AnoYi:
At looking down the hallway with enhanced sight, he’d see that some of the redstone floor tiles had small subtle ridges on the borders of them, spread throughout the hall. To learn what they meant or did if anything would need to be determined through further exploration if desired.

Alaerin & Von Mackenstein:

Alaerin continued to illuminate parts of the space with the energy on his sword. He successfully moved into position and advanced down the hall, a ward of electric energy the same color that Alaerin’s sword had been illuminated.

Von Mackenstein’s appraisal told him that the language was sort of like beastial but it didn’t follow all the rules and seemed to have odd inconsistencies. However what they’d also gain from the appraisal is a faint hint of what might have been magical energy, with how the text had been carved into the door itself.

Mackenstein ordered their Line Fusiliers to advance and position themselves accordingly to cover Alaerin’s advance, each one diligently moved their mechanical nature signified in how they moved, looked, and sounded, the rhythmic sounds of analog filling the space, Four, behind Alaerin now as he advanced, following, ready to engage if necessary.

One with the torch, staying near Von Mackenstein, illuminating the area around them the brightest.
====

Meanwhile Silus stayed near conversational range of Anoyi and Francis for the time being.

However as Alaerin advanced onward and the units stepped behind, there was suddenly a clicking sound in the floor, one of the strange looking red stone tile’s edges sunk into the floor and there was a very loud rumbling sound that filled the air, suddenly a sizable sandstone stone block came loose from the ceiling and came careening down,

Alaerin + Line Fusiliers 1# and #2 (Closest to Alaerin) at risk of being hit by large sandstone block)

Simultaneously, a loud crashing came from the left wall of the group, and two sizable golems came through. There were elements on the golems which suggested they were possibly of West empire origin, with the stylized “Helmets” on them. One of them had red cloth on the top of the helmet, the other one had blue.

Blue Helmet Golem

The blue helmet golem came rushing down the hall on the left side parallel of where the square rock was falling from the ceiling and looked like it was trying to get to AnoYi as quickly as possible with its sizable arms raised to try to strike him.

(AnoYi targeted for a melee attack)

Red Helmet Golem

The red helmet golem on the other hand quickly lumbered over before it was in range of Von Mackenstein and Alaerin and, a gear of sorts clicking could be heard before a small pipe emerged from where the golem’s ‘mouth’ would be and a cone of reddish orange fire shot out toward them in a 30 ft long, 15 ft cone shape, illuminating the rock surfaces on the walls of the hall and the rock. (The golem is 10 ft away from Alaerin to the side of the fallen rock)

(Von Mackenstein, Alaerin, some Line Fusiliers targeted by ranged fire attack)

Narrator Note: Combat rules are in effect, 1 turn per person per combat round, 3 actions per turn.

Alaerin reacts... intensifying and focusing his nimbus of lightning to manifest a blinding Azure lightning directed at the falling block of sandstone in a thunderous BOOOMMMM~ in the enclosed chamber to shatter the falling block of sandstone if possible into smaller chunks and sand with his Lightning Aegis that his Lightning Ward can deflect, incorporate or at least blunt the impact off his arching lightning barrier...

But he is also in motion dashing forward Greatsword raised ... His Lightning Ward reacts to the sandstone particles in the air from the directed Lighting Aegis strike.. to incorporate with the static electrical effect to seize the sand in the air... and his Telekinesis pulls and focuses the sand and Lightning Ward in the air into a barrier to smother and deflect the incoming cone of flames gouted from the construct...

But the Red Helmed Construct was NOT Alaerin's target he moved to intercept the Blue Helmed Golem trying to attack AnoYi... to that target Alaerin Storm shifted grip on his greatsword.. and swings to strike at its head to hopefully forestall it unleashing a cone of fire at the non-combatants of the party...

"Von Mackstein I! Target fusillade on the Red Golem!"

The Battle is enguaged!

Actions:
1. Lightning Aegis - At Sandstone Block {[Fighting style swords] E, Range E, Blight Lightning F - character produces a lightning bolt that smashes into a target up to 30ft away and shocks target - E}
2. Lightning Ward or 'possibly Telekinesis' - At Sandstone Block & Cone of Fire {[Fighting Style-'Greatsword'] F, [Lightning Blight] F, Barrier F - character generates a lightning field to block or weaken incoming attacks. - F}
- OOC: Not sure how active defenses work technically the Lighting Ward was already manifested... so should it take an action? If not then will add in Telekinesis to control the sandstone dust in the air to form a Barrier in conjunction with Lighting Ward to form a barrier to flames by smothering them with the dust already in the air and animated by the static electricity of the Lightning Ward
3. Attack 'Blue Golem' Head with greatsword ~ ([Fighting Style-Swords] E}

