I hope everyone is safe and well during the storm! Don't do anything unnecessary. Stay inside and warm!

Lol, so on Thursday I went hiking on this trail that leads up to the Appalachian Mountains. I got to the top of the mountain just to find out that there wasn't a parking lot or way down there. By then the sun was setting. So I walked an extra mile to reach a road where there was a parking lot and tried to order an Uber. My phone died in the process. So instead of just freezing to death in the dark parking lot I started walking down the road because I saw a truck head that way earlier.
The road seemingly had no end. Didn't even reach a stop sign. Then I saw a dirt road connected to the road I was on and saw tire tracks and a downed sign on it, so I figured it was a way off the mountain. I was wrong. That dirt road also took forever but ended up just being a dead end/campsite(I think).
I was able to turn my phone on for a few seconds to contact my family to let them know I was lost. After I reached the dead end I walked back until I returned to this long rock in the road and fell asleep until the morning. My family drove to the mountain to work with Search and Rescue to find me. They used a helicopter and drones to look for me at around 4/5 AM. The helicopter woke me up but wasn't near me to where it could find me.
So I fully woke up right before the sun rose and started walking again. I made it back to the original road and flagged a car down. They thankfully stopped and picked me up and let me use my charger. I called my mom to let her know I was okay and as we were heading down the road I saw one of the Fire and Rescue trucks that was looking for me and switched cars.
