Yumi stood as the Princess arrived, replacing the scythe on her back before bowing respectfully. She listened to her words silently and bowed again as she left. She turned her attention to Hiruq as he asked if they had discussed their abilities, and listened attentively as some of the others spoke. When an appropriate pause came, she stepped forward. "Yumi," she said simply, a hand on her chest to indicate it was an introduction. She tapped the haft of her scythe next. "I fight with. This. No magic. No range. But. I am good at. Sneaking. Disappearing. Hunting in the dark." She stepped back meekly, giving the next person an opportunity to speak.

Itsy

Titles:
Beastkin - Mundane, Small (4ft) - 6ecff6

As another particular person joined the group, who Itsy could only gander to be a very important person, given the procession following her, the small beastkin couldn’t connect immediately who it was. Eventually, however, his beady, hazel eyes would grow, and one hand would quickly remove his feathered hat. He bowed, trying to show the degree of respect that a princess probably expected. And, only after standing for quite a few moments like that, would Itsy rise once more.

“I… I also know no magic…” He followed right after Yumi, his stepping forward making the rapier on his belt clink softly as he moved. “I fight at c-close range with my sword… I can also see well in the dark, and I’m pretty fast by my size.” Having given his full skill-set, he stepped back with a soft thud as his boots clicked against the floor.

MoO

Moo was not that much ammused by the talking and explaining, like usual. She did however, give Yukan a big toothy grin. She recognized a strong ally and a potential opponent in the future to test her strength. Besides the giant racoon warrior, she didn't care much about the other lady or the guard. Moo just chewed on her bark jerky when they mentioned her and nodded. She was Moo.

The reunion with the others did peek her curiosity though. So many warriors, so many she could challenge to a duel. But, it wasn't the time for that. They were going to fight these so called undead. Which didn't make any sense to Moo. How can someone be undead? If ya ain't dead, then you're alive! You can't be not dead, because dead is a thing and not a not thing! Some of these people were supposed to be super smart and yet it was humble Moo who seemed to understand they were not dead, just badly alive.

Moo's ears did perk up when someone asked for food. While her jerky had been good, she could go for a bowl of something else. But first, she had to fall in line and talk about her abilities like everyone was. It was pretty simple, just look at her and you knew what she did.

"Am Moo. Y'all kenkal meh Moo. Ay heet stagh n reely'ard." Moo scratched the back of her head. "Ay laik'em celmun." She added in case anyone was taking orders.

Whatever the case was, food or not, Moo was ready to start hitting stuff. She did wonder about the strategies they were going to use to fight this army of not living so well beings and that just made Moo remember that one time there was a overwhelming amount of fish in the river that she and her brother bears couldn't catch them.

"Jus'gutta am grab em laik won'o'em crabbers. Ya'now?" She looked at Yumi and Itsy before at the rest of the group. "Paw!" Moo opened her arms and then closed them, making a circle in between them and her chest. "Laik'a crabber, pinch pinch."

Yume

Yume didn't look intimidated by Youko's response, as much as amused. She did, however, cease petting. "And so, the tradition is complete~" was the only response she offered, needlessly and intentionally vague. "Thank you for your service~"

Calmly, Yume wandered to the corner of the room, simply watching and observing. "Who knows," Yume answered the man who asked about her presence, shrugging as she delivered the most non-answer possible.

There were a lot of people around, of varying shapes, sizes, and even species. Colorful, fluffy, hot-tempered, cool and collected. One by one, they introduced themselves, as Yume watched. She, of course, wouldn't. Wouldn't even matter if she did. But one introduction... irked her.

"Excuse me...?" Yume raised an eyebrow at mispronounced-Yume. She couldn't possibly have known, and Real-Yume knew that, but it didn't stop her from biting her lower lip. Fake-Yume had just stolen her name! And worse, they'd actually remember it. Stupid, privileged scythe girl...

"I think you made a mistake. I'm Yume. You're... Alice." A creeping invasive thought crawled into Alice's mind, whispering insistently, against all logic, that her name was, in fact, Alice. [Mind Control F] "You really shouldn't steal people's names, Alice. Especially when they're fond of them. It's not as funny as you think."

