"They're running at us head-on. Closing in from being spread out." Eric had no idea what that meant for the fight but it did get him to look up and notice the door starting to glow before the heat affected him or the injured soldier.
" Move, move!" He haphazardly put everything back in the medkit and closed it before joining the soldier in running to a different safe location, making sure to stay low and to cover the medkit.

Once he arrived at the space the soldier had ran too Eric put the medkit down and wondered what he should do. With the truck between him and the ET's he wasn't sure if he could hit any of them if he used his gun but he also didn't feel like getting close enough to use his knife was an option.

Deciding that he should at least try something Eric picked up his gun and aimed it at one of the ET's far away enough from any soldiers that he didn't have to worry about friendly fire. Unaware that his armband was glowing he pulled the trigger, only for nothing to happen. After a few seconds he realized the safety was still on.

Having turned the safety off Eric pulled the trigger again. As expected he missed the ET he had been aiming at but hit one next to it in the arm, not that it did much besides draw it's attention.

Ivor would look back at the hot metal behind him. The cover of the vehicle probably wouldn't outlast a dozen shots or so from those clay, putty like monsters. But it could at least hold out for a few. He needed to get in a different position as these ET's were headed for them, being prone on the ground only held up for the earlier shots.

One of the ET's had been drawn to Eric as their previous shot had flew by it. Ivor caught a glimpse of it running too close for comfort. He shifted toward a half-kneel to an awkward tackle! Throwing his shoulder into slam into an enemy ET, and hopefully out of its charge toward Eric.

There would be a flash of pink light from Ivor's armband as he made contact with one of the ET's. The light emanating from the armband crystal would spread across the soldier's uniform, manifesting a pink outfit around him. A helmet sprouting soon after and clicking itself around his head with a black visor.
The transformation happened in a flash, but it seemed as if Ivor could actually damage these strange ET's. Maybe there was some step that would trigger it for Eric as well!

Especially as more ET's began to focus their approach on Eric & Ivor. The two were going to be surrounded soon, and may need to fight their way out.

Eric quickly realized he now had two ET's paying attention to him but before he could even try shooting again Ivor tackled one of them. As Eric made sure to point his gun away from the soldier he still noticed the pink outfit appear from nowhere, obviously somehow created by his armband. Before he could process Ivor's sudden transformation the ET's started to surround them, leaving Eric happy he got some pointers on how to use the bayonet.

Wanting to do something Eric tried stabbing the ET closest to him but failed to even pierce its "skin". Instead he got smacked to the side. Laying winded on the ground he struggled to get back up. Before he could do so however the ET got close enough to try kicking him in the head. Eric barely avoided the thing's foot and thinking quickly grabbed the outstretched leg in hopes of making the alien fall.

While the alien was heavier than Eric had expected he managed to succeed, the light coming from his own armband covering both his arms as he pulled. While Eric got back up the light spread to the rest of body before manifesting a green version of the outfit Ivor had gotten.

Ivor didn't have time to fully process his transformation. There had been a brief flash, and a tint of color before he had been on top of one of his enemies. The clay-like ET was starting to spark, and ceased moving. Still Ivor was on the ground, and was going to be surrounded soon if he didn't act quick. His awareness felt heightened, more than normal from his adrenaline rush. Things almost seemed to move a tad, slower. He had time to notice an enemy taking a swing at Eric.

One of the ET's was down, and another was about to be finished thanks to Eric!
As Eric had managed to fell their own opponent towards the ground, Ivor would come in to assist.

"HAH!"
He clasped his gloved hands above his head and swung down toward the ET's eyes, hoping to smash it in. These powerful suits seemed to exert some energy to damage, or even slay these invading ET's. Seen as Eric had managed to physically overpower one of them!

Whether it be from being weakened by a string of bullets earlier, or from the enhanced capabilities from the suits: it seemed easier to fight these ET's on similar footing. Some of the remaining ones were starting to grow cautious and hesitated to jump into the fray right away.

Eric wanted to take some time to inspect his new costume but didn't get the chance before Ivor finished the alien he had downed. Not being as experienced as Ivor he didn't notice that everything seemed to move slower or that the ET's were worried about what just happened. Instead he focused on the nearest alien and tried to push it aside to create an opening.

To his surprise Eric pushed it back much farther than he had expected to, especially since he didn't have a running start. He didn't have too long to think about it though as the alien went on the offensive. The helmet wasn't enough to fully stop Eric from feeling the alien's punch to his head, but it wasn't nearly as bad as it should have been. Not knowing what else to in this situation Eric simply punched the alien in the weird eye on its chest.

Ivor covered his helmet with his arms as he caught the flash of energy subdue the ET beneath him. He had been looking a little too closely into the 'eye' of the defeated ET and got flashed with the light it had emitted. It got a wince out of him, and a small opening for the enemy ET's.

"You okay?"
Ivor grunted out toward Eric, only briefly grabbing a glimpse of the other being hit by a punch.
Only for the soldier to be caught into trouble himself. The flash had blinded the corner of his vision just enough for the enemy ET's to take advantage of it.

As the other couple remaining ET's rushed to grab Ivor under the arms.
They quickly put the soldier into a hold with his arms being pulled at from either end. Holding him in place, and practically leaving his torso open for one of their partners.

Luckily, it looked like Eric may defeat the other remaining ET before it got the chance to join!
Directing the energy from these powerful suits around the ETs' eyes seemed enough to destroy the previous one after all.

"Shi-My gun!"
Ivor's helmet glanced at the two ET's grabbing him, and then toward his rifle on the ground.

" Yeah, I'm good." Eric had no idea if it was his extra strength or the place he hit the ET but it seemed like his punch was enough to knock it out. Before he had the chance to celebrate his victory though it seemed Ivor was having trouble. Eric wasn't sure why Ivor wanted his gun in his situation but he wasn't gonna argue with a trained soldier.

Without looking back he ran towards the rifle and grabbed it, intending to hand it to Ivor after helping him with the two aliens. Unfortunately he got tackled by an ET right as he was about to pick up the weapon. He was able to use it though by smacking the alien in the head with the butt of the rifle. He then used his free hand to try and get one of the ET's holding onto Ivor off so he could return the gun.

Ivor had made a bit of an awkward choice for his gun. Still it was a safety when dealing with enemies, and he had forgotten: his rifle didn't have the bayonet. A slight slip up in calling such out, but the rush of being grabbed had pushed out the decision. He writhed in the grips of the ET's, but it had been a struggle to get loose.

When Eric had been tackled by another enemy ET, confidence returned to the two holding Ivor.
As one of them raised a hand pointing it toward Ivor's head. The form of said hand had melted into the shape of a charging mini-canon.

Luckily Eric had jostled the firing ET on Ivor changing the course of its short. The blast skimming past Ivor's visor and melting the head of the other ET that had been holding Ivor in place. The sparks from the close-range blast, and the fact that the shot ET immediately collapsed to the ground made it clear: another one destroyed.

Ivor would roll with the momentum, flipping himself forward with the ET Eric grabbed.
He slammed himself onto the ground, but slamming the remaining ET into the one that tackled Eric.