In a singular moment, everything shifted. The hunches of the hallway being trapped were actually correct. And, upon its optical sensors catching the debris dropping from the ceiling, Von Mackstein wasted not a single moment. “The separatists engage in crude traps, commence counter-fire at once!” The machine’s tone was absolute, as it barked orders for both the Line Fusiliers who had advanced with Alaerin. [Action 1 - Von Mackstein]

The mechanoids didn’t waste time. From their pouches, they produced special rounds, pulling the bolts of their carbines back and loading into the open slit. And, pushing the bolt closed in eerily unison, they aimed their guns upwards, upon the falling rocks. “DOWN.” They said together, obeying the previous order, as the carbines’ ironsights zeroed on the failing debris and pulled their triggers, firing the exploding rounds upon it. [Action 1/2 - Line Fusiliers #1 and #2]

However, that was not all.

The crimson porcelain lenses of the gas mask caught the sight of the lumbering golem with its red hat, flaming mouth opened and trained on more than one of them. “Flammenwefer! Kill the subversives!” The commanding construct instructed once more, the order loud and clear. [Action 2 - Von Mackstein]

With that, the two armed Line Fusiliers (#3 and #4) shifted the muzzles of their carbines towards the Red Helmed golem. “DOWN.” Obeying the previous orders, the machines warned, before squeezing the triggers and firing against the golem. [Action 1/2 - Line Fusiliers #3 and #4]

Von Mackstein wouldn’t simply delegate the attacking to its troops. Rather, the barrel of its own carbine flashed brightly, its trigger actuated in a smooth, mechanical motion to join the assault against the Red Helmed golem. [Action 3 - Von Mackstein]

Actions
Von Mackstein:
1 - Order Line Fusiliers #1 and #2 to counter-act against the falling sandstone
2 - Order Line Fusiliers #3 and #4 to attack the Red Helmed golem
3 - Unaimed Basic Attack vs Red Helmed golem - Precision B (5) + Carbine C (4) = 9 - 1 (standard penalty for unaimed ranged attacks) = 8 Base Effectiveness

Line Fusiliers #1 and #2:
1 - Aimed upward at the failing sandstone
2 - Explosive Cartridge - Fighting Style E + Range E (30ft) + Area (15ft radius) - Precision B (5) + Carbine C (4) + Ability E (2) = 11 Base Effectiveness each, total 12 Base Effectiveness if team-up is considered
Cooldown Line Fusiliers #1 and #2 - E 0/1

Line Fusiliers #3 and #4:
1 - Aimed at the Red Helmed Golem
2 - Poisonous Cartridge - Fighting Style E + Range E (30ft) + Continuing (Poison) F - Precision B (5) + Carbine C (4) + Ability E (2) = 11 Base Effectiveness each, total 12 Base Effectiveness if team-up is considered, +1 Poison damage for 1 turn from Continuing (Poison) F

Total attack vs Red Helmed Golem = 13 Base Effectiveness, +1 Poison damage for 1 turn from Continuing (Poison) F

The Coyote wanted to shout a warning to the advancing party but the sudden gritty grind of falling sandstone eliminated the necessity. Alaerin or the mechanical Riflemen had already set off a trap. With a whirling flourish of his red cape, AnoYi drew his cutlass and threw up a hand as if to guard the alchemist and chef nearby.
The lumbering appearance of the two golems into the fray did little to help the odds against the band of tomb raiders. ”Ha! Animated statues! Called it!” he exclaimed, perhaps a little too elated at being correct.
"Ayo! Don't step on the red, raised tiles!" he called out in case no one else saw the trap trigger. "They trigger the sandstone deadfall blocks, I think." His eyes scanned around as he looked for any other surprises before taking action. With Alaerin and Mackenstein already engaging, AnoYi knew he had to distract the Blue Golem away from the alchemist and chef. Give it something to chew on besides the two behind him...
Keen eyes looked across the charging golem, eager to asses any weak points in the construct, before leaping into action. The Coyote sped at the golem with a surprising burst of velocity and sprang at the blue headed construct as the two passed each other. Steel sparked and flashed as the Coyote struck at the golem before landing a short distance behind it, careful to avoid landing on one of the presumably trapped red tiles.

Actions:
1) use Appraisal F on the Blue Golem

2&3) Use Unicorn Jump E Ability to Attack the Blue Golem and land behind it.

Character: Francis Fouquenot

Status: Wishing he had done more cardio.

