@Cmmelody: Shino looks okay, I'd say (though I think it's "breeding", not "bleeding"... Right?) Only concern might be the flesh-eating bug (not because of it's strength per se but that's part of it), but other than that I'd give him the seal of approval.

Edit: The problem, to be specific, is the question of how often/easily they can be deployed and utilized. Chomping through someone from the inside out is a brutal affair, obviously, but it's a problem if you start using it too liberally (which I assume you wouldn't necessarily be inclined to do for narrative's sake?) but still.

oops that's a typo, my bad. ;-;
Fixed!

Yeah that's part of the reason I was hesitated to use Sippuden Shino as Flesh-eating bug is one of his main attacking skill.
Hey! If it bother you I can take that out, we can say that this type of insect aren't suitable for the environment or something like that. I put it there purely for the lore reason.

Edit: In the show I think he only use this bug with non-person, like Summons or Clones. But
I might be wrong tho. Generally Shino is a type of person who is uncomfortable using technique he deems 'Immoral', what it means in his standard? Who knows... As for this rp, You can have my word that I will not use it on the main NPC.

@Cmmelody: Yeah, if you can limit access to it because of some contrived lore reasons, I'll give him the ok. It's not a full-on "don't use this", but just "find an excuse within reason".

So in the canon anime there are 2 type of bugs Shino already refused to use even if he have aptitude for using them; The silence killing bug that can kill without a trance, and the poison bug that can 'rot' other person with one touch. It's really not a reach to say he would not use a technique if he feel uncomfortable even if doing so would give him a huge advantage.

How about for this rp he will:
a. Use the flesh-eating insects only on non-sentient things (like zombie for example)
or
b. face a huge psychological blow if he decide to use them for other reason

That would hopefully provide you with some limit.... I think...

@Cmmelody: First option's probably better, though maybe sapience would be a better bar than sentience.

Do that and I'll be okay.

  • Name: Fu Xuan
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: A petite, slender girl of around 140 cm/4'7 feet in height. She has pink hair and golden eyes, and is dressed in fine clothing typical of both her station and the style of the Xianzhou as a culture. Her short stature and rather youthful appearance are best not pointed out.
  • Personality: An exceptionally self-confident and no-nonsense person. Perhaps it is because of this that she is suited to her position as the Master Diviner. For Fu Xuan, every decision she makes is in service of the best possible outcome. As one who can see the future, it's not exactly an unfounded belief. Given her history, and her capabilities, not only can Fu Xuan perceive the future but at times she believes there are certain events that will always happen, a belief driven by the circumstances of the death of her mentor. At the same time, she must select choices that lead to the best possible future that she predicts, no matter what those possibilities may be. That is the duty of the Master Diviner.

Despite her seriousness about her duties, Fu Xuan is nevertheless quite temperamental and possessed of a rather sharp tongue, with a habit stating the actions of opponents are pointless or rudimentary. She often speaks in a flowery, rather wordy fashion that some find difficult to understand, though when taken off-guard she can struggle to keep this demeanor intact. Due to her pride, she can find it difficult to earnestly ask for help from others if she has not explicitly foreseen that it is the best path forward. She also has no lack of ambition, desiring to see the current general of the Xianzhou Luofu retire so she may assume his position.

And yet, her difficulty with seeking help from others is not her only somewhat childish trait. Befitting of her appearance, Fu Xuan is deeply fond of sweets, in particular preferring Startaro Bubble tea to more refined beverages. While this is in part due to the sugar content keeping her energy high on particularly long days, she is also simply very fond of the taste. She also possesses a mild complex about her height, which will rocket to the forefront of her personality whenever someone else makes the foolish decision to mention it.

It would be wise not to compare her size to a certain planet's heaters while she is in earshot.
  • Brief History: The daughter of a family of Stargazers, born on the Xianzhou Yuque. This important history, and his own predictions, lead to the current Master Diviner taking Fu Xuan as his pupil. Shortly before this, she was granted the Omniscia, the 'third eye' implanted in her forehead that serves as a portion of her divination ability. In a painful stupor after its implantation, she witnessed her past, present, and future simultaneously. This included her eventual ascension to the position of Master Diviner. Indeed, her tutelage began not long after, and she studied intensively and had frequent conversations on the nature of prediction and the future with her mentor and current Master Diviner.

The years spent learning under him were happy ones, filled with frequent conversation of the matters of what is predetermined and what is human will.

It was during one such conversation that the Master Diviner revealed the only reason he chose Fu Xuan as his pupil is due to having foreseen her future as the Master Diviner. Not her talents, or her family history, simply his divination.

Despite her aspirations, she could not help but be incensed by learning of the truth, and the second revelation caused her anger to boil over as her mentor revealed that she would be the reason for his death.

