman who wields a wee bit of influence in town? And because of that little bit of influence, you're willing to let others suffer just so you can get away. I'm sorry lad, but whatever kind of villain she might be, you might be worse." Ander said. "Now, if you be willing to tell us what you know about whatever is going on in town, we might be able to help out. If the three of us manage to solve whatever is goin' on and then you'd be left alone in peace. Hell, you might even be a hero to the town, one who rooted out corruption, stood up to it, and came out unscathed. Not really a bad deal. And if we help you out, the odds of success are better then ya doin' it alone, you know that lad."

Privately, Ander suspected that something like this is why Hyrsam actually sent him here. To topple another fool who had too much power for their own good. Meeting Elaranna again was just a bonus.

Elaranna looked between Ander and the stranger, wondering how this would go. However, she kept an eye on the stranger, watching them carefully for an signs of deceit.

The figure stared at Ander and he retorted, "Nice try, kid! The guilt trip trick won't work!" Elaranna would be able to tell from those words that the figure had seen Trina do something truly awful. Whatever it was, it was enough to convince the figure that running away is not as bad as whatever she did.

He then said to the duo, "Look, as much as I would love to stay and chat, I gotta go. I would seriously recommend leaving town right away. Trina is too strong," He then points in a certain direction and instructs the both of them, "Just go that way for a while and you should reach the city in no time.

He then leaps from branch to branch, away from the duo.

"Well, shite. That worked about as well as Sorvonek's plan to steal bread from the baker's stall all those years ago." Ander said, looking none to pleased with the results of his speech.

"At least we got directions back to town. Maybe once we're there, we can try asking around. It would seem that the person who gave me a job is not... as trustworthy as I would like." Elaranna said gently, placing a hand on his shoulder. "So, let's head there and see if we can find out something about Trina. At the very least, we'll be able to get some food in our stomachs."

"Aye, you're right. Let's get goin' then." Ander said, turning in the direction the figure had pointed and leading the way through the woods, both of them keeping an eye out for possible dangers.