The chef inspected the runes with no earthly idea what he was looking at but nonetheless impressed by the skillful craftsmanship that went into the design. He listened absentmindedly as the others spoke around him but made no real effort to get invested in any of theit conversations, for now it was enough to listen and assess the group he was traveling with. The click however seemed louder than any conversation going on around them.

BOOM!!!

Francis barely has the time to react to what unfolds before him. Suddenly the roof begins to cave in not too far ahead of him near that man with the Sword, he believed his name was Alaerin, the Thunderous retort of guns echoed, and flames began filling the narrow tunnel from the golem. In the midst of all this chaos Silus threw his potion. Normally Francis would have had no hope in catching something in a situation like this, but perhaps it was the flames making him feel at home, perhaps it was the fact that the potion was a drinknof sorts and thus fell into the food category, or perhaps it was just luck but nonetheless, he managed to catch the potion.

He was already halfway turned to run when the potion landed in his hands, he eyes it briefly before determining that it would be better used by that Alaerin gentleman. (Appraisal F) Thus he made what may well have been the most foolish decision of his life. “ rien ne va ici” he muttered to himself as he began to sprint, as carefully as one could, towards the lightning wielding swordsman. “Oi, stormy homme!” He would shout hoping it made it past all the cross noise, he got maybe ten feet from the man when he tossed the gifted potion to him calling out once more “Behind you, DRINK!

(Narrator note: Being charitable here, normally a potion being made via magic ability that lasts more than 1 turn usually isn’t a thing without duration or consumable skill involvement. it’d act more like a splash potion narrative flavor wise as is and normally would have just applied to Francis as targeted. However with my discretion as Narrator I’ll allow this target shifting, this time, but in the future I’d prefer if they act as splash potions on target(s) selected, unless Silus attempts to create one with the alchemy kit or something of the like)

(In short even though not really allowed under RAW normally with ability used, I’ll let Alaerin use the strength potion this round if want too if he successfully gains possession and drinks it.)

The sandstone block was likely one of the first things that changed noticeably in the room, between Alaerin striking it with a striking lightning bolt from his blade. This was followed up nearly simultaneously with order line fusiliers opening fire with explosive rounds, by that point the chunk had broken up and scattered, explosive rounds creating loud sounds in the space, The rock breaking up into many fragments, none of which were large enough to deal any damage real damage even as some fragments fizzled out against Alaerin’s ward, and some grazed up against Von Mackstein.

However a more sizable chunk of the stone did kick up a sizable cloud of dust which made it a bit harder to see briefly for those with mundane means of sight.

Despite the dust which kicked up Alaerin was able to bring his sword down on the blue helmeted golem it’s armor damaged by the attack, crackling energy burns left on it as well as the blade mark.

The crackling ward ate up damage for the combat round even as some of the debris which had been pulled telekinetically to help lessen the blow assisted in lessening the full force of impact. Ward energy lessened and crackled from the strain of the fire and rock damage it adsorbed, it was also notable that the ward and sand strangely appeared to “be on fire” with some minor flames from what the red helmeted Golem spewed onto it.

The line Fuilister’s assault proved to be effective on the red helmeted golem as shells struck it’s armor, Von Mackstein’ shot allowing for a ‘team up, where it’s basic shot worked in tandem wit the line Fusiliers ones, corrosive poison damaging the construct as well through it’s heavy armor.

As damaged as the red helmet golem’s armor looked, a strange orangey magical interior sparkling where it’s body was broken, it then raised it’s head back ( reasonably giving a window of opportunity to guess what it was about to do next) Before it spewed some follow up more typical orangey yellow fire after the fact that appeared significantly less intense compared to the prior attack but still was threatening nevertheless.

(Line Fusiliers and Mackstein in range of lesser ? Fire attack from Red helmeted golem)

The coyote combatant AnoYi gained advantage in his counter attack in part because of Alaerin distracting the blue helmeted golem, as it turned it’s head to face him instead as it brought down it’s arms, not noticing AnoYi leap up with grace and precision flipping over the golem, and landing a well placed fencing saber stab right in the back, his sword piercing it’s armor creating more magical sparks to fly out as it tried to turn around and retaliate swinging at him with one of its blocky arms, before swinging again at him.

(AnoYi X2 ??? melee attacks coming at from blue helmet golem)

The blue helmeted golem then rotated it’s waist aggressively and attempted a wide swipe attack, where a strange blue glowing kinetic energy left it’s arm and went flying at Alaerin.

(X1 ???swipe energy Melee attack against Alaerin)

Francis found himself running across the hallway battlefield, hopefully less likely to trigger any red tiles thanks to AnoYi’s warnings, carrying a potion that Silus had procured to offer it up to Alaerin. However once he was in range to hand it to him, he’d hear the whispering start to intensify again that they had heard from the cave entrance, and a loud almost heart beat-like rhythmic sound filled his ears.

