"Followin' a hunch, y'say?" O'Malley asked with intrigued curiosity as he obliged Loch's unspoken request and passed them the passport. "And what hunch was it that led ya here exactly, m'lass?"
Loch felt a momentary spike of panic when O'Malley asked them to elaborate, until it occurred to them they did in fact have some relevant information they could share.
"Your Pizzeria, O'Malley. They did crossover with this place, right? Well, during that time, did you ever hear of an organization called G.E.N.I.E.?" Loch asked the animatronic.
"Your Pizzeria, O'Malley. They did crossover with this place, right?"
"Indeed they did." O'Malley said in wistful remembrance. "Marvelous times, they were."
"Well, during that time, did you ever hear of an organization called G.E.N.I.E.?"
"Hmm... I'll need to process that one. One moment." O'Malley said, before delving into his memory banks in search of any mention in his presence of an organization going by that name.
Duck-Billed O'Malley uses magic. He rolls a 7, opts to observe another time or place (Specifically, another time or place where he recalls hearing about the G.E.N.I.E. organization.), and opts to pair it with the short duration glitch.
Cassidy nodded her assent to Loch when they asked about holding on to the passport. I hope it's not something that would make them a target. Cassidy thought, completely missing the displeased look the conspiracy theorists was giving her in reference to calling them squishy.
Meanwhile O'Malley had started his show and tell, finally revealing the information he was gleaming from the security cameras of the complex. The segment with the pixie and the child in cages and the scientists preparing to do something... probably unimaginable, made her anger surge. Her thoughts returned with Toby. Unconscious and bound in mid-transformation. Resigned to his foul and ugly fate. Yeah! Not if I have anything to do with it!
With the show and tell done the exchange of questions and answers began. Cassidy squared the axe-man with a stare and answered his question.
I'm here on behalf of a friend o'mine. Toby... Her voice shook slightly when mentioning the name. She cleared her throat, her voice rough with the emotional struggle. He, ah, he said some sorta organization was responsible fer experimentin' with children. Robin' dem o deir years an' p-putin' monsters in deir bodies or somethin'... He... um... he was startin' to... There were horns on 'is head... ah... an' um I felt some entity o'sorts. 'S hard t'explain. Again Cassidy cleared her throat and refocused on the older man. So, yeah! I'm 'ere t'take o'da children. An' t'take down any an' all organizations screwin' with da little ones! Fer... fer Toby!
Cassidy closed her eyes. Images of the pixie and child in cages flooded her mind, mingling with the images of Toby in mid-transformation. The horns piercing his forehead. His body convulsing with the monstrous shift. His desperation and keeping whatever demon had been shoved within him at bay as to not hurt innocence. She allowed her mind's eye to lift up and away from her... Remote viewing was not something she'd ever attempted before, but she didn't want to relay on O'Malley's glimpses of the park. She couldn't afford to put too much trust into his circuits. Too much was at stake! She was prepared to push her abilities to their limit. And twice over if necessary.
Cassidy will attempt to Use Magic-Observe another place (flavored as Remote Viewing) and try to observe the place where the pixie and child were held in cages. I will add my +1 forward from my previous move to this roll. And I rolled a 10.
The Sight: You can see the invisible, especially spirits and magical influences. You may communicate with (maybe even make deals with) the spirits you see, and they give you more opportunities to spot clues when you investigate a mystery.
Tune In: You can attune your mind to a monster or minion. Roll +Weird. On a 10+, hold 3. On a 7-9, hold 1. On a miss, the monster becomes aware of you. Spend one hold to ask the Keeper one of the following questions, and gain +1 ongoing while acting on the answers: • Where is the creature right now? • What is it planning to do right now? • Who is it going to attack next? • Who does it regard as the biggest threat? • How can I attract its attention?
Jinx: You can encourage coincidences to occur, the way you want. When you jinx a target, roll +Weird. On a 10+ hold 2 and on a 7-9 hold 1. On a miss, the Keeper holds 2 over you to be used in the same way. Spend your hold to: • Interfere with a hunter, giving them -1 forward. • Help a hunter, giving them +1 forward, by interfering with their enemy. • Interfere with what a monster, minion, or bystander is trying to do. • Inflict 1-harm on the target due to an accident. • The target finds something you left for them. • The target loses something that you will soon find.