The moment passed without ceremony. With the Hime-sama already withdrawn and Rextelian occupied elsewhere, the gathered warriors were left beneath the walls with nothing but wind, snow, and one another.

Hiruq listened as the group spoke in turn. He did not interrupt Youko’s explanation of her combat style, nor Varius’ concern for positioning and infection, nor Yukan’s careful breakdown of formation tactics. When KaMara finally spoke, grounded and practical, he turned fully toward her.

“You don't need to call us commanders. We're not here to take any lead position.” Hiruq said calmly. “Command here rests with Commander Rextelian, under the authority of the Yamamoto clan.”

He glanced briefly toward the inner keep before continuing.

“We came to discuss alliance and to offer aid against a common problem that plagues these lands.”

His gaze shifted briefly to Youko.

“Close combat is good. ” he said. “The undead do not break easily, but they can be overwhelmed.”

To Varius, his tone remained even.

“Your caution is warranted. But it this curse, or whatever it is, isn't spread through infection. Only those who die near the undead, will rise again.”

Yukan’s contribution was met with a short nod.

“Aye, I got to witness your fire usage just a few days ago. That will be of great help against the undead.”

Around them, the guards who had been hovering uncertainly now relaxed slightly. With no immediate orders forthcoming and dusk still hours away, one stepped forward and gestured toward the inner corridors.

“Mess hall is open,” the beastkin said. “Warm food while it lasts.”

Stone passageways wound between the inner walls and the keep, their surfaces worn smooth by decades of boots and claws alike. Paper lanterns hung at regular intervals, their light muted and steady, casting long amber shadows that stretched and bent with each turn. The smell of smoke followed them, not acrid, but old and familiar, the scent of a city that had been burning fuel carefully for far too long.

The mess hall sat low within the structure, partially recessed into the stone itself. Its ceiling beams were thick and darkened with age, reinforced to hold the weight of winter storms above. Long tables filled the space, scarred by use rather than neglect. Benches bore marks of claws, blades, and heavy armor set down too often in haste.

Through narrow slit windows, the sky continued its slow descent. The light outside shifted from pale gray to deeper blue, clouds gathering low against the mountains. Snow fell in fine, steady sheets, coating rooftops and roads alike.

Yukan Koyake
Yukan took notice of those who were visible to him and who spoke with occasional nods, also giving one of acknowledgement to Moo.

Yukan was pleased to hear that it was not spread by infection, but that still meant that those who were killed by them or..died near them even were likely to rise again as undead which was far from ideal.

The Tanuki warrior gave another nod when Hiruq responded to Yukan’s fire abilities. Hopefully it would be the fire that would cleanse evil away.

Yukan had learned by that point not to be nearly as judgemental about appearances for those who could fight, he was more inclined to believe those who were there that they were being genuine about their abilities regardless if they looked fierce or not.

“It sounds like we’ve assembled some capable fighters in tandem with the resources provided by those lending supporting, I suppose once we see the exact enemies we are dealing with, as far as an approximate number and their behavior that will better inform our battle plan moving forward.”

Yukan continued to speak rather seriously, before he looked over hearing about the mess hall.

“Well then, perhaps we should rally our strength then. One never knows when a meal will be their last.” Yukan stated matter of fact. Now that he had two near death experiences and one fatal experience, he knew that well enough.

With that Yukan decided to be available to talk things through with others there as deemed necessary as well as partake in what was being offered in the hall.

Youko quickly hearing that food was available would head straightforward the chow without a second though her whole body now mostly relaxed though her eyes would keep on the one that tried petting her earlier when possible. Even relaxed ao to speak part of Youko kept alert her muscles still slightly tense as she was almost always ready to jump into a fight. She would also take a seat alone as she ate.

Itsy

Titles:
Beastkin - Mundane, Small (4ft) - 6ecff6

The way the moose woman, Moo, spoke made Itsy's eyebrows knit together as he tried his darnest to catch what she said. "Hit and hit hard..." The small beastkin repeated to himself. "B-but if you grab them like that... you will be smelling of dead people..." The swordsman's long snout would tilt to the left and then to the right, the very idea of reeking of corpses not entertaining him in the slightest. "M-maybe the cold don't make them too smelly..." He could only hope.