“You…do..not..belong here..” It spoke in a distorted almost common language, seemingly telepathically to Francis. Soon after the voice finished few strange green, semi transparent, ghostly skeletal hands suddenly started to reach out from the ground, trying to grab and grapple Francis

(X1 ??? Grapple hazard targeting Francis)

Even as Silus slinked away 15 ft toward the door while the fighting raged on, he heard a similar voice and pounding heart beat in his head, as well as the same whispers,

“You..are not..here for the right reasons..” It also spoke telepathically to Silus. Three more skeletal semi transparent hands came out of the ground and attempted to Grapple Silus.

(X1 ??? Grapple hazard targeting Silus)

Combat breakdown:
Lesser fire attack heading toward Line Fusiliers and Von Mackstein from a now heavily damaged Red Helmet Golem

Two melee attacks heading toward AnoYi from blue helmet golem who is damaged from penetrating Melee attack

Blue helmet golem attempts X1 ranged kinetic energy attack against Alaerin)

Grapple hazard attempting to hit Francis from below

Alaerin swung his Greatsword invoking his Lighting Ward to Block/Parry the incoming energy of the Kinetic Force Melee strike, and rolling with the impact pivoting his position to lessen the impact.

Hearing Francias call out to him and the 'Axexation of Puerto-Rico' ~ "Little Rascals"-style football catch-toss-catch maneuver again of the Boosting potion bottle. Alearin stretch out with his will with his Telekinesis and just 'tipped' the flight patch of the tossed potion bottle to drop it easily into his grasp ... and popped the cork again with a slight Telekinetic Tweak... and downed the elixir...

Casting the potion bottle aside to again grip his battle-blade two handed he shifted position to place himself opposite AnoYi nodding at coyote-fencer,"Together!!"

To time their strikes simultaneously... with the Blue Helmed Golem between them. On Mark ~ Alaerin leaped in manifesting his Thunder Blade to make a vicious empowered swing with the lightning infused Greatsword on the Golem's flank... not aimed.. just swinging for center mass to connect and inflict as much damage as possible ~ hopefully forcing the Golem to split its attention against two attackers coming at the same time!

Actions:
1. Lightning Ward - At Empowered Greatsword Block/Parry against Kinetic Enemry Melee attack {[Fighting Style-'Greatsword'] F, [Lightning Blight] F, Barrier F - character generates a lightning field to block or weaken incoming attacks. - F}
2. Catch & Drink Potion
3. Attack 'Blue Helmed' Golem Main-Body with Thunder Blade - greatsword ~ ([Fighting Style-Swords] E, Blight Lightning F- blade becomes electrified as it strikes a target - F)

Sliding to a stop after slicing past the Blue Golem, AnoYi spun to face the lumbering Construct as it turned to strike at him. Dust and sand clouded the air as the remnants of the sandstone block struck the ground, the gust swirling the Coyote's tattered red cape.
Behind him, the Greatswordsman barked out tactics but AnoYi was already occupied with weathering the Blue Golem's wrath. " I'm a bit busy but I'll do what I can..." he called back as Alaerin leap towards the golem, greatsword arcing with electric power.
Tearing his eyes away from Alaeric's attack, AnoYi dodged to the left of the swing of the first incoming stone fist and scrambled along the sand-coated floor trying to avoid the second fist following right behind. While avoiding the crush of twin ton sandstone fists was his primary concern, AnoYi still found an opportunity for a quick counterstrike.

Actions:
1) Dodge Blue Golem attack #1
2) Dodge/Defend Blue Golem attack #2
3) Attack Blue Golem

Question: Unicorn Jump (E) is on Cooldown, does that mean everything with E rank is on Cooldown or just Unicorn Jump? If so, AnoYi's attack action will be just a standard hit. If Not, his attack action will use Six Fingered Sword Style .

The machine would have grinned if its mechanical face allowed it to, as it witnessed the success of its ‘Volley-Fire’ against the foolish belligerents and its mediocre traps. “Flawless volley fire. The discipline of Friedrich der Große himself! As he once said it: artillery adds dignity of what otherwise would be a vulgar brawl.” The commanding construct said confidently, the algorithms in its neural cortex already deciding on the next use of tactics.

