Hello! I’m Jones!
I took a much needed break from the site but am back now and wanted to get back into writing again. I’ve missed brainstorming and writing with others, and had a couple ideas for some plots! I am also 100000% willing to collab and write a new plot with others if none of these catch your eye!
I have a more detailed description of who I am and how I write on my page, so check that out if you’re interested, but here’s a little rundown on who I am:
- I’m a male high school teacher living in the PNW of the US
- I’m a sucker for romance (reading any of my RP’s will show you that almost immediately) love a good love story no matter what genre/world it is in
-I like to think of myself as a more advanced writer, but I definitely prefer quality over quantity. I understand if at a point in in the RP where we can’t write multiple paragraphs, as long as we’re having fun!
-I typically prefer PM RP’s, but don’t mind thread posting and I’ve actually become a fan of Discord RP’ing, so if those are more your style I can do that as well!
-I like to explore deep and mature concepts in my stories, but it has to make sense. Smut, gore, violence only happens when the story allows it, you know?
-I LOVE everything Marvel, The Witcher (books), Star Wars, historical fiction, etc, so if that catches your eye shoot me a PM and we can work on something together :)
-Like I said, I am a teacher so my writing schedule is all sorts of crazy depending on the year. I had a really bad habit of unintentionally “ghosting” people for a length of time, and then being too embarrassed to tell them when I come back. I am NOT going to do that anymore, and will definitely keep people updated on when they can expect posts from me. No more leaving people in the dark!
with all that being said, here are a few plots I had in mind:
The Adventurer: I was thinking of a very rich man who gained his money by traveling the world and doing things others won't. The handsome young adventurer meets the love of his life, an Italian woman. They settle down in America, where they have kids of their own. When the adventurer isn't out traveling, he is spending all of his time with his family... But then his wife passed away, and it struck the family very very deeply.
The father has enough money to now stay home and be a “mister mom”, to try and take care of his kids, one younger and the other a teenager, one coping better than the other. His friends and even daughter, want him to try and start dating again, but he’s got cold feet.
Until…The Adventurer meets a woman his age who doesn't seem to be starstruck by the famous traveler, this is obviously the part where you make your character or brainstorm something! She could be an old friend of the adventurer/the mother of one of the kid’s friend/neighbor/etc. up to you :)
The two start hanging out so much that the adventurer starts to fall for the woman, causing drama and turmoil within the family and the relationships. Will their relationship last?
Again, looking for a female role for this, and totally willing to brainstorm some plot/backstory or whatever!
Fallen Angels: This RP would be a crime/drama RP set in a modern-day fantasy world, if that makes any sense xD It takes place in a world where humans, “angels”, and “demons” all live together. Obviously the angels would be higher up on the social ladder, and the demons would be lower. Each “race” would have certain abilities and traits that define them, and in order to keep peace, there are police officers, and then Archangels that are peacekeepers for all of them. They’re elite detectives/crime fighters that are either loved or hated.
This story would focus on an ex archangel who “lost their wings.” They were highly regarded as the best of the best, but now he lives in infamy and is kinda in this limbo state of hitting rock bottom. When the archangel gets a lead on the man who took his wings, one of the most sinister crime lords he had ever witnessed, he needs the help from an old friend to help take the person down.
Here's a plot that I whipped up (but it absolutely can be changed!)
and a more descriptive characteristics of the "Angels" and "Demons"
Looking for a Female role, and maybe the two become romantically involved, or during the whole plot reconnect from a previous romantic relationship! I am absolutely willing to brainstorm :)
The Phantom Detective: This one I thought of recently and I would love to brainstorm with ideas and plot! I was essentially thinking of having a 50's themed detective noire type of RP. A washed up detective has been taking a loss in his family hard, and although his detective skills are incredible, he has lost his passion. When he picks up a case to find a lost boy, he finds out that the boy has a gift: to talk to the dead. Seeing as how the child has no living family, he takes him in and together they solve difficult detective cases that most couldn't. As their fame gains, a mysterious couple claiming to be his parents try to kidnap him and take him away. As a more sinister plot is unfolding, the Detective must do everything he can to protect the child; even if he has to go to *her* for help.
Also looking for a female role to come into play here, maybe a lost flame, or childhood sweethearts, etc. Again, willing to brainstorm and modify the plot :D
A Witcher RP: don’t have a huge plot detailed for this, but it would obviously be set in the world of the Witcher! If you’re unfamiliar, the Witcher is a dark fantasy world where there are humans are put through horrendous genetic mutations to become the perfect monster hunters- they’re perceived as heartless monsters themselves, but find that humans are more monstrous than any foe they’re tasked to kill… anyway, I’m getting off track (if you want to know more PLEASE READ THE BOOKS THEY’RE MY FAVORITE! Plus I can tell you more :))
A Witcher (my character) is hired by a king of a small kingdom on a very serious task- to protect his daughter (your character), the princess of the kingdom. A war is brewing, and while Witcher’s aren’t known for being political, the war is about the princess herself, and her “curse.” He becomes her body guard, keeping her safe and wandering the world so that her father’s enemies don’t find her. The two do not like each other in the slightest at first, but as they travel more and more together, they start to get feelings for one another, and the truth about the princess’ “curse” is revealed to him.
A very simple plot right now, but I’d LOVE to try and brainstorm this with someone! :)
SOL: Old Flames Reunited
I've had this idea for a very long time. I'm looking for a female role that is okay with mature 18+ themes and topics, and here's the plot I had:
"In a small town was a small group of mischievous and loyal friends. The group did practically everything together, specifically two of the members. They were inseparable, sneaking out late to hang out, studying together, or helping one another in more personal and vulnerable moments. As the group literally grew up together, the two closest started to get feelings for one another without ever acting upon it, too afraid to possibly ruin their friendship.
Their senior year they finally give in to the romantic tension, spending a night together before... one of them leaves their small town shortly after, whether they were afraid of taking their relationship to the next level, or messing up was never known to the other...All they do know is that both regret the decision and always wondered what could have been.
Years later a sudden tragic death of one of the group members leaves the town in mourning. Word gets out of the one member that left, and now they have to come back to face their past, and their best friend and lover that they left behind.
The last final request of the passed group member was that the group would come back together for one last weekend, to catch up and bond again at their old hangout spot: his family's old lake house. Will the group accept the last request? Will the group forgive the one that left? Or will the tension be too high and cause another fallout?"
This is the bare plot I had in mind, but we can definitely move things around! I'd love to brainstorm specific details of our characters, like specific memories or moments in their childhood, maybe nicknames they gave one another, how they acted around one another vs how they reacted towards the rest of the group, who left and why, etc.
