I'm debating what kind of music I think Adolphian would listen to in his free time. I need a second opinion! He started life as a self insert many years ago, and though he's evolved past that, I wouldn't want his musical tastes to be anything I wouldn't listen to. And I think music taste is as important to a character as anything else!

I think it's my go, next. Now, for a quick question. Would anyone mind if I decided to interrupt things with a wee... Disaster? Nothing serious of course, just something along the lines of mechanical issues causes an emergency landing in the middle of the woods, as opposed to a proper landing in a designated spot? Nobody would be hurt, but it would lead to a certain scientist making an appearance earlier than he'd have planned. And getting a chance to curse out(no actual real life curse words, just an opportunity for creative wordplay) his malfunctioning tech.

I didn's ask who is next, I asked what is next. Usually the GM post progresses the narrative, but I have no idea what is expected of me at this point. Tbh, I was winging it from my first post.

We should be currently progressing our characters to Jubelife City. They should get their letters and make their way to Sinnoh. You get to choose how you get your character from point A to point B. Be creative, time skip, set your course to intersect with someone else's character, whichever you would enjoy writing the most.

Frostecs, a crash sounds epically chaotic. It's a really fun idea. You did mention that the Pokémon he's currently flying on is injured, so it's very believable. Have fun with it. I look forward to the shenanigans.

I'm planning on listening to the music soon, but I think nerding out about our characters is part of the fun of making them. It's something that breathes life into them and makes us excited to play them and imagine them.

@Lord Frostecs Man, that is not what I was expecting, but frankly, I love it! He seemed calm and sort of meek to me, so the idea of him loving this intense music is so real and fun. I like the idea of him being stone-faced and working with headphones blaring this loud enough for other researchers to hear.

If you're interested in crashing, maybe we could cross paths? Elena doesn't exactly have control over steering her flying Pokémon, so it could be a fun way for them to intercept each other.

Oh, I hinted that he was hiring a transport! Granted, it was the final paragraph, so I can see why it was missed. The idea is that his Staraptor isn't strong enough to be a cross-region transport, and especially not while injured. But the bird is a relatively recent addition to his team. Most of them are, actually. Stahlblatt has a well established transport system, especially for transporting goods between the mountains. So of course they got transports that do people! The idea is like... They have a sort of prototype inter-regional transport that has a serious malfunction that leads to a catastrophic failure and one of the engines explodes. Nothing seriously bad, but definitely enough to force the aircraft to land and a disgruntled scientist to try his best in fixing the thing. He's a doctor in both biotechnology and regular technology, after all!

And I'm glad that you think the idea of his musical tastes is interesting! I've always found contrast in music is fun. Like a tough biker-type character being into something like k-pop, a country farmerly type being into electronica, and of course, an Adolphian being into hard metal. It helps to showcase a character! Metal especially helps to showcase his internal emotions are a lot harsher than what we see. I get that sounds edgy, but hey, it is what it is.

Duh. Sorry, I guess I'm a little more out of it than I realized. I did catch it at the end of your last post, so I had to laugh at myself when I read your reply. And your reply was fantastic. I think the cursing was very clever.

My head cannot handle metal music. Heh. If Adolphian likes it, power to him. He can keep it. ;) I'm prone to headaches and have more sensitive hearing with my blindness, so that's part of it. The Finnish polka I was enjoying. It immediately struck me that I recognize the song and it wasn't until just a little while ago that I realized why. I had a memory of my sister being really into Vocaloids and her sharing some of the music with me. I looked it up and found that Miku had a very popular song based off of the one you shared. Listening to it brought back a lot of memories.

I get that! Metal is certainly too harsh for some people. I've grown to enjoy it because I'm also sensitive to sound, but I find loud music helps me drown out the sounds I find unpleasant. Finnish folk music is just lovely, partially because the language sounds so nice~

I ended up going to the doctor today because I was getting worse. I have bronchitis, but I've started on antibiotics and other medicine. Fun times.