Then there was apparently some confusion about names: Yun-me, Yummy; one that he rather not be a participant of. Instead, his beady eyes would drift towards Yukan, his gaze appraisingly. "Fire attacks... is there fire coatings we can perhaps use...?" He let the question linger, as he walked towards the mess hall with tiny steps, each accompanied by the clicking of his heels against the floor.

In there, he sat wherever a seat was available, not minding too much. From the pouch slung over his neck, he produced a rather sizable block of CHEESE. And, bringing it to his mouth, Itsy began gnawing on it at lightning speed.

KaMara nodded in acquiesce to Hiruq's insistence on not being considered a superior, instead just as a comrade in arms. The others brought up good points and addressed quickly by Hiruq. There was still plenty of daylight left to discuss any other questions that arose. Importantly, those questions could be discussed inside where the wind wasn't gnawing the heat from her bones. She was no stranger to the icy cold and damp, shed lived in a cave for the last however many years it'd been since she came to this weird world. But this kind of chill was on a whole new level...

She followed the cadre through the narrow passages of the wall and into the Mess. The thick, smoke stained timbers and scarred tables had a million war stories to tell and most of them sad. KaMara kept close to Emily and took a seat at the long trencher table across from her and beside the small Mousekin. "She sounds like the folks 'back home'." she said to Itsy, nodding towards Moo, as she accepted a steaming bowl of broth and noodles from a kitchen steward. "Clearest spoken person I've heard in a while..." Taking a couple of draughts of the thin, but hot, stock from the bowl she continued, " Don't worry about how she fights and fight your own fight. Y'know. I bet you're fast and nimble. Surgical, no, tactical strikes at vulnerable spots. Right? Me and the Antler Lady are big ol' targets to draw attention so you and 'You-May' and the others can do your thing..." She flashed a smile at the 'Mouseketeer' as she looked away to see if there was any bread to go with the noodles & broth.

The name Alice tried to settle into her thoughts — soft, coaxing, and insistent. For a brief moment, her eyes glazed over like the magic was taking hold, but the blue beneath the fog quickly forced its way to the surface again. Her expression became stern as she stared at Yume and pushed back against the voice in her head.

“Iie.”

The sound of her own voice was still strange to her ears, though speaking in her native tongue seemed to be a bit easier. As she spoke, the thought carried back along the intrusive thread, clear and deliberate.

No.

Yumi’s eyes met Yume’s, calm and level.

“Yumi to moushimasu.”

The meaning followed once again, bleeding through the same mental channel that had been used against her.

My name is Yumi.

She severed the connection without waiting for a response. She inclined her head in a shallow bow — the bare minimum courtesy demanded — before turning and heading for the mess hall. There, she took a seat near Kamara, Emily, and…Itsy, was it? That’s right, she reassured herself. She produced a strip of jerky from her rations, and quietly gnawed at it as the others talked, choosing to direct her irritation at the dried meat instead of the drill-haired witch.

Moo had just given them the key to victory and nobody seemed to have noticed. Even the tiny mouse thought they were gonna hug them or something. Then again, she wasn't a genius, she was just good at hitting stuff and of course, eating.

To be big, you gotta eat big! At least that's what Moo believed in. She learned to eat from mama bear and oh boy could she eat. Moo patted her belly and started walking towards the gathering where people where getting their meals. It smelled good! Something about being around humans that Moo grew to love was the way they mixed all kinds of things to make new and tasty meals. That and beer, oh boy did they nail beer.

Moo walked over and took a sit down at the edge of the table setting her bag stuffed with bark jerky down. Then it came. A nice big bowl with a nice warm feeling and a scent that made Moo slap her knees and howl in joy. "Na'dis'botta'be guan'em 'elichious teizzty dangs y'all'mix'em stafph intah guan em big'ol'bawls, ain'tit?" She grinned and looked down at her meal. "Dank'ya!"