Upon catching the sight of the orange hue amidst the dust lifted from the falling sandstone, the solution made itself apparent. “All firing units, concentrate volley on the Red Helmet volatile!” The mechanical voice echoed from its gas-mask: a direct and simple order. [Von Mackstein - Action 1]

And, at the same time, Von Mackstein’s gloved hand wrapped around the hilt of the saber located on its hips. With a metallic rasp of metal against its scabbard, the glinting blade was unsheathed, being pointed directly at the Blue Helmet golem. “Angriff!” It shouted at the same time as it moved.

Leather boots hit against the sandy floor; medals, proudly displayed on its chest, clinked against one another in rhythmic motion; its greatcoat fluttered behind it as it approached the Blue Helmet golem with each singular step. [Von Mackstein - Action 2]

Upon reaching the creature, the construct raised the saber above its own head, before bringing it down in a vertical slash against its foe. [Von Mackstein - Action 3]

Meanwhile, the Line Fusiliers, four of them still holding their carbines, zeroed their still fuming muzzles at the Red Helmet golem. “DOWN.” The machines uttered in monotone unison, as they squeezed the triggers of their firearms in rapid succession, shooting volleys at the anarchist. [Line Fusiliers #1, #2, #3, #4 - Actions 1/2/3]

Actions:
Von Macksein
1 - Order the Line Fusiliers to attack the Red Helmet golem
2 - Hussar Charge towards the Blue Helmet golem
3 - Basic Attack against the Blue Helmet golem - Strength E (2) + Saber F (1) = 3 Base Effectiveness

1 - Aim at the Red Helmet golem
2 - Basic attack against the Red Helmet golem - Precision B (5) + Carbine C (4) = 9 Base Effectiveness
2 - Basic attack against the Red Helmet golem - +1 combo

Character: Francis
Status: Startled and Irritated.

After throwing the flask at Aldearin he was pleasantly surprised at the way it seemed to land perfectly in the mans hand, despite knowing deep down that he had done very little to contribute to that fact, he would still count it as a win. He only had a few moments to enjoy his self assured success when the spectral voice and the hands made their attempt to grab him. “And What would you know of where i belong?” He would say in a jeering tone as he ungracefully Began to highstep in an effort to get free of the hands grasp. Simultaneously he would grab one of the pans dangling from his back, gripping it with both hands and making an effort to block attempts to grab him. “Dead don’t belong here either yet here you are!” He would further insult the Spectral hands as they rose and he continued backing away.

Actions:
1 Attempt to Highstep away (Speed G)
2 Draw cast iron skillet
3 Attempt melee Attack on Hands (Str G) ((No FS, No Weapon Grade.))

Silus looks around the battlefield covered in dust, fire and flashes of electricity in panic as he heard the voice and noticing the ethereal hands come from out of the ground he tries to step away/ hop out, creating a half hop half stumble away in mild panic and overwhelm, when out he keeps looking around with an eye to the ground now as he readjusts his footing after that stumble away

Actions:
1.stumble away from the grapple
2. Keep watch around the battlefield
3. Doing his best not to fall from stumbling (no idea for third action, felt like some decent flavor text i dunno)

The golem's kinetic strikes struck Alaerin’s barrier which was restored for the round. It ate up a lot of the damage, looking like the surface cracked again on the impact, barely holding itself together, the golem’s kinetic strikes considerably strong, the barrier likely only having 1/4 hp left to it’s name.

Unfortunately AnoYi was a bit less fortunate in his dodging attempt. He moved quickly and managed to avoid the first swing, but on the second attack he wasn’t quite quick and agile enough, he found himself getting hit in the gut, it felt like the wind was completely knocked out of him, as he found himself struggling to breathe afterward, a taste of iron in his mouth as he was now on the ground prone on his back on the hard cold hallway floor, now 6 ft away from where the blue helmeted golem hit him. His attempted strike was unable to land true on the golem, he’d hear another red stone tile click from where he landed, and the same sound of stone moving filled the hall…

Prone - Creature that is lying flat on the ground.
Detriment: A prone creature’s only movement option is to crawl, unless it stands up and thereby ends the condition. The creature has a minus 1 on attacks. Attacks against the creature have a plus 1 if the attacker is within 5 feet of the creature. Ranged attacks against the creature receive a minus 1.

(AnoYi requires assistance or possibly risks losing consciousness in future round)

Alaerin felt a surge of strength when he downed the potion, his pupils dilated, he felt as if he could move anything in that moment if he put some elbow grease into it, and he swung his sword with much more force than usual, the blade with the glowing electrical energy seared the golem’s body, cutting through the remainder of its damaged armor as it began to fall apart on the spot, its torso split down the middle, even as it had gotten ready to make another swing at him, Von Mackstein I team up charge attack helped put an end to that as when his blade soon after struck the golem with sparks, the magical glowing energy inside of its core went dull and with a loud sound it’s body crumbled to the ground in pieces of what it once was.