Fu Xuan left the Yuque in an enraged state, departing from her mentor and carrying a determination to prove his prediction wrong. She would never kill the man she respected so much. She arrived at the Xianzhou Luofu and performed divination there, with centuries rolling by.

Eventually, the Denizens of Abundance began to stir and a massive army arose to mount an assault on the Xianzhou Fanghu. Fu Xuan divined that a head-on attack would result in loss, but the Xianzhou could turn the tide if they fought a defensive battle.

Her advice was brushed aside due to the sheer size of the attacking force.

What followed was the brutal decimation of the Xianzhou forces, playing out before Fu Xuan's eyes.

Rather then succumbing to anger and despair, however, an idea arose in her mind. By using the Cloudpeer Telescope onboard the Xianzhou Yuque, it could be sent to the Fanghu and used transmit a signal to Lan the Hunt, the Aeon followed by the Xianzhou. THEIR arrow could annihilate the attacking Abundance forces, though the collateral damage would by extensive it was their best remaining chance.

The one who sent the signal would certainly die due to the very arrow that would end the war.

It was only then, once her proposal had been accepted, that Fu Xuan realized that only the Master Diviner, the man who had been her mentor, possessed the authority to carry out the signal transmission.

The arrow fired, the war ended, and as Master Diviner Fu Xuan guides the Xianzhou to the best possible future.
  • Universe of Origin: Honkai: Star Rail
  • Equipment: Fu Xuan's chief pieces of equipment are the Matrix of Prescience and the Omniscia implanted in her forehead. Together, they serve as the mechanism through which she is able to so precisely divine the future. Combined with divination techniques, they allow the Master Diviner to peer into the future and then act on the information which she sees. This can be used in the line of her typical duties of providing tactical and navigational guidance to the Xianzhou fleet, or for more immediate purposes. Without the use of the larger terminal on the Luofu, however, the typical extent of personal divination is clearest only with immediate events, such as the next move of an opponent or the words that will be spoken in a conversation. Further looks into the future become far less distinct without the use of the Divination Commission's full faculties. Additionally, the Matrix can be used in conjunction with a barrier to create a defensive field that operates by mitigating damage and predicting the actions of enemies. Given that, as a Xianzhou native, Fu Xuan's body continuously rejects the implanted Omniscia, the already-present aches can become far stronger while in this state and potentially cause her to faint from the strain.
  • Abilities: Chief among Fu Xuan's abilities is her divination. Even without utilizing the Matrix of Prescience and the Omniscia, Fu Xuan can utilize divination techniques that can allow her to make basic predictions about the coming future. These can include shifts in the weather, or the surface-level intentions of a single target. While Fu Xuan is not a soldier, it would be wrong to say she is incapable of combat. The Master Diviner possesses multiple techniques with which to defend herself and assault foes. Fu Xuan can construct barriers, both shields formed of geometric patterns of light and wider-ranging barriers that can defend a larger area. These barriers can also be used offensively, in order to push enemies away or constrain them to a limited area. They can be overcome with sufficient damage, and stronger barriers require longer periods of construction. By utilizing her divination, however, Fu Xuan can begin constructing more powerful barriers ahead of time in order to assist in defending against attack.

The Master Diviner can also attack using directed blasts of quantum energy. By carrying out a swift ritual, inscribing it into the air in the form of light, Fu Xuan can cause this blast to manifest directly on the body of a target, even bypassing some forms of armor. The destructive blast has a short range, but is capable of tearing through even firm and powerful flesh and pulverizing bone or shearing through metal. These blasts can also take the form of directed beams of light, and can very in size and intensity depending on time taking to cast them. Fu Xuan uses divination offensively, predicting the movements of a target and their most vulnerable points in order to deliver maximum damage.

Her most powerful offensive technique requires some preparation, leaving her vulnerable, but at the same time is considerably potent. By constraining one or more targets, though typically its maximum number of targets is restricted by their initial proximity. Once the barrier is formed, Fu Xuan compresses it, potentially crushing some targets as she forces them into a smaller area. This is accomplished by utilizing hand signs to complete the ritual. After being compressed, the interior of the barrier detonates. The quantum explosion within is sufficient to dissolve flesh and bone and even boil some metals. This offensive ritual, however, is difficult to use against gigantic foes, and Fu Xuan is vulnerable while performing it.

Finally, as a Xianzhou native, Fu Xuan is an immortal who no longer ages. Her body, while fragile, can heal from serious damage. This includes severed limbs or destroyed organs, though enough damage will overcome her regeneration. Even a severed head may be repaired if placed close enough to her body.

@VitaVitaAR: Fu Xuan ok.

Well, guess this is probably the point where I put my choice down.

I'm aiming to start the RP some time later today once I've finalized some starting plans (and barring any interference).

Would a Transformers character be okay? I can scale them down a lot (like from 30ft to 15ft) if you don’t want big characters.
