Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the site! I’ve been around here for… well, let’s just say a long time (over a decade of lurking and browsing). I figured it’s finally time to put myself out there and post an interest check of my own.
I’ll be adding more as inspiration strikes, but if you’re into romance, darker themes, classic tropes done well, and rich, character-driven stories, you’re in the right place.
I’m nearly forty and have been roleplaying for more than half my life (wild, right?). With that said, I’d really prefer my writing partners to be 25+. Nothing personal — I just tend to enjoy stories on the darker, more mature side, and I’d like to keep things comfortable for everyone.
I’m pretty open-minded when it comes to content and themes, but I’ll always respect your limits. Just let me know your boundaries — I take that seriously.
I don’t tend to come in with a rigid plot — I prefer to build something together, let ideas bounce naturally, and see where the story takes us.
My posting schedule can be unpredictable thanks to my job in veterinary medicine (some weeks I can reply daily, others I’m swamped and barely touch my computer). I’m usually available for OOC chatting on Discord, though that’s totally optional.
As for writing length, I tend to mirror my partner. I do enjoy some depth and detail, but I’m not a snob about it. As long as we’re both engaged and having fun, that’s what matters. Quality over quantity for sure!
ROMANCE-- Yes please! Slow burn or insta-connection, I love it all! Drama/conflict/angst-- Let's torture these boys. I kid. But truly, a little fluff is great, but all sunshine and rainbows is nowhere near as fun as mixing things up. Whether it's between the characters or something that the main pairing has to weather together, sign me up! Mental illness-- I know this can be a touchy subject for some, but I find this to be very fun to write. Drugs/alcohol/addiction-- see above Taboo/forbidden romance-- Big fan, yes please! I enjoy a good power imbalance (student x teacher, doctor patient, therapist x client, etc.), but I'm also not opposed to things society frowns upon (incest, twincest, etc) Age difference-- I would say, as above, this is another flavor of taboo or power imbalance.
I am sticking to MxM for now, and lean towards playing cis men, often tending toward bottoms or switches (though that’s definitely not a rule). I love exploring love triangles and poly ships, and I’m more than happy to juggle multiple characters — or play opposite yours if that’s your thing.
I’m flexible! My comfort zones are modern and fantasy, but I’m open to just about anything if the concept grabs me.