In other combat successes Von Mackstein’s line constructs opened fire on the weakened red helmeted golem, As it set forth its weakened fire attack some of the shots made by the Line Fusiliers hit the construct’s flame thrower ranged weapon in its head which promptly broke, before the remaining shots overpowered its weaker attack, as it had used up its most powerful attack prior which hadn’t been quite enough to fully overcome the prior onslaught it had dealt with. The golem fell over and the magical sparks within dulled, as its compromised inactive body fell to the ground with a loud thud.

Silus tried to avoid the hands that were going for him but he was unable too not using a more skillful action or any of his abilities, he found his legs grabbed, the right one by one ghostly hand around the ankle, and the other two on his left leg, each slowing him down, making it harder for him to get out of the way of the hazard that was coming his way…He also felt a cold sensation go over his body like his energy had been sapped away at by the hands and that had been weakened (Drain F strength and Speed, -1 effectiveness for actions involving both)
Francis heard a strange telepathic laugh in response. “Only the fates can decide if you will find what you are looking for..or even make it out of here alive..”

Francis did a bit better than silus but it still wasn’t great, he ‘hit’ one of the hands away with his pan, which meant that only two of them were able to reach him, specifically each leg, He too felt his energy get sapped, making him feel more sluggish then before. (Drain F Speed - 1 effectiveness for actions in involving)

Grappled - Creature is seized in a firm grip by another creature.
Detriment: A grappled creature’s speed becomes 0, and it can’t benefit from any bonus to its speed. The condition ends if the grappler is incapacitated. The condition also ends if an effect removes the grappled creature from the reach of the grappler or grappling effect.

Quickly after it was clear what the stone shifting sounds were leading up too as suddenly 3 of the pillars in the hall began to light up in a faint reddish orange hue and each of them as if by magic dislodged themselves from the wall and then violently began to fall toward some of the party members, the trap triggered pillars attempting to crush them as if they had a will of their own.
One pillar went for Silus, another pillar went for Francis, a third pillar went for Von Mackstein.

(Silus, Francis, Von Mackstein each facing X1 Pillar trap hazard attack)

Combat summary:

Von Mackstein and Alaerin’s melee strike true finishing off the blue helmeted golem.

Von Mackstein’s line fusiliers put down the red helmeted golem with suppressive fire.

Francis is grappled, drained for speed (-1 effectiveness for actions involving)

Silus is grappled. Drained for speed and strength (-1 effectiveness for actions involving speed and strength)

Francis and SIlus at risk of being hit with hallway trap triggered.

Von Mackestein at risk of being hit with hallway trap triggered.

AnoYi is able to dodge the first strike but the second strike hits him badly and he is sent prone, risking losing consciousness from damage sustained from the heavy hit.

Silus, Francis, Von Mackstein each facing X1 Pillar trap hazard attack

Alaerin feels the elixir fill his body with superhuman enhanced strength a sensation that is new and almost frightening in itself! He watches the Blue Helmed Golem fall to the combined strikes of his Battleblade and Von Mackstein's Saber... but only perceives the triggered Traps with only split seconds to act...

On simple reaction... He Yells, "Si! Franc! ~ DOWN!!!"

And calling upon his enhanced strength shoves the stony Bulk of the Blue Helmed Golem's remains with his foot to skid the heavy remains across the floor between Silus and Fancias... bulkier than either of them... in hopes they go prone enough to let the sandstone trap land upon the Golem's wreaked but still massive bulk and not crush them!

Only moments to react... being within melee reach of Von Mackstein as they both attacked the golem... only a twist of fate putting Alaerin clear of the falling Stone Trap .. he steps to Von Mackstein's side raising his greatsword over his head clutching the blade and hilt in both hands and Invoking the last of his Lightning Ward protection tries to catch the falling Sandstone Block with his enhanced Strength and hold it ...just long enough for Von Mackstein to dash out from under the massive block... and drop it once the commander construct is clear!

Certainly NOT his best plan... but he's improvising with only fractions of seconds to act... or watch allies slain...

Actions:
1. Use Enhanced Strength to shove Blue Helmed Golem Wreaked Bulk toward Silus and Francias to go prone to avoid being crushed next to the bulk of the destroyed golem's massive bulk
2. Lightning Ward - with Empowered Greatsword to add some small remaining protection from falling Sandstone Trap {[Fighting Style-'Greatsword'] F, [Lightning Blight] F, Barrier F - character generates a lightning field to block or weaken incoming attacks. - F}
3. Step to Von Mackstein's Side and "Catch" falling Sandstone Trap with Enhanced Strength & Lightning Warded Greatsword to hold weight temporarily long enough for Von Mackstein to scramble clear of falling stone trap ~ Then Drop the weight!