Moo put her hands around the bowl and put it up to her nose, sniffing the delicious scent before slurping it down like a thirsty moose on a hot Canadian day, I don't know, it was just really loud and quick slurping, okay? Moo put the bowl down and sighed loudly. "Kennet'gal git'sum'ore?" She called out, raising her hand and waiting patiently in her spot.

Youko would quietly eat in the corner eating with great fervor yet her eyes scanned the room watching over everyone with curiosity. After the undead are taken care of she'd love to have a good spar with many of the fighters here, the big moose lady especially. In one of the rare moments she is calm she tries to think of a useful way she can fight the undead best and be a help to everyone else. Her ears and tail flick periodically as she thinks hard on it but yet nothing comes to mind other than claw them to ribbons which is her usual tactic. Eh whatever she's never been a tactical genius, she just likes hitting things.

Youko looks to Itsy carefully sizing him up then scooches closer. "What is your name small one? I am Youko. I hope we can fight well together. Though small I can tell you will fight greatly" she gives a bright smile inadvertently flashing her fangs at the small mousketeer yet her whole demeanor is friendly and unthreatening at the moment. She honestly wants to try making friends.

Varius stood off to the side eating an apple, with a water skin in the other hand as he took a sip. Watching out the window, clearly keeping distance from the others, not out of malicious intent but of his own isolation. As he drank his water he watched movement in the smog of the world beyond him. Looking at the trees and the walls as if they would come to life with the chaos around them. Varius took another crunch of his apple as he thought [“We need to succeed so they can live, then figure out a way to save what land they have so they can grow.”]. He sighed as he turned towards the group, resting against the windowsill as he watched them eat amongst one another.

Yume

"Ohh…?" Yume hummed as the woman answered her ‘suggestion’ with a gentle push-back, smile widening ever-so-slightly as she felt the lady resist. Her yellow eyes grew just a touch bright, like a predator having found, not prey, but an interesting toy to play with.

In the mess hall, the woman had selected a spot already well-surrounded, likely on purpose. Unfortunately for her, it wasn’t enough, as Yume simply snatched a chair and dragged it across the room with a painfully slow, loud screeech, depositing it right behind her and the small mouse. She took her seat, reaching past them to snatch a bread roll and crossing her legs as she ate.

"Aww, Alice, it’s not polite to avoid new friends~" she playfully chirped, mouth half full of bread.

Suddenly, Yume’s voice reverberated in Yumi’s brain ‎[Telepathy E], more forceful than before. Probing and invasive. ‘And friends ought to know each other, right? Open sesame~’ The probing grew even stronger to match her resistance [Telepathy D], Yume’s presence quickly escalating to the point of overwhelming Yumi’s own thoughts. ‘Don’t be so shy! I’ll give you one of mine~’

Suddenly, Yumi’s mind filled with a foreign memory. A fanciful fae in a luxurious masquerade, filled with colorful beastkin and other northern folk, each wearing intricate masks. ‘Sugoi~! So resilient!’ The otherworldly word felt deliberate. Yume simply continued to sit, calmly eating her bread, while her eyes seemed to glow bright with magic. ‘So alike, you and I. A similar name, a similar home. Just a little nibble and your thoughts could be mine: two minds into one! I wonderful how you’d feel as a part of me? Exciting, ne~?’

Yume finished off her roll, licking her fingers as if nothing strange was going on in the chair in front of her. ‘But lucky for you, I like two more than one. So instead, we’ll be the best of friends. I’ll even give you your name back. After all, friends share~’

The golden tip of Yume’s staff lowered to point directly at Yumi from behind while she was distracted. The act was overt: an enchantress blatantly bewitching someone at the dinner table with a self-confident smirk that almost dared the others to try and stop her.

Suddenly, seamlessly, Yumi’s memories began to rewire. Yumi, Yuki, and… Hikari.

"Ne ne, Yumi-chan! If I were ever isekai’d for real, I’d become a psychic, and then you could talk to me anytime, just by thinking! Wouldn’t that be cool!?"

The memories weren’t just random. They were targeted. Yume was reading deep, personal desires to craft something that felt not like a forced phantom, but like a real forgotten memory that just made sense.

