She dipped her head to the beta, respecting his choice, she stood and shook out her fur, turning human and sitting in a chair that was outside her den, she looked over the camp, making sure that everything was in order and ok, she nodded to herself, everything seemed to be going well, she looked down at her stomach, frowning upon seeing that it proceeded through her clothes a bit, she hadn't told the pack she was expecting yet, the only people knowing were Zi, And Rowan, nobody else.

During these events, Mika had gone off on her own. She soon returned to the camp, empty-pawed but nonetheless unharmed. She avoided as much eye contact as possible as she slipped off to her den. Lately, she'd been shirking her duties and a few werewolves gave her hostile glares, which she ignored to the best of her abilities. She lay down on her bedding, yawning. She hadn't been out for longer than a few hours, but the whole camp felt different.

Zi frowned as he saw Mika slip into the camp and to her den. Now. Where's Omega been lurking? Man, I should really find Beta Conner. She was always good at keeping order. I'm just good for patrols- SHOOT! I FORGOT PATROLS! He changed to his wolf form and left his post, barking a few names and sending out patrols. He glanced at Alpha Crystal but decided not to send her. "Alpha Rowan!" He barked as he approached the alpha, knowing he would be cutting off the alpha's path, and that was risky as it was. But patrols needed to be sent, and he was running out of werewolves he could send. It'd have to be himself, Alpha Rowan, and perhaps Kadia or Omega.

Rowan stopped and scowled at Zi. Now what? This had better be important, He thought bitterly, though he avoided displaying his bitterness as he sighed and composed himself. He studied the beta before speaking, not wanting to make assumptions before he knew what was going on. He knew assuming was a bad thing, since he knew about the old phrase assuming makes an ass out of you and me. He liked that phrase, and tried to keep himself from making assumptions because of it.

"Yes, Beta Ling?" His voice still betrayed some of his bitterness.

She was watching this, wondering why Zi didn't just send her, she turned wolf to hide her stomach and retreated to her den, she would try to do some hunting later on, she laid down in her nest. I really hope we find Beta Conner, it's a mess without her, the battle killed almost all of our wolves and that didn't help either... She thought to herself, her swirling thoughts keeping her from sleeping so she stood and licked her paws.

Zi lowered his head, picking up on Rowan's bitter tone. "You're needed to get a full patrol if you wouldn't mind. I still have to speak to Evlase," He used Kadia's last name when speaking to the alpha since that seemed appropriate at the time, "about sending her on patrol as well." He kept his voice soft and reserved. He almost seemed humble, but his words carried a hint of a challenge. The kindness his words themselves carried masked the order to go on patrol. If one understood the way Zi worked, one would know right away that he wasn't suggesting.

Rowan picked up the subtle challenge and a growl rose in his throat. But he kept it back and forced himself to stay silent for a moment before simply nodding. He understood when the beta meant business, and he wasn't going to make a scene by challenging that order. Nowadays, patrols of three were the safest, so one werewolf could run back for help if needed. He padded to the camp exit and waited silently. Silence is best for now. But you won't get away with threatening me.

Mika yawned, lay down, and quickly fell asleep. She was sleeping lightly, so she would be easy to wake if she was needed. She found she wasn't often needed, but she always ended up being the one in trouble if somebody slacked on their duties- probably because she spent most of her time asleep.