Silus grunts as he he gets caught while stumbling, causing him to fall on the ground, as he tries to kick against the hands he notices AnoYi taking that hit and about the pass out from it, causing Silus to reach into one of his pouches and grabbing a small vial with a deep red liquid in it that he throws at AnoYi, causing the vial the break releasing a small puff of red gas over AnoYi

Actions:
1. Attempt to break away from the hands hold
2. Use Healing potion on AnoYi (my skill not an actual potion just to be clear)

Character: Francis Fouquenot
Status: Trying new recipes.

For a brief moment Francis was startled and confused as he found himself stumbling, dropping his pan in the process. Glancing down he spotted the source of his lack of grace. Two ghostly hands gripping his legs. There was a fraction of a second where he had begun to panic…but upon recalling his frying pan intercepting one he would muse to himself. “libère-moi” he exclaimed as he fished in his bag for what he hoped would be a solution to his predicament. Grabbing the first tube he found he would draw it and shake pepper over the two hands. Cursing he cast the pepper aside and fished out his second tube…salt. Shaking that onto the ghostly hands he would pause for a moment hoping that would do something yet when the response didnt come fast enough he took drastic measures. Pulling his left ankle up and bending down he would try to bite the hand off of his left ankle…inwardly hoping the seasonings made it more palatable.

Actions
1: Peppering the ghost hand
2: Salting the Ghost hand
3: Basic attack, Biting. (Elasticity F, Devour F, Enhanced digestion F)

Character: AnoYi
Status: recovering

The Coyote's usually sharp hearing rang with a high pitched whine that matched the double and triple vision as his consciousness wavered in the twilight realm between the waking world and total unconsciousness. The only thing he could remember was a walking moving statue but not how he'd ended up tasting sand and blood. Clawed fingers scrabbled over the sandstone tiles as he tried to stand, something inside him spurring him to get up.
A burst of red color flooded around him, the mist clinging to his crippled form. He gave a great heave and breathed in the crimson mists and felt inexorably drawn back to the 'here and now'...or what passed for it. Coughing and rising unsteadily, he oriented himself to the situation. Scraping himself off the gritty floor even as bone and muscle knitted back together, AnoYi blinked a couple of times before moving to assist Silus against his ghostly attackers.
"Thanks for the assist! Now I know how roadkill feels..." he quipped as his blade flashed against the ghostly gripping hands grasping at Silus.

Actions:
1) recover
2) Move towards Silus (Fast F)
3) Attack the ghostly hands (basic attack)

Another assault performed, another expected victory achieved. "Hah! Our success was never in question!" The machine exclaimed victoriously, a second before its multidirectional microphones picked up the sound of the pillars being displaced by an unclassified energy phenomenon, and its optical sensors recorded the scene itself. However, luckily for the war-relic, one of the irregulars moved to try and intercept the falling pillar on top of it.

"Danke, Herr Storm!" It uttered, while it moved, jackboots hitting against the sandy floor, away from the falling pillar and towards Francis. [Von Mackstein - Action 1] And, as he moved, one authoritative gloved finger was pointed towards the falling pillars: while he might be out of their destructive tumbling, the same wasn't guaranteed about his other allies. "Firing solution, turn those pillars into dust! Now!" The next target for the Line Fusiliers were clear. [Von Mackstein - Action 2]

The Line Fusiliers didn't waste time. Snapping their carbines to the side, they aimed at the falling pillars. "DOWN." They repeated together, as triggers were squeezed and round, which exploded as they reached their targets, were shot. [Line Fusiliers #1, #2, #3, #4 - Action 1/2]

As for Von Mackstein, upon getting close to Francis, joined the attack against the ethereal hand, saber gliding through the air as it slashed against it. "You will be crushed under my boot heel!" [Von Mackstein - Action 3]

(Narrator Note: Normally the potion which bolsters strength would have worn off the round it was consumed without magic duration augmentor skill, but because the use is creative I think I’ll allow rule of cool, also while not relevant in this instance just becareful because using skills that are flavored a magic abilities require focus to move and cast same time, but because Silus stayed stationary and didn’t move feet this round it’s a non issue in this case imo)

Alaerin did feel that the window was quite small for him to act, as he could already feel the strength boost that he got from the potion was not something that was going to stick around forever, the feeling already starting to leave him by the time that he was skidding over, and pushing over the remains of the blue helmeted golem. The remains made a loud grinding sound against the hallway, thankfully Alaerin managed to avoid triggering any more redstone trap tiles from what his party and himself could tell.