"Yuki! No, she… she can’t be! H-How could you!? You monsters!"

"Do you remember me now, Aoi?" Yume asked with a sweetness that sounded disturbingly genuine despite the situation. "It’s me, Hikari. I became a psychic… just like I promised, hehe~!" She raised her staff, having completed the spell. "Though I guess I don’t even need to be now that you have a voice. Do you think Yuki made it here too?" Yume looked more amused than happy to see her long-lost friend.

The hall around them was filled with the sound of the living. While it was a cold and stark time in the fort, there was no denying that its people were alive and refusing to give up. Movement and ambient noise surrounded the gathered party of outsiders. Some locals gave them a wide berth. Some cast suspicious glares. Others ignored them entirely. Regardless, life went on, largely unbothered by the unfamiliar presence in their midst.

Hiruq took his seat at one of the long tables alongside Moo, motioning for Yukan to sit nearby as well. He accepted a bowl of stew and began to eat while watching the room around him. Before he managed a single spoonful, his attention was drawn elsewhere.

He blinked, watching as Moo shoveled her meal down and drained the bowl with impressive gusto. When she began to ask for more, he snorted softly, a grin pulling at his lips. He stretched his hand out, offering his own bowl.

“Here, Moo. You need it more than I do.”

He chuckled, glancing toward the others as they slowly became more familiar with one another.

His eyes slid over Yume, not for the first time in the past half hour. There was something there that hinted at mild reproach, but he did not interfere with her antics. Instead, he busied himself listening to the discussions nearby. His grin widened slightly when attention turned toward Itsy.

“Indeed. One should not judge by the size of their opponent alone. I look forward to witnessing your bravery, little one.”

Despite the faintly wolfish edge to his grin, his words were sincere.

He shifted his gaze again, this time toward the girl with the long blue hair and scythe.

“Yumi, was it?” he asked. “You’re speaking Japanese? It’s not something you hear very often here. Surprisingly.”

He chuckled, the tone light, as if making casual conversation rather than acknowledging a language from another world.

As the group spent time over the small amount of food provided, the hours crept by. The light beyond the narrow windows dimmed, and late afternoon settled over the fort. Before long, Commander Rextelian arrived, the crimson-haired kitsune beside him.

“It is time,” he said simply.
“We muster at the gates.”

He offered no further explanation. With that, he turned and departed, the kitsune moving with him.

The hall began to empty.

Outside, Nan Gau was already preparing for night. Lanterns were being lit along the inner walls, their warm glow fighting against the encroaching blue of dusk. Snow continued to fall in steady sheets, muting sound and softening the edges of the city. The gates stood open, guards forming loose lines as the assembled fighters gathered.

Rextelian stood at the head of them all, just inside the castle gates.

Beyond the walls, the road stretched northward.

It cut through frozen fields and climbed steadily into the mountain pass, winding between snow-laden trees and jagged stone. The wind carried the scent of ice and distant storms, sharp and biting. Footsteps crunched against packed snow as the group began to move, the warmth of the city fading with every step away from the walls.

Ahead, the Paizu Mountains rose dark and heavy beneath low clouds.

Somewhere beyond them lay Nan-Li.

And as the last light of day slipped behind the peaks, the march truly began.

As cold as the mountain hold was on the outside, it held an abundance of warmth inside. Maybe not in actual temperature but in resilience and a sense of home...of community. The people that lived in Nan Gau were determined to stay, to live, in this place and looked out for each other. If she had to admit it, KaMara enjoyed the sense of community. She hadn't really known she missed it until venturing out into the world. She'd been happy, in a way, living in the cave with Him but maybe she'd just grown used things that way. Not knowing what she was missing...
Having eaten and with a few hours left before dusk, the warrior found herself an unoccupied space near the meager fire flickering in the hearth and did what soldiers have done since there were soldiers. She slept. They'd be marching at dusk and in the numbing cold, she intended to get all the rest she could.

Only the muster call roused her from her nap. It wasn't exactly refreshing sleep but it was better than nothing. "Is the weather always this bad or is this something the Dead brought with them?" she asked as the group marched from the gates of Nan Gau. "If they brought it in, I'll put my sword to every one of 'em til it gets warm again.". Every step towards Nan Li did little to improve her mood towards these undead. KaMara kept herself warm with the thoughts of what she was going to do when she met them.

