The black hooded person stood in front of the altar. Everything was silent except for the soft chanting voice as the hooded person started the ritual. No animal was seen, not a single deer or elk was in the vicinity of the ruin to graze there. The blood red moon seemed so close, presenting an ominous scene as it rose above the Gjukar Monument a small distance away from the ritual.

Finally a small breeze seem to circle the altar, a breeze that soon increased in its intensity along with the crackling of magic as it ripped a hole in the Reality. The Necromancer's eyes widened in surprise and fear when the edge of the rip starts wavering. Something was wrong! But before he could do anything else, the rip destabilized and exploded around the altar, throwing rocks and dirt. The Necromancer's luck run out as the explosion sent the Necromancer's head to meet an unforgiving rock.

The unstable rip wavered in and out of phase, slowly disappearing, but not before something traveled through it and fell beside the altar. The rip finally disappeared completely, leaving only the remnants of magic humming around the area.

And so, our story began.

Name: Alexa Cassandra Welborne
Age : 20
Short Desc: Short black hair with brown eyes, she stood at 5' 11". She has athletic build for her body.
Bio: Alexa was a student with mostly average scores in her reports. The one thing that she excelled in and stood her out from the others was her love and talent for sports and gymnastic. She joined a Gymnast Club and excelled in it during her Senior high school. She also expressed interest in engineering and tinkering with motorbikes.
When she was about to enter College, however, a lung sickness, which the doctor later diagnosed as an allergy result, made her unable to continue her Gymnastic. Thankfully the condition was not permanent, though the doctor cautioned that it could re-appear again, and she could do nearly all her usual activities (outside sports) like normal as long as she doesn't overdo it.

Name: Veronika (Veronica) Maja Orlov

Age : 18, soon turning 19

Short Desc: Long, silky cream coloured hair with pale, porcelain skin. With slim and frail appearance she stands at 5'6''. Her eyes, framed with long eyelashes are greyish blue.

Bio: Coming from a rich family, it goes without saying that Veronika is a proper young lady who has been taught basics of all skills. Manners, grace, dancing, horse riding, poetry, Latin, archery, you name it. She also paid great attention to her studies, always having a private tutor as well and was thus always admired for her grades, as well as her looks.
It is a pity however, that all those private lessons didn't come with a lesson about real life, because Veronica is living in a dream. Being raised in an aristocratic family, she ended up being quite spoiled, manipulative, two-faced and snobbish. Putting others down and spinning them around her finger is her way of letting out all the built up frustration from being opressed by her family. When dealing with those she deems are below her and those who are above her, her behaviour and character change completly.
Her friendships and relationships are all short-lived, as she only knows how to look after herself. However, her power and charisma resulted in her gaining a title of a princess, knowing many people, having an army of friends (or rather sheep followers) who she regularly hangs out with, but dosen't consider to be true companions.
Despite having many hobbies and skills, Veronika was never pointed towards a career. All her family ever wanted her to do was to look pretty and in all honesty - she is very good at it.
Upon finishing her private high school, her parents already began setting up an arranged marriage for her. Despite being horrified by this, she has so far done nothing to stop it, as she's been obediently carrying out the orders of her parents entire life.

lol, I had to rewrite sentences in my post multiple times. I keep trying to describe everything in details and when I did describe everything in details, I'm having problem trying to return to the point I was trying to put in the first place. XD

By the way; How do you suggest they can learn magic? Via reading out of the tomes? Maybe they'd have to study the tome untill they knew it by heart, upon which the tome would self destruct and they'd be left knowing the spell? To imitate the way you learn spells in-game... Do you have any preferences or ideas here?

I like the one where they have to study the tome, maybe have the tome self-destruct when they managed to cast the spell in it correctly? Just consider it as a mechanic to let the tome 'know' that the one studying it has mastered the spell.

For some reason I have a feeling that my girl will be the 'brute' while your girl will take the 'brawn' department. Not necessarily mean that my girl can't cast spell or your girl can't swing a sword. Just as the area they mastered most, if you know what I mean.

I like Veronika's objection about having to camp out in the wild, and her comment about a hotel takes the cake. xD I have a feeling that I'm going to see a lot more of Veronika's spoiled side when they have better lights later on?

Okay! So stuying the tome that then self-destructs it is!

I had that feeling when you said you'd play a tomboy, but let's keep the details hanging in air for now. After all, we know how Skyrim is, even more so as an RP - you see a sword, you pick it up. I don't think they're in a position to ask questions there :D
But I know I'll orientate my lady towards alchemy, spells and archery, since it's the sort of thing someone with her mindset would go for anyway.

Oh goodie. You'll have a lot of trouble with Veronika, especially after the preliminary shock wears out and they become a little less dependent upon one another. So... that’s basically ‘when they survive the night’. I'm keeping her a bit tolerant for now, since if I think about it - though they are total strangers, the entire thing must seem surreal, shocking and frightening to them and we all know how differently we act when genuinely scared for life.
Wait for the day to come - it's so interesting to play this out, I think we chose great contrasting characters for the RP.

Speaking of day, are you up for a bit of a time skip? We can have it skip to some event in the middle of the night or just the morning. Maybe morning would be best, so they finally get a chance to explore a little and maybe get some basic footing in the world before the next big threat. x)

Hmm, a lil insight if I see this from my char's Point of View: Alexa's confused by Veronika behavior. There's no questioning that Veronika is a spoiled girl, but there are times where it feels Veronika's spoiled behavior was more like a child's naivety, If you know what I mean. So it's like, one moment Snobbish Veronika appeared and complained about this and that, and just as Alexa started to feel really annoyed, Childish Veronika appeared with her naive behavior, taking the wind out of Alexa's building rant sail and she didn't know what to make of the other 'bipolar' girl.

We're on the same page in that case! Of course Veronika would be messed up, she's been stimulaneously given everyhting she asked for and had freedom taken away. Like a posh pet - always in cage, but still gets everything.
You'll see the naive and bratty part shine in conversations, but I'll also be dropping little hints of deep egoism that will have to change over time.

Thanks for the insight, I love how well Alexa's taking it, not snapping, but just enduring (for now). It allows me to develop Veronika, or at least her current stage better! I'm just enjoying this RP so much x)

Also, notice how Veronika and all her paragraphs are all very 'me me me me'? As opposed to Alexa, who pays a lot of attention to what Veronika does and says. I'm actually doing the opposite on purpose, as the noble's mind is so egocentric, it will take her a couple of pages of RP before she stops to think 'Hey, how is Alexa feeling? What is she doing? Is she ok?'. This is just another bit where character development is bound to kick in.

It's awesome. ^ ^ And I agree, the current point of view from Veronika should be mostly around her, before slowly starting to pay attention to anybody else around her. Subtle and slow, I like that, it follows the character prior their unfortunate summoning, and slowly changed as the character matured.

Oh my, I just remembered that there's a wolf or skeever on that hill. Should they have their first meeting with the local wildlife now or wait until they got to the village? =D (I'm leaning towards confrontation, but I understand if you think it might be too soon)