It started out okay, but the closer he got and pushed the more and more he strained and the less progress happened, just as thankfully by the time he felt the potion effects fully leave him, he had just managed to get a good portion of it between Silus and Francis just before one of the pillars made contact with the golem’s body and cracked where it struck.

By the time Alaerin made his way to the pillar and raised another ward of electrical energy which had a physicality too it, the barrier helped to redistribute some of the weight which he felt pressing down on him pretty quickly and it was feeling overwhelming in short order not much of the potion left, but before the situation could become much more dangerous,

Von Mackstein’s infantry units had opened fire with explosive rounds once again which rung out in the halls causing sizable chunks of the pillar to explode off creating dust in the space, which induced some coughing in Alaerin, but it meant that his barrier allowed for the now smaller chunks of stone to slide off, the energy searing some of their surfaces a bit as the energy crackled.

This was because with the golem’s body bracing one of the pillars, it allowed for the line Fusiliers to open fire on the remaining more immediately harmful pillars with greater intensity, breaking them up into pieces as well, thankfully they aimed with great accuracy and immediacy at receiving their order, these combinations of events making the synergy of the party’s response effective to the traps.

Silus threw his splash potion even while grappled, it made the deed a bit harder but he managed, in part thanks because he didn’t move from the ground where he stood. The splash potion landed near AnoYi.

AnoYi felt the red gaseous potion go over him and it only made him feel..a bit better, healing F wasn’t the most potent for the type of damage he had just taken, but it was enough to stabilize and stop him from losing consciousness even if the site where he was hit still hurt a good deal when all was said and done, but he was still able to rush forward after taking a recovery action.

When he slashed at the ghostly hand something strange happened..

Von Mackstein moved across the battlefield and also attacked at the ghostly arm with his sword, instead of what one might expect, both AnoYi and Mackstein’s blades cutting through the arms like they had physicality soon after pained yell filled the area, as ghostly strands attempted to stitch what was cut back together.

The shrieking sound only became louder when Francis started to bite one of the arms that was on him, after peppering and salting it, there was physicality behind it and he could taste a most unusual earthy flavor which was very savory, the salt and the pepper..maybe adding something nice to it.

Short Four armed skeleton

“STOP IT! DON’T YOU DARE EAT ME! WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU?!”
The raspy voice called out, the part where Francis bit did break off, bestowing..a strange energy taste.

And once the dust had settled from the pillars being destroyed a strange four armed looking short skeletal person came out from behind one of the pillar walls in the distance. Their eye sockets glowing a strange green that was similar to the ghostly aura of the arms which were now retreating from Silus and Francis after two had been cut down a third bitten, all of them ungrappling, and pulling back. Their four arms stopped glowing green at the hands as they had been.

“If It wasn’t apparent, you aren’t wanted here so just get out of here already!” They exclaimed with an annoyed tone.

“Do you have any idea how long it took to build those golems?! A longer time than it took you to break them I can assure you! And these pillars were works of art!” The skeleton continued to rant some.

Round/Combat summary:

Pillars successfully dealt with, Alaerin successful, Mackstein and units successful

Silus ungrappled

Francis ungrappled

AnoYi stabilized.

With the assault coming to an end, all immediate threats seemingly have been dealt with, Von Mackstein speakers let out a clear, resonant gruff. "That was the type of victory reserved only for men of valor, under the watchful eye of the Kaiser!" The machine declared, tone resonant, confident and dangerously boisterous.

Its head shifted, following the recoiling ethereal arm with its optical scanners. And, if possible, the war-relic's 'eyes' would have narrowed as they reached the four-armed skeleton who emerged from one of the pillars. The creature's indignation about one of the irregulars, Francis, having tried to eat one of its ghastly appendages in self-defense found no purchase on the machine. "So, YOU are behind all of this, you anarchist!" One gloved finger, pointed accusatorially against the being, before boots began stomping against the sandstone. [Von Mackstein - Action 1]

As it marched forward, the commanding machine emitted a quick series of beeps and signals, coming out its speaker. [Von Mackstein - Action 2] The sounds prompted all the four Line Fusiliers to snap their carbines once more, the sights trained now on the anatomically aberrant creature. [Line Fusiliers #1, #2, #3, #4 - Action 1]

And, upon reaching it, the automata's arms launched, trying to grab the bony-individual by its protruding upper collarbone and shaking it around. "Who planned this rebellion? Who is leading your numbers? Are you in cohorts with that mustachioed lance-corporal?!" The machine began questioning the skeleton, intent being more important than its alien visage.