Itsy

Titles:
Beastkin - Mundane, Small (4ft) - 6ecff6

Itsy would look up from the disproportionate block of CHEESE he held in his hands with great difficulty, finger barely wrapping around the wheel-like object. Those black, beady eyes would look onto the swordswoman, KaMara, its surface shiny and glossy. “I… I didn’t mean as a critique…” He muttered, cheeks bulging from the amount of dairy currently being chewed in his mouth. “B-but, you… you are right and I appreciate drawing their attention…” Appreciatively, he would give the CHEESE another bite.

And as Youko scooted closer, he turned towards the cat-kin, still mid-gnawing the wheel of dairy. “My… my name is Itsy… nice to meet you, Youko.” His long, skinny tail swished back and forth behind him, boots dangled absently minded. “I’m sure we will fight great… t-together. I’ve trained… quite a bit.” The beastkin continued in a tiny voice.

Yet, all the brevity stopped for Itsy as soon as the commander showed up at the entrance of the hall. His tail stopped moving immediately, becoming rigid. Swallowing the last piece of crunched cheese in his mouth, he stored what remained from the wheel into the little leather bag again. “T-time to show them what we can do.” Taking a moment to look at his comrades, he took up from his seat with the tiniest of clicks as his heels hit the ground.

Every step from the small shrew was accompanied by the shifting of his rapier, the crunching of the snow under him and a heavy exhale every once in a while. Despite it all, he felt as prepared as he could be for what waited for them.

The memories didn’t arrive like an intrusion. They settled into place, like the pieces of a puzzle. They threaded themselves through her thoughts with an ease that was almost frightening. No irregular edges, no sense of being forced into place. Laughter she didn't remember hearing, places she didn’t recall visiting, but seemed more familiar the more she focused on them. And with them, a presence that felt as natural as breathing. It was warm, comforting, familiar.

Too familiar.

Yumi’s jaw tightened almost imperceptibly as the images continued to unfold. Yuki’s face, clear as day, a tear streaming down her cheek. The smell of steel and smoke. The moment everything shattered.

And next to Yumi, screaming in a way she had been unable to at the time, was her.

Hikari

The name slid into place as if it belonged there. The memories insisted it did. Childhood afternoons, whispered promises, shared dreams. It all made sense. Too much sense.

Except for the way it didn't.

Hikari

Something deep in her chest twisted as the name echoed in her mind again. A quiet dissonance, like a word pronounced slightly wrong. The presence Yume tried to place beside her in that moment did not belong. The scene bent around her inclusion, strained to accommodate a shape that had never been part of it. In that world, there had been Shadow and Light, two halves of a whole. There had never been room for a third.

There had only been one Hikari there.

And she had died.

The moment that realization hit, Yumi pushed it down, locking it away somewhere Yume's voice couldn't easily reach. Not forgotten, but rather guarded in a way she would take to her grave, no matter how hard the witch tried to take it away.

When she finally turned her head to look at Yume, Yumi's expression was calm. Not necessarily distant, but not particularly joyful, either, the way one looked at an old acquaintance after too much time had passed. She managed to muster a small smile.

"It's. Been a while... Yume."

There was no accusation in her voice, though she made a point of not using the name Hikari, instead sticking with the name she had been accused of stealing.

As Yume asked about Yuki, Yumi paused for a fraction of a second longer than necessary, eyes lowering as if considering the thought. It was a possibility she hadn't considered, if only because she didn't want to get her hopes up. When she spoke, she kept her words simple and honest without giving anything away.

"I... don't know," Yumi answered quietly. "I haven't. Seen her."

She made no move to confront the fake memories, no attempt to push back further. If this was a game, then she would play it, but on her own terms. Better to keep Yume close and let her believe she had won.

Yumi turned her head toward Hiruq, blue eyes meeting his briefly. She allowed herself the faintest hint of relief. Finally, literally anything else to focus on. It wasn’t much, but it was enough to draw her attention away from Yume for a moment. She gave the man a small, almost imperceptible nod, accompanied by a soft, "Hai," her voice calm and measured. "I am. Not very used. To speaking. But I find it. A bit. Easier. In my native. Tongue."

At last, the call to move out came. Yumi's fingers brushed over the leather straps of her scythe and the fastenings on her belt as she walked to the gate, checking that each piece of equipment was secure, partially to distract herself from the events of the mess hall. The spell had ended long ago, but the fake memories had not left when the magic did. She tugged the hood of her black cloak up and over her head, pulling it low to hide her face in shadow. She kept a keen eye on Yume, but otherwise kept to herself for the time being. The cold air bit at her cheeks as she faced the mountains ahead and began the cold march through the snow. Though she stayed with the group, old habits kicked in, and she faded into the darkness, staying just out of sight while keeping a keen eye and ear out.

Moo knew a true friend when she saw one. Hiruq gave her a bowl and she would risk her life to save his, that's how friendship worked. She didn't hesitate to take the warm meal with a big "Dank'ya!", and slurped it down as if her life depended on it. After she was done, she had two more. If she was going to punch those that are not alive and not dead at the same time, she had to make sure her fists were ready to break through anything, old bones or mushy meat. Then she closed her eyes then and there and fell asleep. She snored softly, being soothed by the sounds of the others talking and her ears twitching now and then while she sat there, back straight and head held high, but sleeping deeply.

She suddenly woke up when she felt the others starting to move, which meant she had to get going also. Moo let out a big hearty yawn and patted her cheeks before standing up. "Guna pawnsh'em nutliverz, huh?" She moved her shoulders in circular motions while following the crowd towards the outside.

Moo stood in the cold snow and she could feel the warm meal running through her vains as she took her hood uff and tucked it under her arm. She wasn't going to depend on some silly cloak to keep her warm, her heart and soul would do that for her! She started walking behind her new leader, Hiruq. "Ca’wai’ta stahrt punchin’ deez ded t’ings tha’ ain’t live’n ain’t ded at saim time."

Moo shrugged, it was so weird, but not as weird as the former opponent she had. The big thing she and the small white haired magical girl with the giant ears, had fought in that dream like world. Still, Moo liked punching things, especially those that deserved it, like those that refused to die.

Yukan Koyake

Yukan, seeing Hiruq gesturing for him to join, gave him a respectful nod of acknowledgement, before he made his way over and sat down near Moo and Hiruq.

without complaint would have eaten whatever was going. He wasn't particularly a picky eater, he had had a many meals out in the field now which were designed for distributing fuel to the body rather than being particularly enjoyable, particularly in his battle against the East Empire. He listened to comments some about food, some about other things, peculiar things.

"I have heard of this Japanese before, I believe that I have met people who can speak it. They have told me that written beastial has similarities but it is not identical to the language which they are familiar with." Yukan commented aloud matter of fact.

He then looked over to Itsy, and said,

"About what you said earlier strategically drenching our enemies in oil comes to mind, of course my fire is quite formidable by itself, but an accelerant certainly could come handy for making those with more mundane means of fire more effective, as depending on the scale of our foes..I may not be able to hit all of them with my perserving sacred fire, If there were too many of them for example."

It was true Yukan's fire was so strong that he could even set fiery beings on fire potentially..being connected to a fire cardinal did that for you it seemed.

Indeed even during down time the Tanuki Warrior tended to think about the task at hand, having difficulty relaxing at times, many of those who he had socialized some with in the past not being around as much, even then at celebrations frequently having a hard time settling down..

No matter he'd look to the table,

"I believe that we have a very capable assembly here. By working together, I have a good feeling that we will be successful in this operation."

But after some time passed. Yukan found himself nodding in agreement. "Very well. The time has come." He'd then make his way out to join in the march, wanting to head closer toward the front of the moving group.

Likely utilizing his Darkvision as well as he looked around, finding his gaze looking to the mountains every now and again finding it hard not too periodically, or even looking at some of the lighting which had started to crop up.

Yukan actions:
Join with others toward front, use Darkvision to look out as the landscape became darker.
